I clicked for the tummy tricks and got a message I didn’t know I needed. Thanks so much for addressing the issue of feeling like not deserving love and how worth it I really am, despite what my childhood and family trauma made me feel. Thank you for letting us fellow women know how awesome we are. You’re amazing. Have a blessed day! ❤️
Just started this video, and regardless of the styling info to come, I am so grateful for Erin's transparency & courage. I was raised by a narcissistic mom & absent dad & have never felt (will never feel, at this point) worthy of love. Yet hearing from others is such an encouragement. Thank you!
I'm 63 now and just started to love myself when I was older, not when I was young. I'm still plus size but I do not care anymore, I now love to play with clothing and feeling good at it. I wish there was internet when I was younger, people like you who could learn me how to feel beter about myself. You rock and are loveable!!! Thanks for al your tips, Erin!! LOTS OF LOVE TO ALL!!! Pinkie (wife of Jozef)
I love you videos but I agree that you are actually very slim and have a beautiful shape. Perhaps some of your examples would be even better, for those of us who are larger on women, on models who are larger. Thanks so much for your videos. You personal stories and tips help me as a woman. God bless!
Enjoy your videos. But I think using a heavier model is a great idea. We can't tell how it'd be on a thin woman. I'm short and fat. So I can't imagine these on me. But I get what you're saying.
I just about cried when watching the first part of your video! I thought there was something wrong with me when I started to gain weight when I was about 42. I gained the weight right where you showed. Thanks for your story and helping me getting back to loving my body again (or maybe the way I should have in the first place).
I was very heavy around my adolescence and struggled alot buying clothes. It was very depressing in tears all the time in dressing rooms with my mom. My father was body shamed when he was going through puberty he was a little heavy as well. He did it to me as well. I continue to struggle yo-yo with my weight never happy with my shape. Now going through menopause after a histerectomy 🤦struggling with a fupa!!
I am realizing that at the age of 55 and I have no idea how old you are nor my asking that we all have to build our self-worth especially when you hit menopause which has been videoed a lot on RUclips. Please let me know how I can contact you simply maybe just interject some thoughts and thank you for your wisdom I don’t know really how to build a RUclips channel and from the generation that probably didn’t do this initially but I certainly am on the social networks all the time thank you Erin
I am with you. My dad was not around and I find that when guys started getting what I think is clingy I get claustrophobic. Love means distance and sparse meaningful contact. It is what my dad gave. It is all I deserve. Sad. I know.
Completely agree with all uou and she said. It's a powerful mechanism to hear someone else say it - you do fully realize that there is so much similar pain 'out there' - a great motivator to be more tolerant and compassionate to those around us and to strangers.
This was the first video from any fashion RUclipsr I ever saw that acknowledges that there are different kinds of tummies and that that makes a difference. Thanks for that! Perhaps you could do a video like the one you did with your friend but with someone who actually has a tummy. I didn't think this gorgeous lady had anything to hide.
I am plus sized and have used your tips to make me look better...thank you! The front tuck, not wearing loud prints, etc all helped me look my best, and I would not have known what to do if not for your videos. Now I am excited to shop my own closet! Btw I am 62.
That therapy has certainly paid off. I just loved watching you share part of your story with grace & eloquence. I particularly enjoyed seeing you be able to allow a few tears without the urge to hide or apologize or drawing attention to it either. To just let tears/sadness be there without apology or self-comment is powerful. You really own it, comfortable with your emotions, it's lovely to see.
I needed this so much. I hit 50 last Sept. and have always been very small but 50 has been an eye opener that weight gain is REAL. Please continue this series. Your great and I appreciate the time you put into these videos. Take care
Alright, I just paused the video right before you start your actual styling tips... I'm 27 and I'm religiously watching you for the last 2 years, Erin you are so professional in this channel, omg! The journalist experience you have definitely shows and I think you have created a very good team 😊 you are always getting better in my opinion, but I wanted to tell you that you approach style with both a perfect professional way (the outfit examples are great!) but you also seem so real, you touch us with a very emotional way 💕 you show us your thoughts, fears.. when you are in some cases tearing up it really touches me! I wish you the best, please continue being here for us and I hope I'll look and dress like you in my 40s. Ps: congrats for losing those pounds, I'm really happy for you! You re so strong and stubborn (in a good way). Greetings from Greece
I haven't even gotten to the tops - paused to say your SHARING that it's about more than tops - the impact of your own past - THAT'S GOOD STUFF. I am sure some women will view this and pause, and wonder about their own negative feelings toward themselves... And you created a bit of possible freedom from bad feelings... While helping us to look better thus feel better. 🥰
@@BusbeeStyle I had a similar father and know how that hurt really sticks. Thank you for being so open. You have obviously done some great work on yourself. Hugs from Canada.
Dear Erin, you are such a brave woman. I wish I have the guts to share privacy as you have done. After those first ten minutes of your video I have to tell you that you are an example for many women. Much LOVE to you from us.💖
I am hearing you and as a 68 year old , I have given up trying to lose weight and I enjoy life. I have dieted all my life and now I just eat when I am hungry . I try to just eat cooked veggies instead of meat all the time and that helps. I am going to try to excessive ,but it is hard at my age. .
