@@Lelesdesigns Hello! I am enjoying your patterns and full descriptions a LOT! I wanted to make your Baby Alive reversible sundress for my granddaughter, but the pattern is no longer linked on your video. I know it's been a while since you created it, but is there any chance you could send it to me? It would be much appreciated! Thank you! Diane Sherwood
I've made close to 90 masks of various patterns for family, friends, elderly. I've tried many different styles, all with filters made from Filti material. I wanted a fittable nose piece, a filter pocket, no-gap fit and the mask should be high enough to help keep glasses from fogging. Either the filter pocket was hard to access or was too small to cover the mouth and nose. This is the best and easiest pattern by far. Fits like a glove without puckering under the chin or at the sides. It also fits up under my glasses (I used the XL pattern and a 1" fold for the elastic side channels instead of 1/2" so it wouldn't extend past my ears). My ears are too small to keep ear loops from slipping off with my glasses but it was easy to insert a 27" piece of elastic, run it through both side channels and convert it from ear loops to over the head and behind the neck fit. Thank you for an easy pattern and a great video tutorial!
I definitely wanted facemask with filter & now's piece. I eagerly chose multiple videos to do by ( I am not a sewing person but would like to be). Time after time I was left lost. This video is my godsend. I am a teacher & your thorough yet simply explained instructions have left me excited & eager to get sewing. Thank you. So happy to find you & to subscribe for future endeavors.
You are so welcome! so glad you found my video and your eager to give it a try. Even happier to hear you didn't give up. I believe you will be happy with the result. Thank You for your kind words.
My favorite mask to date!!! As added protection I sewed water resistant interfacing on the face lining (all four layers right side to right side) at once; turned and cut back the water resistant interfacing by 1/2 inch so it wouldn't show under the lining. Thank you for this! The easiest of all masks with much less fabric waste!
A tip. Iron over the ends before sewing around the curved piece so that you can sew them at the same time. It saves time. I've made hundreds of these and everyone loves them. Thank you for the video, it's very clear. x
You have the best face mask tutorials. I've made almost 200 of your original pattern for my daughter's co-workers (restaurant servers, bartenders) and my co-workers (nurses, other medical personnel) and everyone loves them! And it's because of your straightforward, easy to follow pattern. Thank you so much for creating these!
The best facemask pattern and the best clear instructions I have seen and heard. Will definitely share this. Thank you so much. Made six of these today in about 2 hours from start to finish. This might be slow for some but it does not matter as long as it gets done and I was so happy with it.
Wow, thank you! No, 6 mask in 2 hours is great that not that long at all. I believe when your crafting there is no rush. take your time and enjoy it. Helps relive stress. Glad to hear you are happy with the mask you made.
Hi! I've not sewn in years so at 1st the masks I made were not so hot. Then I stumbled upon your page and found this mask. It turned out great! The provided pattern and your step by step instructions turned me into a pro in no time. Thanks again! You are a Blessing!
I'm so glad you made a larger version and a child's version. I love making this mask but the original pattern was, sadly, a tad too small for my face. I just printed it out, however, and it's really a lot larger than the original. I would love it if you could create one in-between the two. thanks
Happy to hear you like the larger and child version. I did make just a tad bit change to the original but not much in size. You might double check to make sure you are not printing the XL or XXl. here is the Adult size lelesdesigns.com/olsonmask2.pdf . If you need to make adjustment you can print at 90% if you need it smaller or print 110% to make it larger. Hope this helps.
Thank you! I just made an Olsen mask following another video before I found yours. It is the same idea, but much simplified and less finicky with fewer pieces. Can't wait to try.
Thank you so much for this super tutorial! I have already done about 90 masks in 3 sizes during the last months but was still struggling with the side seams... and now I learned from you to do the long flaps so that everything is neatly inside and it takes less time! What a great idea! I am so thankful for sharing your great method! By the way, for the nose bridge I use simply the top stich line and insert a pipe cleaner... 😉 Vielen lieben Dank! And take care to stay healthy!! Gitte
Thank you for making a mask with a quarter inch seam being a patchworker I can understand this pattern. Finally going to make some as we are in Melbourne Australia 🇦🇺 and anyone over 12 has to wear one outside.
Love hearing my pattern is going around the world and you were able to understand this pattern. Here in Arizona in USA we are require to wear mask age 2 and up
I bought the travel iron. Much easier than heating up my bigger iron which heats up my whole room. I’ve made several masks using this pattern. No kidding, this is the easiest and quickest method to make a GREAT fitting mask. Stay Safe everyone
Your teaching is excellent - very easy to understand. Great mask and thanks for free patterns. I found that the nose bridges break with just a little pressure and must be removed before washing. A friend left one in the mask and the glue stuck, the bridge broke and could not be removed. Just a heads-up.
