Nice watching this. This reminded me of when I Played for my first 15 Rugby team at Aquinas College (Perth, WA). But yeah Rugby in Queensland and NSW is at different level eh.
When I was at school, all the prefects, yes all, had parents who were the largest financial contributors to the school. I bet if we looked under the hood here we would find the same trend. EverySingleTime.
Its a compulsory subject throughout primary and high school but its not compulsory to do anything extra outside of that class like these boys are doing.
Hi Michael, this is possibly the most asked question we get as producers of this series. The answer is frustratingly simple, we've asked and none have said yes or approved. As you can imagine with a series like this it requires a number of permissions and approvals and all it takes is one NO for the possibility to end. South Africa is the most desired destination for us too but until one of their schools approve, then we will continue to follow Aus and NZ schools - who are excellent to work with and are keen on the concept. It's also a cost issue - filming locally (for us) doesn't cost as much. Thanks for supporting the show!!
Nudgee and BBC. LOL. I played when we could still use our feet. No RUclips just tags. That's what wrong with Rugby. Too soft. And we flogged BBC and beat Nudgee.
Ya, I’m sorry to say but oz school boy rugby is soft these days. Especially in NSW. I played back in the 90s and up until 2010s, it was still strong but after… all a bunch of weak sauce. Just imo
@@stuarth43 fast paced big contact and the way the rules and games have changed it’s not just repetition anymore. And the stats show in Australia league is a far better sport
its definitely not big. Its played by a few private schools and the programs after high school are terrible so a bunch of players transition to nrl which has far better pathway programs.
@@finalfrontier1124 The best NRL and Union players all play in GPS schools. They may have been leage supporters to begin with, but through scholarships ect all the best players end up going to private schools.
That's what schoolboy rugby is all about, playing with your mates and making your school proud
Why the close-up face shots? Everything is great besides that. .
Yeah, its super weird
And then they say BBC with a straight face
Yeah you’re probably about right. Back it off. All is in check, y’all got good skin. Now let us see some facial expressions and not just skin
It’s an interview, get over yourself.
Bit to close up. Should take on the constructive criticism. Rest of the video is a ripper

Just curious as a saffa. Is sport compulsory at school in Aus ?
No it’s not, though it’s certainly encouraged.
Its a compulsory subject throughout primary and high school but its not compulsory to do anything extra outside of that class like these boys are doing.
At most private schools like these, it is.
Most private schools have compulsory sport. If not then a lot of kids play for their local teams