🙋🏼♀️ I’m w/ya! I’ve gained SO MUCH weight over the last 2 years w/all the hormonal, menopausal crap! I’ve always had a big mouth and ass 😂 but I’ve never had this gut issue I have now. I’m so disgusted w/myself …… I just don’t have the energy, confidence (which I always had both) now. I want to look and feel better but always end up depressed and crying! YES THE STRUGGLE IS WAY REAL …… I’m 54 as well!
Wow, wow, wow! This resonates with me so much, as I’m laying in bed watching this, not wanting to get up. Whew, the tears are falling. Been through therapy also. Not a good childhood and then abused 17 years by my ex-husband, who used to call me names like, “Cow,” etc. I’ve always had low self-esteem. I needed this video today, thank you!❤️❤️❤️
Alisa first off you are BEAUTIFUL! I relate to the bad childhood, one day my friend said to me YOU are that little girl that was hurt ( I was feeling angry & resentful ) She said you are still hurting her by not taking care of her TODAY 😔. ..you deserve to be loved to feel safe and nurtured 🙏 and sometimes it starts with doing all those things for yourself
Thank you for sharing your personal issues . I too suffer as I was abused verbally by a parent as a child and into adulthood. Unfortunately ppl don’t understand that we all suffer from our childhood issues severely . It’s not easy , May God help us all get through the pain
I became invisible, even to myself. I knew these tips when I was younger but lost them over time. Thank you so much for your gentle way of helping me find my way back. x
i can feel your love kindness and honesty which is rare in our times.. if you had not survive and learnt those hardships in your life ... you would not be able to be as beautiful as you are and still reach people that are hurting
I hear you guys. But can you imagine being the friends she asks to come be her model on how to hide a tummy? Unless she had someone that openly talks about it or complains about having a tummy, that would be awful.
Went into this looking to hide my future mummy tummy when my baby gets here in October but came out with an emotional connection 😢 I think everyone has their own struggles and every little bit of understanding helps. Thank you for both forms of content.
Erin I’ve been watching you for years and just wanna tell you I love how your channel has evolved and love how much you share of yourself. Thank you for the work you do.
Erin, I just love you! You were in my dream last night advising me on how to make a great coffee & decorate my house! 😂 Then I open up my laptop & there you are speaking right to my heart. I am going to be 50 in a couple of months and am still battling my weight & my mindset about my body daily. Your words are always so thoughtful & inspiring. I think you have created a space here for women to lift each other up and for that I am truly thankful. I also wanted to mention that I found inspiration in a woman named Joan Macdonald. She is a 73 year old body builder. Her story is very inspiring & she has a RUclips channel and an instagram page. ❤️
The more you share, the more I love you! Many abandon kids think ghee if my own father didn’t love me and left, why would anyone else? Knowing it, you can change it! Love it!!!
Greetings from HK. Thank you for your open sharing. It is not just a "fashion" video. This video gives all the audience more than we expected...... very encouraging. Thank you Erin. God bless.
Erin! I wasn’t expecting to cry watching this video! You are so lovely and inspiring! Thank-you or sharing your personal story and your talents with us.
You don't look like someone who has had menopause. Your eyes, your hair.. they are so bright and shiny. And your skin is so gorgeous 😍 PS: I'm new to your channel 😅
Thank you, Ritika! Welcome! Happy to have you here. I have done several videos on the topic and even discussed what I do for my skin and hair. Here is a link to some of them: ruclips.net/video/Ul0lIoWzqJY/видео.html , ruclips.net/video/1K3CSXpFwoE/видео.html , and ruclips.net/video/tysE3qsCmvM/видео.html
You're a beautiful person! It was so sweet of you to not only address the sad comment but the way you spoke about it, with such understanding and relatability made my heart happy and cry a little. The way we feel about parts of our body is not just vanity, it has a lot to do with our experiences.
I heard you talking to many “me” women. Yes, I am almost 68 & somewhat overweight. I also came from a similar background. So there are more of us hanging around. Everything you advised and said was spot on. At my age, I am trying to not look frumpy. I don’t want to look young, but more current. These tips are wonderful. Thank you. I am also starting back to sewing my own clothes and am choosing styles of fabric and patterns (online) so that I can have even more control of my style. I have so many vlogs of excellent sewers that I follow, so if I run into a problem, they are right there to help me. You are so right- if you look frumpy, you will feel frumpy. Alternatively, as you said, if you look better you will feel better. And, accept your bodytype and love yourself! ❤️
Omg this video is right up my alley...so I’ve been thin my whole life, I’m now 43 & have a lot of health issues, I had surgery 4 years ago and literally gained 40 pounds! Most of the weight went right to my belly & I’m so self conscious about it all the time. I can’t wear jeans anymore because I look horrible so I mainly wear leggings with oversized shirts. Your videos give me a lot of great ideas & your such a lovely person. Thanks for the help! I am now a subscriber!😉💕
I have a very similar situation. Had a nice healthy figure up until my mid 30's. Then BAM...I gained 50lbs just like that! I don't even eat a lot of unhealthy foods. No one believed me which sucked, but now I HATE MY BODY. I'm with you girl and wish you the best❤️
I'm in my late teens and Erin's channel is my recent new fav!! I feel like an early bird because so many of her videos are going to be helping me so much when I grow up. I especially love the video on tips on travel backpacking 😋♥️
Great tips! I’m going through menopause now(I’m 53) and never had a tummy problem before and feel so frustrated. I’m petite so it really shows. Thanks for helping. 👍😊
Thank you Erin. You did a great job. I am also 5'4", with a belly. Its soooo hard to be short! You gave me tips to use. I think I am also a rectangle. Now that I am post menopause, it is kind of a struggle. No one would call me "fat", but I remember my younger shape. At age 55, it has changed. I eat well and exercise, but again, I am thankful to be here and in good health. We are our own worse critics. You are also very thoughtful on how you address having a belly. I imagine one wrong word, and you are attacked for body shaming.
