I live in the North West of England an area called saddleworth. Yesterday I had a white peacock in my garden. It had flown here from a local pub where it lives in their beer garden. It was quite a shock when I was pegging my washing out haha.
My 82 yr old mother still hangs her clothes out and no one else can do it every that goes down the rd she says checks out how she puts them on the line haha

Jason stated that even if Snow White hatched an egg, the peacock would fly out. He said even if they tried to put another peacock in with her it wouldn't stay in with her. It would fly out. I trust Jason and Brooke 100% to do what is best for Snow White.
Had that same ranging hormones with my bull and kitty corner section my neighbours bull…we ended by making double corners but also made a deal to check with each other and changed section rotation lay out of herds …never saw such a mess with uprootedposts and wire….

Those boy goats. Boys will be boys. Will the Emus still be able to get into the pond to cool off and to swim? Wait ‘til you see Jessie and Honey on the back side of the pond. I would absolutely leave the little chickens at the barn. They do a great job, they do not roost on top of stuff and leave little packages all over stuff. They are happy, happy. And it seems they get along with Snow White, the donkeys and goats. Perfect pasture mates.

🐞 We grew up in SW Fla and my parents always taught us if we left our shoes outside, to never put our feet in them without checking for Black Widow Spiders!!! Many years later, I had a car that wasn't running parked beside my home, and my teenage son wanted to fiddle with the engine, and we heard him yell..we all went out and looked under the hood and there had to have been 100 Black Widow Spiders all over the engine!!!😬😥🤗

I have some of their bunching onions that are on seed tape, I just planted some early spring in a grow bag, and they didn’t do very well. So hopefully what I have left, will do good in my Spring garden next year. I’m planting some things in my Greenstalk this Fall. And of course I’ll have turnip greens and mustard greens in the big garden this Fall.

We always say that rocks float. Every year you pick up rocks that weren't there last year. Also, pebbles become stones and stones become rocks overnight
I had a weaning buck kept getting out into my driveway and I couldn't figure it out. After the third trip around the fence and another adjustment to the gate opening I finally caught him in the act. He was going thru the 18 inch x 20ft long culvert under driveway. It now has a cover.
I have heard that if you mix carrot seeds or any tiny seeds with some fine sand that it thins the seed out. Then when you plant the seed sand mix it naturally spaces out the seeds for germination.

Farming is definitely hard work that doesn't make exceptions for holidays sick days or vacations. In spite of that is can be so rewarding and a true Labor of Love. Unless you plan ahead you can forfeit a growing season. Obviously Jason is well-versed in planning ahead. It's exciting to observe Jason's process. He and Brooke are an amazing team and wonderful role models. I wish we could clone them, the world be a much better place if we could expose everyone to the Smith Family's mindset, kindness, integrity, compassion, community support, love of animals, family values, etc.

Jason, I saw somewhere Dollar General has seeds on sale for 7 cents a pack. I’m going tomorrow and checking it out.
