My ex mother-in-law treated me like a dog when I was pregnant with my eldest. I wasn't allowed to have any rest, I was starved by her daughter, and made to do so much heavy lifting that my back was sore to the point of which I was crying. Haven't seen her in 7 years, and I plan to keep it that way.

Lucky me! I had GREAT in-laws, and although they are both gone, I LOVE and MISS them like crazy.
The husband was not supportive or validating to his wife. In fact, he was kind of abusive. Didn’t talk to her about his mother staying. Cut her off when she wanted to talk. Didn’t defend her against his mother. What a poor future daddy he will make.

This is why I called the wedding off…. My fiancé’s Mom would call all day, in the middle of the night, try to tell me how to be a woman & a wife when she has never been married. She would call for him to fix her TV over the phone instead of calling AT&T. On top of that we’re 4 hours away. She calls when we’re on vacation & tries to dictate our day. I’m like this lady needs a life. She calls him for money knowing we’re starting out. Sabotage but he doesn’t see it.
Important advice!! She & any1 who’s got a MIL like her & (unfortunately) me or a MIL that’s even a lil close to her, you record every & I mean EVERY convo you have w/her or frankly w/any of ur SO’s family or friends who are like this. My husband knows how his mom is so he’d believe me over her anyway but I still record it all!!