Spectacular! That’s what you are Erin , just SPECTACULAR! I can’t express how appreciative I am for not only your next level fashion advice but even more importantly the thoughtful , kind and understanding way you deliver this advice and guidance . Thank you from the bottom of my heart ! 👏👏❤️Pam
Hi Erin, This is the first time I have watched your video - I was just so moved by how honest and genuine you are, it really shines through. Your advice and tips are great too! Thank you 😊
That's why I love your channel dear. You are REAL! You have come a long way and you are successful, beautiful and kind. Hugs to you and keep those great videos coming! Cindy from Virginia!
In 2 minutes you’ve explained more to me about my issues than my GP! I’ve cried to him so many times about the changes of my body and instead of explaining things he pushes medications for EVERYTHING! Thank you so much 🙏🏽.
What an awesome video. Thank you so very much. Three years ago I had surgery on my right shoulder (I'm an ultrasound technologist) & hasn't been the same since then and I can no longer do ultrasounds. I'm 52 and over the last 3 years I have gained around 15 pounds & when I look in the mirror I'm just discussed with the way I look. Your videos are very inspiring & plan to watch your menopause videos for any tips & tricks I can get out of them. Take care💝🌻
I’ve always loved your channel because you are so relatable, but now I love it even more! Thank you for sharing the difficulties in your life & the importance of moving forward in a positive way!😊
Hey Erin hw r u doing? The tips you shared are really helpful. It would be a great help if you could invite someone who has more of belly fat n then incorporate these tips to help her. Thnx🤓 Be Blessed Be Happy Everyone 😘🤗
Erin, really appreciate your transparency and relatability on issues lots of women (including myself) struggle with. I’m glad I stumbled on your channel, I could use some tips on updating my wardrobe.
I just came across this video and want to say thank you for all you shared!! So validating and informative!. I'm 67, felt many of the things you described and also suspected childhood events. Three days ago I reached out to begin working with a therapist so your message is empowering and still timely! Your talk about visceral fat was also timely. Due to breast cancer treatment in 2020 I'm taking an estrogen blocker. I assumed that it contributed to my weight redistribution and now I get why there's this thickness around the back of my waist and why my pants no longer fit the same. Thanks for what you do 🙏
Cathleen, I am wishing you the very best on this journey...It's tough to deal with past traumas, but I can tell you are SO strong just from this comment. I'm so glad that you're finding my videos helpful in this time! Thank you for sharing a little bit of your own story with me! xo
May I say how much I appreciate you! Your candor kindness and care helps more than you will ever know. You help so many of us with so much more than our style challenges! But make no mistake I love your style Erin!💞💕💞💞💕 You truly inspire me!
You're such a beautiful human inside and out, truly Erin. I'm LOVING the look of the puff sleeve but being 6' and broad shouldered I look like a linebacker. The deeper neck is definitely something I can pull off. Thank you SO much for ALL you have done for us for SO many years!!
Erin, thanks for sharing these great styling suggestions. I also appreciate that you address the changes that can occur during perimenopause and menopause. I'm starting to see some of these changes and I'm really trying to be kind to myself! I am also taking action by working with a naturopathic doctor that specializes in hormones + nutrition and working out. Thanks again!!
Thank you for sharing your personal experience. It helps a lot. I’m going through perimenopause now and am about 25 lbs heavier. I’ve definitely had a lot of moments of just wanting to give up.
I exploded with large boobs post menopause. I hate it. I've never had that issue before. The styles that are hood for tummy cover emphasize my boobs. I hate it@ tips please??
I’m recovering from an eating disorder . An I’m “ normal weight “ but it’s been a struggle to get dressed I feel gross ! This simple video really motivated me to feel better about myself!
Oh, Erin...thanks so much for this video! These tips are extremely helpful! Due to extreme stress, menopause, laziness, and chronic pain, I "let myself go". Well, at 55, that's a really bad thing to do medically. I now have a cardio issue and am borderline diabetic (both are genetic). So, I've started planning my daily food intake and exercising daily. Within a week, I've put on clothes that I have not fit in for 2 years. I'm not focusing on my weight number, but rather how I FEEL (energetic and healthy). I spent a bit a $ on cute and comfy athletic wear to amp the fun factor :-) Thanks again and bless you!
Like Erin, I am slim (nearly underweight), I exercise, eat nutritious foods, am still young, etc. But the lower tummy has always been a thing. My mother and sister share the same shape, it's just how we are built. These tips are extremely helpful, and the relatable intro was very important too. Thank you.
Thank you for your vulnerability and for the inspiration you provide. We've all got battles to fight, and it's good to know we're not alone and that we can fight looking good in our clothes no matter our size 💜
What a breath of fresh air you are....you are more beautiful by telling your truth...women have carried these negative views for so long.....and then menopause arrives and at 56 it has been with me for 6 years and it is very tricky! Thank you for helping us....I love your vibe and your content....I have subscribed!
