The South African series had better be the best one yet or else all those comments are going to look ridiculous - this one was unbelievable, this and Nudgee's series were really so so good
The level of filming and storytelling this series has achieved is second to none. Huge congrats to everyone at RugbyPass for delivering such an incredible series. I hope they do one for an English schoolboy team. Millfield or Sedbergh maybe would be good
Although it’s sad to see them not take the title of first, I still understand the history they have made and the impact of this season for them positively creating such a humbling experience for us! It’s sad that the year 12’s have to go :(
I've always been a strong league fan but seeing this series, and the intensity that a SCHOOLBOYS team brings is absolutely stunning. This was such a well done series and it's shown aspects not only associated with rugby.
the feeling of winning in one of the hardest matchups is the best feeling you could feel in rugby, once my team lost 9 times in a row to one of the top tier team in our state and we were at the point where it was our no1 priority to beat them the next we played against them we beat them
Hopefully next will be a U.K school. Absolutely loved this and the previous series. A great insight into the next generation of players of the game we all love. And can see Shane Drahm coaching a big club in the future.
Wonderful series. I think it great to see how the coaches handled the boys and got them to believe In themselves. They were all winners of life. These coaches should be doing more in our junior rugby program. Well when we get back to playing again at least. Well done everyone what a great production.
My Saturday morning are not going to be the same anymore! Enjoyed watching this series, especially now that we cant even go out to play rugby... This makes me hungry for my own season to start all over again and get on that field with the team...
I know most of these schools being followed are fancy private schools, but I can't help but feel like growing up there would have been so much healthier than the shit I had in London/Essex. The culture of community and belonging for boys from all different ethnic backgrounds seems great. Not to mention the discipline and life lessons they learn. Australia definitely ain't perfect but I picked up similar vibes on my first visit to the country last year too
They're really mostly middle class, the difference between private and public (state) schools in Australia is pretty vast and most parents opt for private. Its not too exclusive.
@@HM-mw7cg they are pretty exorbitant but the alternative (state school) is hard to accept. the university acceptance works on a ranking system. The better the school, the easier it is to then get into uni. Plus these schools have incredible facilities. It's viewed as an investment rather than an expense.
Having watched schoolboy rugby for the last 3 years, the gap between southern hemisphere rugby and UKrugby is already apparent even at school boy level. All the teamsfrom SA ,NZ and Australia.are bigger fitter, quicker and more skilfull than anything up here and that at the ages of 16 to 18. god help us up north in 2025.
The Queensland comp should be kicking off on July the 18th. Doubletake Productions, here on youtube, have been fantastic at live-streaming the 1st XV games. BBC will be hoping to go one better.
Hi Joel, we did but they were not interested. Sometimes it works like that - some schools think the timing may not be ideal and we have to respect that (reluctantly..) Thanks for the suggestion though.
Anyone see the mistake the coaches made which lead to then losing the Premiership final game? They took away Instinct from the individual player. trying to run a try in from every opportunity! Threatening to take them off if they try something like a chip? and also No plan B on the kicking! Not to forget finally a Drop Goal is 3 points and if you miss? they kick the ball back to you. England beat Australia in a World Cup final with one. and still the Aussie coaches have not learned!!! Will they ever??
24:00 What you have all been asking us for!

Clongowes Wood College in Ireland is another underdog all boys boarding school. Could be worth considering for a future season.
Surely an English school like sedbergh has to be up there soon

I honestly can't wait. Hope you do SA next or even England
This should have been a Netflix series.

What were the yellow socks for
Breast cancer awareness I think. Each year there's always support at games for it.
The yellow socks were to raise awareness for 'R U OK?' Day. www.ruok.org.au/join-r-u-ok-day

Yes Scott - we have approached them but they were not interested. No luck with the Irish schools yet - never mind. We'll try again in a year or so.
