Another tip for webtoon creators: Webtoons usually upload 1 chapter every week, and it's really stressing to draw with a 1 week time limit, just so your readers won't forget that your webtoon exists. If you are a canvas creator, you should make a novel first. (or a storyboard, I recommend google docs, as it is free and easy.) I recommend watching videos about book creators, who give tips to make your writing good. After making a novel, you can take a really long break! (We all have limits after all.) And then you can start drawing your webtoon, but don't upload it already. I recommend drawing all the webtoon chapters for season 1, and upload 1 every week, after you finished drawing them all. (It's optional, but I recommend it just so noone can rush you when you are drawing.) Then take a really long break, and start drawing all of the chapters for season 2. (Again, this is optional, and you can do whatever you want, I just think it can help.) But anyway, this video is really amazing, and gives really good tips! I used to think that I should always draw EVERYTHING, including backgrounds, because I wanted to be proud of my work. After watching this video, I realized that I am not gonna make an artwork, I am gonna something that should atleast have 10+ drawings, so I am gonna use these tips and might download clip studio.
Making a novel is a pretty good tip for aspiring comic creators because part of being a webtoon artist is also being a writer. So if your story writing is poor despite your art being nice, people won't really care for your story, which sucks. And I'm glad this video helped you! Clip Studio Paint saves soo much time, especially for comic artists.
wow your comment really makes me reconsider my life choices as a webtoon creator. I've been trying so hard to upload weekly (failed haha ;-;) so this makes me think it might be better to finish up a whole season and then post weekly as I already have all my episodes written. thank you for the tips!
Im working in my upcoming web comic but i struggled really hard to draw the backgrounds and poses. This really help me!! My drawings looks very kekok gila lah. But since i started reading ur webtoon and followed u on insta(n the toturials u shared). My drawings improved a little bit. I tend to render banyak sangat in my short comic. But now i only do simple rendering thanks to your tuts^^ thank you very much
Omg thank you so much for your comment! Malu pulak I tahu orang Malaysia baca webtoon I, but I'm so glad that more artists from our country want to start out 😍 I wish you the best on you comic journey ❤️💞
I use clip studio paint for my webtoon and I've been struggling to make them faster.. but these tips will save my background situation haha thank you for making this video
Hahahahahaha I am really procrastinating on this video, you’re know your subscribers very well! I need to draw my thumbnails for the next episode, but I’m so tired of this endless work! So thank you for entertaining me while I’m resting 🌸🌸🌸😆💕
Hello, I have some questions if you don't mind me for asking: •Paneling -Like when would you use which panel type and which size for the panel. -How you place your panels for the reading flow - How do you space panel to panel and why? -When do you use which perspective for a scene? Lettering - Do you have tips where I should place the speech bubbles? -How do you set the font size? -How do you decide the spaces between letters/senteces?
You forgot to mention how to color backgrounds at the end of the vid 😭😭😭💔 or I just didn't focus because it's really tiring to color 3d models that turned into lines by my own
I usually colour it manually, I think I showed it briefly, when I extract the lines. That's why I just use SketchUp backgrounds, it's so much faster that way.
Hi ya! I have a question~ How do I make my set up to be multiple page? I noticed you have all your pages together on the side, yet separated when it comes to drawing each page out. I feel this could save me so much time ;-;
Sadly it’s only for EX users but there is a workaround for pro users! ruclips.net/video/YoGShcL6eek/видео.htmlsi=oNme01vDGC1dZ6Ik (in case the link doesn’t work search for the video named “How to make backgrounds from 3D models in EX/PRO part 1” it’s in clip studio’s youtube channel. The artists shows how to get it done with the artistic filter.
Not a CSP user nor a webtoon creator (though I'd like to draw my own comic someday in the future), but this is a very underrated channel. Love the cozy vibes, artstyle, and how you delivered your advices. One question: I noticed that in historical fiction manhwas, the characters are always wearing super detailed clothes and accessories (example: patterned fabric and jewelleries). Is this achieved by adding pre-made textures and items to them? 🤔
Thank you for your kind words ❤️ And yeah, when it comes to historical fantasy manhwas, majority of creators would use premade brushes, textures and patterns to detail the clothes. Saves a lot of time 👌
@@obliviousquill I see! I think it'll be really nice if you could make a video about this some time in the future, since most webtoon tutorial don't touch on how to draw clothes for historical fantasy manhwas (or how to find the backgrounds for them, for that matter). Again, this is just a suggestion for some content ideas! 😁 Don't feel obligated to take it at all haha. I hope to see your channel thrives - You deserve alot more attention!
i have a problem, could you help me out? how do i draw the flowers that randomly pop out of historical webtoons? like here when you showed a blackish rose type flower thing, i'm confused on how you do that.
This video is a bit old but I need advice on soemthing. I've started working on my webcomic and both tapas and webtoon have a maximun of page width, right? the issue is that, this page width forces me to draw with the pen at 2px or 1.5px, which is okay in general, but the pen I use looks really pixalated and it makes the art look really unclean...what pen do you use? or anyone by that matter...or how do you draw so your lineart won't look messy due to the pen quality?
I recommend using a larger canvas to draw your webtoon, like 1600 x 20,000 like I do. Although there's a max page width, when you upload your page into tapas and webtoon, it will automatically resize your page to the max width so you don't have to worry about that. The lineart pen I use most is the G-pen but the issue here is the canvas size that's causing the pixelation, not the brush you use.
From what I've seen on other webtoon artist's vids, you can use acond 3d models on both iPad and desktop. I've never used the free version of sketchup, maybe try uninstalling it and then install it again?
Where is thelink acond and pixel plus?? How is it??
Please reply, thank you.

Hi, I have tried signing up to pixel plus however it doesnt let me go through the process without the referral code. May I ask you how to get this? 😭
I haven't had any issue with thhis. I just signed up using my google account. There's no mention of referral code
Anyone has a tip, I would like to learn digital coloring and I'm confused between CSP and Krita (because krita is free lol) so anyone tried both?
i have a problem, could you help me out? how do i draw the flowers that randomly pop out of historical webtoons? like here when you showed a blackish rose type flower thing, i'm confused on how you do that.
I didn't draw them, the flower brushes I use are custom brushes that I downloaded from the CSP asset store
How can you able to call me out when we meet only just 3 second

If i purchase the acon3d assets do i need to have sketchup plan on desktop but not on ipad? My ipad sketchup free plan keep on crashing. Idk why. Help

Do it’s working for iPad?
As long as you have csp on ipad, you can use it