You are SO sweet! Thank you, Marisa! Welcome! I do have a menopause playlist that you may find helpful. I'll link it here for you: ruclips.net/p/PL6xMaBj8Zyg-e1nCUMJP2jAm6V53kmn2q
Erin, you are such an authentic person. You never cease to impress me with how willing you are to share with thousands of strangers your most difficult personal struggles. What you do by sharing with this with us, is make us feel like we are "ok", and you help to unite women from all over the map and socioeconomic places............. you are a treasure on RUclips. I too have been through so many difficult things and I am now 48 and it doesn't seem to get easier until you hear someone like you share information that can be very tough to discuss, physical and emotional................ Thanks for being open and honest, and most of all generous about so many things............... blessings to you.
Love this video as I have a tummy for the first time ever at 46 (other than pregnancy and postpartum). Erin, I love the top at 6:18 but couldn’t find it linked. Is it available? It’s right up my alley.
Yes! So true. Makeup gives me confidence! Fashion is just a plus! Love this video. We all have a story and cannot let things get to us and drag us down. We deserve better! LOVED this video ! Yesterday I wore a long sleeve button up with my boyfriend jeans and red pumps. 💋🤍💙
Erin, I'm not even to the clothes yet, but what you have to say has already put tears in my eyes! I've really loved your videos (you're one of my top 3 favorite RUclipsrs), but sharing this from the heart is a real gift. And I think you make a good point that many of us need to hear--everything looks better when you feel love for the body you're in RIGHT NOW, even if you're working on getting in better shape. This advice goes beyond fashion and even beyond our bodies (and into the realm of true self-acceptance), and is SO nice to hear when I wasn't expecting it. Also, the biology info helps to know! I'm glad you're doing what you're doing!
I just found your blog and channel two days ago and I feel SO lucky and happy! I'm turning 48 next month and already be in menopause, also. I've seen all the changes in my body (in the tummy area) and I can surely say that you. are a wonderful person and a great help for answering all of my possible questions. I love your channel and I wish you all the best! ❤️
You're so beautiful Erin, inside and outside!! I look forward to your Wednesday and Sunday videos! Keep 'em coming and know you are helping me and others get a break from today's sad news. Much love from this Kentucky girl! 👏👏👏💕
Omg your personal story at the beginning hit me hard as it’s my story too, but I’d never thought about it in the way you explained - abandonment = don’t feel you can’t be loved 💡😮
Your sincerity about showing how clothes are a tool for making one feel good rather than the hauls that promote spending without thought for their purpose in improving self-esteem is so admirable. It's such a pity that influencers like you are in the minority.Keep up the outstanding work you're doing.xx
I'm 55 and your advice is spot on. Discovered some tips you presented by trial and error. After watching you and a few other style icons( yes you're an icon!) I never buy anything anymore that does not flatter my body. Thank you .
Erin it's really nice of u to be honest about ur feelings. N best part is u have overcome ur past n moved on. It makes a person stronger mentally. It's really brave of u to speak so much about ur life.
This pink shade is one of the best ever! You look luminous and your eye color look very bright and shiney. Don't discard beause you look amazing on you! Anyways, I love my love handles. lol
Good video, great tips Took me a few years to get on the high waist jean kick and now love it. I have a bousy blouse that is so pretty but it overwhelms me. I was going to donate it, but now I'll try the short jacket idea in the fall. The beautiful print will still be seen, but less combersome Thanks
Thank you SO much for this! This totally resonated with me. I had an extremely tough last five years (I escaped an extremely abusive relationship). I am starting the second half of my life now in my early 50's, and also gained some weight around the middle during a very difficult time. I've never had issues with it until this last year, but am getting healthy again. Thank you for these great style tips! :)
@Busbee Style I have just recently found your videos and I am so glad I did. I am 59 years ol d, but feel and look younger. My best friends are all 10 years younger so they keep me feeling young. Finding your videos has been a god send. I now feel better about my clothing choices, and have made some modifications. I feel more confident in what I wear, because I am now thinking I don't have to give up fashion just because I am going to be 60. You are a breath of fresh air and I thank you.
I first heard that saying in highschool speech class,' If you look good you feel good' has carried me all these years but 64 is hard, having a hard time feeling good lately, I'm so glad I found your videos Erin!
Hi Kathryn, There are a lot of moving parts for me to bring in another model, which I won’t bore you with. In the meantime, try applying the tips to your shopping selects. I promise it will make a difference. I know the tips work because I used to style women of all shapes and sizes. You may also enjoy this video that I filmed with Anna: ruclips.net/video/EYKQZWuln4M/видео.html
People are so ungrateful... “oh why don’t you use a model with a tummy?” “Everything looks good on your perfect body!” . Waa waa waa! Really ? GROW UP AND GET REAL. How old are you guys? She is giving tips, explaining in detail verbally. You guys still don’t get it? Do you need to be spoon fed like a baby or what?
@@tiffanystcyr You sound like a skinny bitch. Most people over 45 are much thicker than Erin, and it's frustrating to see a skinny person model what's supposed to look good on thicker ladies. Have some compassion.
Yes! I’m turning 46 in a few months and have been battling the bulge in my gut for the past 3 years. I finally have a doctor that understands this and put me back on hormones to help with the weight gain and all the other annoying side effects of lower estrogen levels. What a difference after only a month. Hang in there, ladies! Pester your doctors. Peri menopause isn’t for wimps!