Thank You so much! Yes I would suggest not putting these in the dryer if you are putting the nose bridge in. I hand wash mine and hang dry. Then I press them to kill any germs. Once in awhile I throw them in the wash. so far they have held up without any bridge broken. I do need to update this pattern to make it easier to take the nose piece out as there are some really cheap nose bridge on the market and not everyone has the time to hand wash. I would suggest to maybe stick the nose bridge on the outside for now. Thank You for your sweet comment and bringing this to my attention.
Thank you so much for sharing this pattern and the tutorial!! I have tried other patterns, but none of them turned out good. This tutorial is easy to follow, the mask turned out really nice, and the size was spot on. Thank you again!!
Thank you so much for this so easy to follow video tutorial leledesigns. I love how snug fitting this mask is and covers under the chin so well. It’s actually a better fit than the original Olsen Masks. Your tweaking has made this a perfect fit. I am so happy with this. I am shocked at a comment made by Angela Garnto. It’s hard reality that idiots like her do exist who seem to get a kick out of tearing good people down and making stupid nasty comments. Unbelievable!
You are so welcome! So happy to hear it was easy to follow along and you love how it fits. Thank you for taking the time to write me and let me know how much you like the pattern. It really made my day. I agree I was shocked on Angela Garnto comment. When I get comments like hers.I have to keep reminding myself that some people were just raised differently.
I followed your video step by step and found it very easy to follow. The face mask turned out nicely, no pucker. I did find the regular size a tad too big for my face so will try decreasing the pattern size as you recommend. I also found the cheek portion too long for my face, and think I will shorten the ends by 1 inch. Thanks again for the great tutorial.
@@Lelesdesigns so just a followup. I did sew a mask at a 90 % decrease from the original size and it is a tad to small.....so today I'll try a decrease of 95 %. The nice thing is this takes very little time to whip up.
Thanks for the update it help other viewers as well. The good thing is there is always someone to donate them too and yes they take so little time. Hope the 95% works better for you.
I did the same thing. On the last fold to insert elastic I folded over that 1" extra and works great! I like a little extra room over the nose & mouth after inserting a filter. Feels less suffocating that way.
... I want to thank you for such an easy video to follow! ... I'm a beginner and you made me look like a pro to my family members :) ... thank you mam from the bottom of my heart
I have watched so many videos on mask making over the past 4 months. Yours is by far the easiest to follow. Thank you so much for your clear and precise instructions. Can you teach me how to make videos like you do? 😄
Your Welcome! So happy to hear it was easy to follow along. Thank You for your sweet comment. I still need improvement on the video making. I have improved from the 1st couple of video which were not so good.
Thank you. I am a novice and have not tried an Olson mask yet. Your teaching video is excellent. Very clear and understandable. Great commentary! Helps so much better then annoying music. Anxious to try it. Could you suggest a way to modify so I could use the comfort elastic but go around the head rather than behind the ears like a standard respirator type mask. My ears get so sore. I did try a band to attach the ear elastic but that isn't ideal. Thank you again. Excellent!! \
You are so welcome! yes with this ear channel you will be able to use the elastic behind the head just run it though the hole then take it to the other side and run it though that ear channel. ruclips.net/video/FCQWA3Jtucw/видео.html in this video I show how to do that. which is the exact same pattern as this one. This is an updated version and shorter video.
Hi! I just wanted to let you know that your RUclips tutorial of the face masks is totally easy to follow at the right learning speed for a totally non sewer like myself. I wanted to make masks for my family, friends, and co workers and you made that possible. I also wanted to ask you is there any way you could make an easy slow to follow RUclips tutorial on those nurse caps or hats thats trending. Matching caps and masks ... makes great bday gifts for 2021 😁. Thanks Lucie
Thank You so much! This comments make me appreciate why I do this. I love hearing that you were able to make this mask. I will definitely check out these caps. sounds like a great idea.
When you cut around the pattern, do you leave extra space, or do you cut exactly to the size of the pattern? Sorry for asking, normal dressmaking rules are that you leave half an inch for turning but I am not sure if you did as it is not shown how you cut the fabric. Thank you
Thank you for the great pattern. I also needed a size between the regular and Xlarge, so I printed the Xlarge at 90 percent. That seems to work. I do something a little different for the nose piece. After doing the topstitching, I again stitch 1/4" to 3/8" from the topstitching. I like to do this second row on the reverse side to eliminate puckering. This creates a tube to insert the nosepiece. Works great. The wire is then removable if desired.
