Great review of an incredibly talented band. I saw them live in London last week as the start of their wold tour. Miyako, the dark haired guitarist, is also a superb classically trained pianist, check out ‘Swan Song with the Chopin intro’. But they are all at the top of their game. From 🇬🇧

The 2 lead guitarists, Midori & Miyako (M&M for short), are arguably the best guitar duo today and undoubtedly one of the best duos in the history of rock & metal. You ain't seen nothing yet in terms of what they can do, especially LIVE on stage. BTW, demand for tickets for the LA show in September has been hot and they have upgraded to a larger venue. LOVEBITES is one of THE best live bands to ever take the stage and between the incomparable twin guitar attack of midori and miyako - the insane drumming of the little big engine haruna - 4 ft. 9 in. tall - amazing bassist miho - replaced by fami in 2022 - and the soaring vocals by asami - this is one band that will knock you out with every performance - NO bad songs to be found - all self written.

Miyako (the right chick) is not bored. She is introvert and concentrated. I mean, she has written the whole thing. So, she hear what all are playing. Lots to take in. Concentration needed.
I hope I can go see these ladies in Dallas, the lead singer Asami has a powerful voice but she is tiny at 4’9 as is the drummer Haruna is I believe 4’10 and she is a machine on the drums. If want to try some other all female Japanese bands try Hanabie, Nemophila, Trident, Aldious, Fate Gear, Bridear, Lonesome Blue, STMLT, Gacharic Spin, Otoboke Beaver, Hades. Other mixed bands to check out are Maximum the Hormone, Asterism, and Unlucky Morpheus.