Beautiful Erin, you’re such an inspiration to all of us! Your videos are full of positive energy, love, care, and soooo much more, Thank you so much! Blessings to you and your family! ❤️❤️❤️XOXO
That you for the encouraging words. We need them. It’s so true when we have our closet with items that fit and we learn ways to help us feel better ~look better ~ our best, it helps our confidence. When our closet just has pieces it doesn’t have the tools to help us be our best.
I’m 28 and I’m have a ginormous tummy like I’m pregnant lol 😂, I struggle with clothes but I kinda learned to live with it but still trying my best to keep myself healthy , I wear bell sleeves tops & I think I own 2/3 tops & I own 2 Aline skirts ,1 pleated skirt, I wear high rise pants & they highlight my big tummy but I found that wide legged pants can create an illusion & draw the eye down ,also if the top of the pants was pleated in a way it can cover the problem a bit & kinda create wider hips (pear shaped) !!! What I realized now that I don’t have a round hem top or a stripped top !!😮 and that combined with a high rise bottom is such a hero combo !!! Hmmm so my mission is to find one or 4 tops👌🏾😂✨thank you for sharing these tips Erin💜💜💜💜
Hi Erin! I am a new subscriber and love your fashion advice. Bless your heart for sharing your personal story. You touched my heart, as my own daughter (also Erin) shares many similarities with you, appearance, body type, personality, and sadly was also abandoned by her father. Goodbye sadness. On a happier note,, your advice is great, look forward to your videos! Thank you for sharing :)
I was also abandoned by my father and I also feel like I don’t deserve to be loved. I have a difficult time taking care of my own personal needs because I don’t feel worthy of loving my own self. I’m working on myself emotionally and I’m 43 years old it took me this long to figure it out that I needed to take care of myself. Thank you for opening up about your personal life 💖
You hit the nail on the head in the first few minutes.very few have had the so called “Perfect Life” a lot of Instagram is portrayed as a perfect life, perfect looks, perfect figure bla bla bla even when it’s not. We are SO HARD in ourselves, set impossible standards, and don’t see the good and the true beauty in ourselves! Thank you for all you share and your advice. PS - love the looks on your face, and your body language in the “What not to do” side. Always gives me a chuckle
Thank you for this video! I always try helping my mom find things to make her feel confident in her clothes. She avoids shopping for years at a time and I see it on her face that she’s upset when she tries things on. I’m trying to get her to watch this video today and go shopping even to just try these on. I have this problem postpartum so I’m taking notes too! Thank you for being a supportive outlet for so many ❤️
I’m 25 and I have had tummy all my life (while being slim) even when I’m really skinny. High rise jeans/skirts are a big help. And having a little tummy is not the end pf the word
Me too! I’m slim, I’m not wide, but am flabby in certain places. Unfortunately, not much can be done re: my tummy. I take Subxone as treatment for an Oxy addiction I developed in college. I haven’t gone to the bathroom for about 2 weeks- and that’s actually good. I can go a month w/o going. Thank you for these great tips! I see you wearing jeans- it’s IMPOSSIBLE to wear nothing but a tank top and shorts where I live. Is there any way you can please do a video for the same topic, but for those who live in the absolutely oppressive heat in Miami (and other places that it’s 95 degrees and almost 100% humidity)? I, for one, would greatly appreciate it! *Confession* - I shed a big fat tear at the beginning of the video re: how brave you are to share about your circumstances on your father. You are loved! But I’m pleased to see that it seems you have dealt with it. Love & Light from Miami✨✌🏼 Stay safe everyone🌎
is this the debbie gibson? im sorry i f you are not the song writer singing star of 80s? if u are I am your biggest fan!!!!!! born in 68......loved you!!!
I have been enjoying your videos for about a year or a year and a half. I've learned so much from you! But today I just heard your personal story. Thank you for being vulnerable and sharing with us. You always look so perfect that I wouldn't have known you've been through something like most of us. I pray you have a beautiful day and keep up with your healing journey. Thank you again for all you do for women through your channel!!! Blessings!!!
Thank you so much Erin. I just subscribed and am finding so many of your videos helpful. I am almost 61 and have been in menopause for 10 years. I am not able to take HRT because I had a "heart event" several years back and my doctors do not think it is safe for me. Just hearing the options of how to look better in my clothes is very inspiring and I appreciate your caring attitude to us menopausal women. Thank you.
Irene Skulmoski Please understand how you sound. Erin is wonderful and she is her own person with no tummy... yet tries to help others. She is smart and so kind. Please be respectful.
Irene Skulmoski My thoughts exactly. I think it can prove to be a mistake to concentrate on just one problem area as the “rules” could show any other real or perceived areas you worry about. One thing most women do need to avoid is horizontal stripes - even a perfect figure isn’t flattered by them. Something that surprised me, although the lovely print shirt flattered you, was that you were wearing something so loose. You could wear anything you liked so I wonder why you would want to wear it when many women feel they have to hide up their figures in that way. Just a thought.
@@Oceangirl1234 I think you are oversensitive and over protecting person and making up problems. Having a model with a big tummy would be a good idea, because this lovely lady has a really good body and she looks good in whatever she wears.