I found a way to help the nose stand away from the face. You'll need small strips of Oly-Fun fabric. It's a polyurethane fabric that washes well. Anyway just cut a small strip about 1/2 wide (you can make it wider and then trim away too much excess) and I sew this right into the center curved seam. It provides a bit of stabilization that seems to help keep that seam from puckering and sticking to the face. I have used it on both the liner and the outer fabric. JoAnn fabrics might have this Oly-Fun fabric. You can also buy some at Amazon. Just a tip that might help someone else.
This sounds like a great tip. I am definitely going to try it as soon as I finish organizing my craft room. is it polypropylene or polyurethane? I have both.
Thank you so much for sharing your awesome video, your instructions are so easy to follow. The part I'm a little frustrated is when sewing the nose wire in the mask, trying to make it as straight as possible. Wish I could do it with confidence 💚💚💚
Your welcome! Sorry to hear the nose is frustrating. You might try sewing the front facing up and use a thread that matches the fabric this way it will blend in with the fabric.
I thought I’d try your pattern. Wow it is so easy however I tried the XL but I had to trim the sides back by about 1/2” on the bottom because it was too low on the side. By doing this the mask fit perfectly. Thank you so much..the easiest pattern!
I did make it but it was too small. The chin part came up too high..guess I have a fat chin haha. No problem though I’ll give it to my daughter. It really was amazingly so easy to make. I have an order for 10 masks for my son in Yellowknife so I’m trying to hone the pattern for him. Thanks so much for your interest.
Yes, That is the great thing on the mask if it don't fit. You can always find someone to give it too. Glad to hear you figured out a way to make it work.
Your pattern makes this mask so much easier to sew. (1) I find that the narrowest part of the Olson mask - top to bottom at the part where the ties attach - is too tall. The mask gathers instead of lying flat so I want to make it narrower at this point. (This gathering is obvious when you look at a picture of someone wearing the mask). Should I reduce the height at this point by taking away from the top or bottom or both? (2) When the mask cups the chin, it easily pulls down to uncover the nose, especially when talking. I think that it should be a bit less fitted under the chin. Your thoughts? Many thanks, Lele and others.
I made one of these but must have used the XL pattern by mistake - it was enormous on me! Going to try one of the smaller sizes - I really like the shape of it. It was just way too big on me
@@Lelesdesigns Yes your most welcome! Your a kind soul for sharing your knowledge and pattern for people that sew in order to help others. I only just came upon your channel this evening. Thanks again 😊
I prefer making the metal nose piece removable, so I don't sew the ends closed. Additionally, before adding the channel for the nose piece, I also topstitch about 1/8" (rather than 1/4") from the edges of the mask and topstitch BEFORE folding the ends over & making the channels for the elastic; that way, the topstitching is continuous to the ends of the mask. After doing the topstitching, I then add stitching for the nose wire/metal; stitching for a length of approximately 2" on each side of the center, then insert the wire. (No concerns of accidentally hitting the nose piece when topstitching either.) :)
I love that pink fabric you use as a table-top. And the very cute little iron, I saw that in another vid just today. This is the simplest mask design I've seen! I also love how you sew one then immediately start the next without even cutting the thread. Do you not need a backstitch or doesn't it matter? My mum bought real pipe cleaners from a tobacconist shop and they are longer and work really well as a nose stabilser.
Oh thank you! Yes, You need a back stitch I mention in the beginning of the sewing that I cut out the the beginning and ending back stitch but now I think maybe others are missing where I stated that. next time I will leave the back stitch in the video. Thanks for the helpful tip on getting a pipe cleaner from a tobacconist shop
I love your patterns and the mini iron! Perfect for masks and crafting projects. The travel iron saved the day when my daughter’s wedding veil did not travel well. Planning ahead I brought the iron and her wrinkled veil was no more. By any chance do you have a look for the blue pointer thingy you were using? I see it has a rubber like tip on one side and I can really use one of those to guide my fabric. Thanks for your videos and patterns!
That is awesome! Here is a link amzn.to/3eCXIRA for the CLOVER Hold It Precision but the link I'm sending is outrageously priced right now. You can purchase it for around 12.95 and maybe less if you buy at joann's fabric with a coupon.
Awesome.. and thank you Lisa !!!!! .. like your video with very simple and easy instructions and the free patterns. Watched a few and yours is the simplest and the best :)
I'm sorry these video take so much time. You could follow along with most of the video. You will need to sew the nose bridge and topstitch with a sewing machine or hand sew it.
