Hi friends. This is Alan from Discovery Walking Tours TV. I recently visited the megacity of Guangzhou and I had a real blast recording the sights and sounds. I travelled to many parts of China during the last 2 years and have personally seen the huge changes. I think there are a lot of "misinformation" about how the country is like, and I hope with these videos, people will be more well informed and will be able to see the country for what is it. I used binaural microphones to record the environmental sounds. So if you have a pair of headphones, do use them, it will be quite an immersive experience 😀 If you notice any interesting points in the video or want to ask about something that was caught on camera, comment with a time stamp (eg 00:01) and I will be sure to check it out. It's definitely a bustling place and one of the gateways to China from the south. But I'm sure you already know that since you been working in Wuxi for awhile 😁 After visiting Guangzhou, I'm kind of itching to go back to Beijing and Shanghai to film the big ones 😂
The best part of Chinese cities is the sense of safety. I've been to Shanghai, Beijing, and Shenzhen-Guangzhou, for example, and I never ever felt in danger or harassed.