Wow...I accidentally found you while looking for videos to crochet a nice cardigan. You are such a thoughtful and helpful sweetheart. I've watched and saved a few videos already and am so grateful for your tips. Helps me to choose the right cardigan for my shape. You are a true blessing. Much love and prayers💞🌹💞
I'm sure you don't need to hear this but you are so beautiful it seems like everything looks great on you! I'm 52 yrs old and I'm not one to feel insecure (anymore) but I've lost the desire to even dress cute since this pandemic, and I feel like the interest in looking good is not going to return :(
Thank you, Missy. I felt that way at the beginning of the pandemic, but once I started putting together outfits again (even when not going anywhere), I really felt better. xo
You look gorgeous in that beautiful pink top. I have always been an hourglass with a waist . Something happened and my waist is disappearing. I want to lose those fifteen pounds like you did, but for now will use all your great tips to hide my tummy. Thank you for being so real Erin. Everyone has something that hurts from the past, but a lot of people will not share it. You are the best. 💕💕💕
Just stumbled on this amazing video! I've always been a slim lady but now 52 going through the menopause. My tummy is awful and have been struggling to find clothes to make myself look better. You have given me some great tips! Thank you so much. 🙂
You are so welcome, Carla! This is why I decided to share such a personal story. I know I'm not alone. So glad this was helpful. xo
Loved your video, thanks
It would be a lot more realistic if you actually used a model who had a tummy or pooch. Anything looks good on someone whose slim...
I was thinking the same thing.
I love you videos but I agree that you are actually very slim and have a beautiful shape. Perhaps some of your examples would be even better, for those of us who are larger on women, on models who are larger.
Thanks so much for your videos. You personal stories and tips help me as a woman. God bless!
Plus someone that has a bigger/ large bust…
And what if you have gigantic breasts with menopause? The last thing you need is a top that is fitting just under your bust.
Enjoy your videos. But I think using a heavier model is a great idea. We can't tell how it'd be on a thin woman. I'm short and fat. So I can't imagine these on me. But I get what you're saying.
I've only watched up to 1:57, and I just want to thank you for your honesty. I think so many of us can relate, and it helps me feel a bit less alone.
Yes!!!
I wish u showed longer tops.....my weight is in my lower tummy! I spend too much time thinking about it.
I just about cried when watching the first part of your video! I thought there was something wrong with me when I started to gain weight when I was about 42. I gained the weight right where you showed. Thanks for your story and helping me getting back to loving my body again (or maybe the way I should have in the first place).
You are so welcome, Christine! You are certainly not alone! xo
I'm 44 and here now. ☹️
The first 2.5 minutes fo your video were the most valuable to me. Even when you know it, sometimes you need to hear it.
Thank you, That's so sweet. xo
I really needed to hear this ❤️
Thank you
I am with you.
You're so welcome, Ragana! xo
Busbee Style Kelly was a different size & body shape which is super helpful. Erin, is it possible to have models occasionally?
@@BusbeeStyle what size are you in the Amanda Uprichard top? I’m trying to figure out what size to buy online!
I'm 44 and cant believe all the body changes. It is so hard! I feel so bad about myself & I'm so glad to hear your message. I needed you right now😘
I needed her right now too❤️
Same ☹️
I am plus sized and have used your tips to make me look better...thank you! The front tuck, not wearing loud prints, etc all helped me look my best, and I would not have known what to do if not for your videos. Now I am excited to shop my own closet! Btw I am 62.
That's amazing, Kat! Thank you so much for sharing! xo
Thank you, for your honesty it helps heal others. Like me,,,🌹💕 68 and a half years of age.🌹
You are so sweet Mary! xo
I needed this so much. I hit 50 last Sept. and have always been very small but 50 has been an eye opener that weight gain is REAL. Please continue this series. Your great and I appreciate the time you put into these videos. Take care
I'm so glad this was helpful, Tammy! Thank you! xo
Thank you so much, Mary! I appreciate you sharing this with me! xo
You are so sweet...thank you! xo
Much LOVE to you from us.💖
You are SO sweet, Estela! Thank you! xo
Thank you so much!! This belly fat is frustrating! I'm 54 and going through menopause. The struggle is real
I am hearing you and as a 68 year old , I have given up trying to lose weight and I enjoy life. I have dieted all my life and now I just eat when I am hungry . I try to just eat cooked veggies instead of meat all the time and that helps. I am going to try to excessive ,but it is hard at my age. .
I meant exercise not excessive
I needed this video today, thank you!❤️❤️❤️
💖💗💓
Alisa first off you are BEAUTIFUL! I relate to the bad childhood, one day my friend said to me YOU are that little girl that was hurt ( I was feeling angry & resentful ) She said you are still hurting her by not taking care of her TODAY 😔. ..you deserve to be loved to feel safe and nurtured 🙏 and sometimes it starts with doing all those things for yourself
I'm so sorry that you have been through all of this. I can relate in so many ways! xo
Jettsetgirl Thank you so much for your kind words, I really appreciate it! You’re right, I need to take care of that girl/woman right now.💗💗💗
Busbee Style Thank you so much, and thank you for sharing all of your wonderful videos, they really brighten my day!💕
My waist was one of my best features until menopause hit. I was like "what happened?!" Just not fair. These tips are priceless. Thank you!
I'm so glad this was helpful! xo
Curl Girl , the same thing happened to me. It sucks, but I know it could be worse...