Thank for so much for the different sizes.. I was wondering if I can use a regular ole tee-shirt for my mask material or do I need something a little more sturdy? Thank you for any insight..🙂
I think you can but I have not tried it. I would test it on some junky shirt first before cutting your favorite shirt. You might have to make it a tad bit smaller as knit will stretch so printing at 90% might work. The good is these take no time to make. For the test You should only have to make the front of the mask and sew the curve part then fold ends in and pin temporily. then check in the mirror to see if it fits before proceeding.
Thank you so much for the reply. I hadn't thought about the stretch and making the pattern smaller. Thats a great tip, lol..I'll give it a shot this weekend and let you know how it turns out 👍👍
I really like this design. Looks very easy and I will try this for sure. I’m just wondering if this is breathable tho. If not, do you have one that is? Ty
I found this breathable wearing on a airplane that was 3 hour flight. Total time wearing it 5 hours I did not use a filter as I have a hard time breathing with any mask. I just recently made this expandable one ruclips.net/video/GJe3fNVEaI8/видео.html but only tried it for 30 minutes which is a little easier to pull down. Though I think it is a matter of preference.
I was just wondering about making this just a touch larger. This is the only pattern I’ve used that allows me to wear glasses over the nose wire, preventing fogging. I told my brother I’d make him one, sooo...I’ll print the larger one. Thanks
Do you have a medium size pattern for this mask? Would you consider doing a video using directional fabric for these masks? Could you show how to cut the directional fabric out? I have a problem every time I use directional fabric. I have had to scrap a few masks due to the fabric going the wrong way. I get very frustrated with myself as I can't wrap my head around it. I really like this pattern, very easy to make. Your instruction is very clear and easy to follow.
This is a very nice and easy mask pattern. However, I made up two in the XL size for two large men. The sides go way up over the ears. Before fitting it to the man, I had to fold over the ends twice with a generous fold. After the one man tried it on, I had to take the sides apart and put in a pleat on each side to make the sides a little shorter, and then refolded twice. The face part of the mask is also very large and moves up and down when he talks. I will try again after I've altered the pattern some on the sides, and will probably take much larger seam allowances. I've made almost 200 masks, so I THINK I know what I'm doing. Just don't know what went wrong with this one.
Thank You! Have you tried to see if the lelesdesigns.com/olsonmask2.pdf mask fit him as that mask will fit some men as long as it covers the nose, mouth and chin you might have to add more elastic to it for him.
if the one that fits most don't fit. I just made a new size that is smaller than the XL you used. It is here lelesdesigns.com/olsonmaskxl2.pdf I think this should fit better if you are folding in the sides.
Hello dear, I like to watch you video, you are a great teacher. I don't sew much, but I would like to make facemask for my family. I don't know how to cut the facemask on the fabrics, Do I cut it on the Bias or on the grain line. Thank you very much. Please help me
Before you placed the pink cloth for us to be able to see better, I noticed that you were using your iron on your quilt and press I may be wrong. If so, could you please tell me what kind of quilt and press that is?
Hello, thank you for sharing....do you have this in an SVG file. I have made many masks and this is the best one. It is very easy to make...I would like to use my cricut maker to cut it out.
Great tutorial! Do you have a pattern for petite women? I have a very small face, but the child mask is too small and the next size up is way too big. I read through the comments looking for a similar question. My apologies if I missed it.
I just finished making my first mask using your pattern. Wow, so easy! What a great tutorial! I also found a solution to my sizing issue. When I printed out the pattern I decreased the scale by 10%. Worked perfectly!
Happy to hear this worked. Another thing if you made the first one and did not prewash the 100% cotton fabric. Maybe throw it the wash and dryer and see if if it fits better as it should shrink a little. Hopefully others will see your great idea and if anyone ask I will share you info. Thank You
When you sew thevquarter in border at top, it gives you enough room to slide the nose pcs in and then you just so on each end to keep nose pcs from coming out.
Thank You for your input. I do these steps as some of my viewers are beginners and if they are off a tad bit it won't fit. So it easier for me to have them go though this step instead them texting me it didn't work and they have to pull out the top stitch.
Lelesdesigns it was way faster your way, thank you for this pattern & video. Could you tell me how to make a size bigger than the child but not adult size? I need one for ages 8-12 yr olds.
Sorry Debbie did not see this message. It stinks I am only notified when I get a brand new message. I have to dig though to find these. Happy to hear this was faster for you. For the child size 8-12 I would try printing the adult at 90% You might have to adjust depending on width of face.
