- Can we keep him?! For real the huskies here in Lapland are the sweetest dogs ever! And today we entered their world as they pulled us through the snow and across frozen lakes in our very own sled! After we geared up with some warm jumpsuits provided by Apukka Resort, we headed out to their husky park to meet our team of 5 huskies! After cruising around for an hour we spend some time petting and thanking these wonderful dogs for the time of our lives! We even got to meet one of the puppies on-site and cuddle him by the fire...unforgettable! We will miss not only Lapland, but Finland as well as we head to a new country tomorrow!

They do important job rescuing those dogs. Many take husky/huskies to be sofadogs just 'cos they're cute but they're bred for pulling. They need that job to be happy, they crave pulling, they live for that. And that's how they end up in shelters, they don't get to use their energy and need to pull so they'll start destroying places, eat shoes, tables, etc. They're not the dog for one who isn't ready to provide pulling for them. And they're also very social breed, they need a friend.

This would have been my favorite place to go to out of all that you have been at. My Bucket List is to go in a dog sled ride. All the snow covered trees and wide open spaces to just goooo! The huts looked so cozy & the windows all around you, WOW.
It was truly amazing! Definitely a bucket list experience!
Can recommend Santa's village in Rovaniemi! You can experience all those things there or you can go norther but there ins't much anything like to do. But Santa's village is big recommend if you have those kinda things on the bucket list :)

The reindeers you saw were likely not 'wild', more like free-range, owned by somebody (they have marked ears, like cattle).

Nice to see how you enjoy, even it's not a proper winter yet. It's much more beautiful after a month or two. It have been extremely cloudy for past weeks, but when the sky clears the Northern lights can be seen almost every night.

As a Finn who has been to Lapland all throught my childhood and lived in three different Western countries as an adult, I never realised that Lapland is that magical. But it actually is, having experienced winter and Xmas in other countries.
The best thing to do is to come with a bigger group, if you have children. There are plenty of lovely cottages, all with inclusive sauna, at ski resorts, if if you have two families sharing, the cost is not that bad either.

You can do this in the states too, I think it would be so much fun! I had some friends do this in Colorado a few years ago. The only part I wouldn't like is the cold lol! Super fun vlog today!

Reindeer don't care about anyone 😄 I was in Lapland during summer and they roam around freely. They wouldn' even move over on the road when cars came