I was always the thin one... until the last year. I don't know this body now. Not liking 60 too much - except mentally, I'm in the best place.
Thank you for sharing your personal issues . I too suffer as I was abused verbally by a parent as a child and into adulthood. Unfortunately ppl don’t understand that we all suffer from our childhood issues severely . It’s not easy , May God help us all get through the pain
I'm so sorry to hear that, but you are right...it affects us long after that abuse stops. Thank you for sharing! xo
I’m with you dear
I became invisible, even to myself. I knew these tips when I was younger but lost them over time. Thank you so much for your gentle way of helping me find my way back. x
You're so welcome, June! Glad it was helpful! xo
i can feel your love kindness and honesty which is rare in our times..
if you had not survive and learnt those hardships in your life ...
you would not be able to be as beautiful as you are and still reach people that are hurting
That is so sweet of you to say! ~Team Busbee
Wish you could have used a model that had a pooch or any kind of belly. A flat stomach will look flat in any style. I USE to have one. 🤪🤣😬😭
You still have pretty eyes and a little food baby is adorable. : )
Sue Jones exactly
Yeah... She is perfect.
I hear you guys. But can you imagine being the friends she asks to come be her model on how to hide a tummy? Unless she had someone that openly talks about it or complains about having a tummy, that would be awful.
Totally agree! ..." Oh, here's how I hide my size 6 discomfort" but i love her.
Thank you for being brave and vulnerable. Your sharing will allow others to thrive
Thank you so much! xo
I’m 70 but feel 20. I stripped my wardrobe of frumpy, unflattering clothes based on your recommendations. There’s not much left!
Bonita Jordan you go girl! 💕
Love this.
Good for you👍
@@MizLaFrance Go for it, Girl!
Yup! If it makes me feel bad in any way, it’s gone. I’d rather wear the same things I love than 1 thing that brings me down.
Went into this looking to hide my future mummy tummy when my baby gets here in October but came out with an emotional connection 😢 I think everyone has their own struggles and every little bit of understanding helps. Thank you for both forms of content.
Hope you and your baby are doing okay! 💕
Erin I’ve been watching you for years and just wanna tell you I love how your channel has evolved and love how much you share of yourself. Thank you for the work you do.
Thank you so much, Amber! That means so much to me! xo
Love it!!!
Thank you! So true! xo
Greetings from HK. Thank you for your open sharing. It is not just a "fashion" video. This video gives all the audience more than we expected...... very encouraging. Thank you Erin. God bless.
Thank you so much, Joanne! That is so sweet of you! xo
Thanks so much for sharing!!! It really resonated in the best way possible!!
Love your transparency about your Dad and how you feel about yourself. Grabbed my attention even before learning to hide my tummy!
Thank you, Valerie! xo
Thankyou for talking about about the power of feeling that we DESERVE TO LOOK GOOD...there is such truth in that..💕such a struggle for many Erin
You're so welcome, Sonya! xo
Erin! I wasn’t expecting to cry watching this video! You are so lovely and inspiring! Thank-you or sharing your personal story and your talents with us.
You are so sweet, Kara! Thank you! xo
You don't look like someone who has had menopause. Your eyes, your hair.. they are so bright and shiny. And your skin is so gorgeous 😍
PS: I'm new to your channel 😅
Thank you, Ritika! Welcome! Happy to have you here. I have done several videos on the topic and even discussed what I do for my skin and hair. @@BusbeeStyle thank you ❤️
You're a beautiful person! It was so sweet of you to not only address the sad comment but the way you spoke about it, with such understanding and relatability made my heart happy and cry a little. The way we feel about parts of our body is not just vanity, it has a lot to do with our experiences.
Thank you so much! Our experiences shape so much about who we are and how we look at ourselves and the world. xo
Ditto, almost exactly
I have a very similar situation. Had a nice healthy figure up until my mid 30's. Then BAM...I gained 50lbs just like that! I don't even eat a lot of unhealthy foods. No one believed me which sucked, but now I HATE MY BODY. I'm with you girl and wish you the best❤️
I'm in my late teens and Erin's channel is my recent new fav!! I feel like an early bird because so many of her videos are going to be helping me so much when I grow up. I especially love the video on tips on travel backpacking 😋♥️
I love that! I'm so glad that even at your age you are able to use my tips. xo
Your outlook is so uplifting. Thank you for being vulnerable in sharing a bit of your journey to wholeness.
You are so welcome, Janice! Thank you! xo
Great tips! I’m going through menopause now(I’m 53) and never had a tummy problem before and feel so frustrated. I’m petite so it really shows. Thanks for helping. 👍😊
I can relate, Cherie! I'm so glad that this was helpful! xo
👏👏❤️Pam
Wow, thank you, Pamela! That's so sweet! xo
Thank you so much, Cindy! xo
In 2 minutes you’ve explained more to me about my issues than my GP! I’ve cried to him so many times about the changes of my body and instead of explaining things he pushes medications for EVERYTHING! Thank you so much 🙏🏽.
I’m so glad this was so helpful for you, Rachel! xo
Take care💝🌻
Thank you! I'm so glad that you found this helpful, Patsy! Just take it one step at a time! xo
I’ve always loved your channel because you are so relatable, but now I love it even more! Thank you for sharing the difficulties in your life & the importance of moving forward in a positive way!😊
Thank you so much! xo
Thankyou for sharing your style tips and personal struggles.🥰
Hey Erin hw r u doing?
