You're amazing. I've purchased your books and watch your videos on painting roses, you make it look easy, I still haven't quite got it. Dang it. I will not give up. It will sink in one day like every new thing I try. ❤

Truly a lovely floribunda rose painting and as you always mention keep your painting interesting and don't aim for perfection but have fun & develop your own style. The seed of motivation is what is in your heart. If you enjoy painting in time with patience, practice and perseverance your skills will improve. Thanks for the video and not surprised the floribunda's have sold so well.

My husband and I enjoy your videos, I have been painting since I was a little girl I went to Ringling College for illustration, I have
Always wanted to paint flowers well but just fell a little short most of the time, I love to see you push the paintings to the end, that is really great for me. My husband likes to see you “pull” your subjects from your ground painting.
    Thanks again !

Definitely need to study color theory a bit more, I swear I think that every time I paint with you. Lol
Thanks for being so good at teaching!!!

    Dear David,
Thank you so much for taking us on a great educational journey over the most recent five lessons (i.e., How to Paint Hydrangeas, Harmony of Colors, Over the Pass, Snowy Owl, and this one: Floribunda Roses). I’ve started taking notes to help myself remember elements of Color Theory that you’ve been reinforcing so regularly in each one. Learning about the progression (overlapping?) of the theory from one type of painting to another has been very beneficial. Also, it’s wonderful that you’ve thoughtfully incorporated some of Richard Schmidt’s “Grand Manner” technique (that many of us had requested) into your painting instruction for these Floribunda Roses. They are simply gorgeous, and the “sparks” really work well. Thank you again. Great stuff. Best regards to you and yours. JV

I had fun with this one. At first I wasn’t happy with my results, but a few days later I’m thinking, “not so bad.” I’m definitely growing, and that’s satisfying.

I watch the same video generally 3X before I paint it. Everything he says is exactly what you need to do. Practice practice. Watch the video over and over and you will finally see it. I am blind in both eyes I have what is called detail vision so I have to watch them several times to be able to see it. And I still don't see it like everybody else does and it took forever but. Once I did it's just amazing what he just do what he says and it works if I can do it anybody can do it

I have a quick question, hope you can answer. Did you learn how to draw before painting, or did you just jump into painting right away? Just curious.