The tips you shared are really helpful. It would be a great help if you could invite someone who has more of belly fat n then incorporate these tips to help her. Thnx🤓

Erin...thank you for sharing your journey with us. You are helping countless women by opening up about your struggles . hugs
You are so welcome, Laura! I'm just glad it is helpful! xo
You're so welcome, Heather! xo
I saw Kelly video I liked it ,that’s my body with big boned boobsbutandbelly any dressing hints are always enjoyed !
Starting is the hardest part, Lorraine. I love that you are focussed on how you feel and not necessarily the number. Such a good mindset. xo
Lorraine - good for you; keep going ...you can do it and you’re worth every minute & penny you invest in yourself!
Way to go!!! I'm right there with you!
Well you don't look that bad for your age Lorraine your husband is a lucky man 😉
you just explained "me" to a "t" ..Thank You for sharing , I don't feel so alone now.
Thank you so much, Paulina! xo
Erin, you are so genuine, caring, and talented...I can’t even!
You are so sweet...thank you! xo
Agreed. You can’t fake it.
Thank you, Ann! xo
Thank you, Rene! I look forward to reading all the comments on Wednesdays and Sundays! xo
Omg your personal story at the beginning hit me hard as it’s my story too, but I’d never thought about it in the way you explained - abandonment = don’t feel you can’t be loved 💡😮
I'm sorry that you can relate. It has taken me a long time for me to get to this place, but I thought it was important to share. xo
Thank you .

You're so welcome, Catherine! If you love it, try it with a jacket before getting rid of it! xo
So glad this was helpful, and so happy that you are in a better place now. xo
You are so welcome, Cecelia! I really believe that if you look good...you feel good! xo
I first heard that saying in highschool speech class,' If you look good you feel good' has carried me all these years but 64 is hard, having a hard time feeling good lately, I'm so glad I found your videos Erin!
Love that! Glad this was helpful, Sherri! ~Team Busbee
I wish you used a model that does have tummy issues, it’s hard to imagine on your perfect body 🤨
She doesn't need a model .. its obvious by the styles that she was showing with before and after pictures...its not rocket science.
@@tiffanystcyr It has nothing to do with being ungrateful. The suggestions/tips have to truly work on a person with a larger tummy.
Hi, what brand is the white faux wrap top? Cant find a link to it. Thanks
I'm so glad this was helpful. It sounds like you are already doing a lot right! xo
@@BusbeeStyle thank you 💙💙💙

Thank you so much, Christie! I'm so glad that you found my channel. Wishing you and your daughter all of the best...You deserve it! xo
Thank you for opening up about your personal life 💖
Rosie Petals 🤗🤗🤗💕
Caroline Awaritefe Thank You 🤗🤗🤗
You hit the nail on the head in the first few minutes.very few have had the so called “Perfect Life” a lot of Instagram is portrayed as a perfect life, perfect looks, perfect figure bla bla bla even when it’s not.
We are SO HARD in ourselves, set impossible standards, and don’t see the good and the true beauty in ourselves!
Thank you for all you share and your advice.
PS - love the looks on your face, and your body language in the
“What not to do” side.
I hope these tips were helpful! xo
*Confession* -
I shed a big fat tear at the beginning of the video re: how brave you are to share about your circumstances on your father.
You are loved!
But I’m pleased to see that it seems you have dealt with it.
Love & Light from Miami✨✌🏼
Stay safe everyone🌎
Wow I am thin with a belly and been going through menopause, love this video
I just subbed based solely on the first 4 minutes of honest speak.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Just remember that everyone who writes a comment loves you! You help so many of us feel better about ourselves and look better. Thank you.
You are so sweet, Debbie...Thank you! xo
Love these jeans!

You are SO sweet, Carmen! Thank you for your kind words! xo
Thank you.
Welcome! I'm SO glad you're enjoying my videos, Wendy! Thanks for your comment. xo
EMDR therapy has been so incredibly helpful. Thank you for sharing part of your story 💜
That's so great to hear! Thank you for sharing! xo
Yes! It helped me immensely.
I started EMDR last year. It has been so helpful.
I just started EMDR a couple of months ago, it’s been amazing.
Thank you for this video! I'm heading straight to my closet to get rid of several boxy blouses, haha!
You're so welcome, Elizabeth! I'm so glad it was helpful! xo
Why don’t you try using a model who actually has a big tummy
Irene Skulmoski Please understand how you sound. Erin is wonderful and she is her own person with no tummy... yet tries to help others. She is smart and so kind. Please be respectful.
Irene Skulmoski
My thoughts exactly.
You are so welcome, Linda! I'm so glad you found my channel and I hope you find my videos helpful! xo
Thanks for sharing your own struggle! I really appreciate all of the work and time that you've put in your videos‼💕
You are so welcome! Glad you found this helpful, Kimberly! xo
Sending love and feel-deserving hugs to you and your viewers. 💗💗💗
Thank you so much! xo
I felt that way at the beginning of the pandemic, but once I started putting together outfits again (even when not going anywhere), I really felt better. xo
I cried when you said that you feel you don't deserved to be loved. Yes you do❤️
You look gorgeous in that beautiful pink top.
I’m so glad this was helpful, Jo!! xo