Thank You! Its really hard to be accurate when doing the measurement especially with curves and takes so much time. maybe you can get a family, friend, coworker to print it. Not sure where you are located but if in USA you can have it printed at Walmart for 8 cents and some library will let you print for free with a library card. a couple of other places to print is Kinko and pharmacy.
I'm really not qualified to answer this question. I can give you my opinion but I'm no medical profession. I think the more fabric you use the more protection it will give you. Though the more fabric you use the less your be able to breathe.
The plus of this pattern/mask is that it is providing a filter pocket, so... the wearer can add a filter (or two, should they desire) to the mask; and the filter is easily replaceable.
Thanks so much for doing these videos. I have made several masks and LOVE them!! I also forward your link and recommend your mask/pattern to others as well!! Stay safe!!
Hi Lisa. Thank you for an amazing tutorial. Could you please guide me how I can size the pattern for my grand daughters age 10 and almost 13. I read in another tutorial of yours to resize the pattern but am having difficulty deciding what percentage to increase the child’s pattern in this video. Also not sure what size and length elastic I should use. Thank you so much.
Your Welcome! It is really difficult to determine the size without seeing the face. My granddaughter is 9 and she has a wider face and the adult size fits her. My guess would be the adult size. The child size pattern will probably be too small. If your looking for a custom fit. I would suggest making 1 adult and determining if you need to make it smaller. If you do then print at 95% - 90% or how much you think will work. For the elastic follow my instructions toward the end of the video where you use a safety pin to determine the size. If you are sending out of town then just send them the elastic separate and have them put it in.
Lelesdesigns - thank you so much. I tried the blue disposable masks on my10 year old grand daughter and it was slightly big for her face. How long do you think I should cut the elastics which of course could be adjusted as per your video. Thanks again. I have started the first adult one today for the 13 year old.
Lelesdesigns - thank u. Apologize for asking so many questions but could you please tell me what the finished size of the mask should be. The one is made looks quite big (horizontally).
Do these masks fit without puckering in middle. I have made several masks and they pucker right around the mouth. I've sewn straight down thru middle which helps. Now have about quarter-size pucker. The pleated masks do not do this but then they are not rated as high. I prefer this type. It's driving my OCD brain crazy. I wish I was an engineer. Any suggestions?
No, sorry it is to hard with the curves to do an accurate measurement. I would suggest getting a family member, friend, neighbor, coworker to print it for you. Walmart will print for 8 cents. Kinko and some pharmacy but they are more expensive. Another idea but not sure if yours is open Library will let you print for free if you have a Library card. Thank you Hope you can get it printed out.
It's to time consuming to do the measurement and they are not correct. I provide a printable pattern that is accurate. If you do not have a printer maybe you can get a family, friend, coworker to print it. Not sure where you are located but if in USA you can have it printed at Walmart for 8 cents and some library will let you print for free with a library card. also most pharmacy have a copier

Gitte
Your welcome! Glad you found my tutorial and it save you some time. Thank you for your kind words and sharing you pipe cleaner idea!
Here in Arizona in USA we are require to wear mask age 2 and up
I love your video. Thank you for explaining everything so well. You make it look so easy!!! Love it!!!
Thank you so much!
REALLY, REALLY love how this pattern can be made 1-2-3! (That's quickly.) And the final result is great! Thank you soooo much!
You are so welcome! Happy to hear you like the pattern. Thank You!
i just want to thank u for making this an easy pattern just print it out . u are the first one that ive seen that has done this. so thank u very much.
You are so welcome!
I bought the travel iron. Much easier than heating up my bigger iron which heats up my whole room. I’ve made several masks using this pattern. No kidding, this is the easiest and quickest method to make a GREAT fitting mask. Stay Safe everyone
Your welcome! I love that little iron. Thank You for your kind words. Stay safe and healthy.
Instead of clipping the curves I used my pinking shears and for the nose part I used a zipper foot and worked really good
Thank You Lisa! Appreciate you sharing your great idea.
I’ve made several variations of mask. This is my new favorite pattern. Thanks for sharing!
Wonderful! Happy to hear this.
I love that it's only two pieces. The Olsen Mask pattern I've been working with is three pieces and that makes it a slower job. Thanks!
You are so welcome! Glad to help save you some time.
Thank you so much for sharing this pattern and the tutorial!! I have tried other patterns, but none of them turned out good. This tutorial is easy to follow, the mask turned out really nice, and the size was spot on. Thank you again!!
You are so welcome! Glad you found my video and pattern. Happy to hear it was easy to follow along. Thank You.
This is the best construction method I've seen. Thank you.
Thanks, I really appreciate you saying that.
What a great mask tutorial. Much easier than the original Olson pattern. Thank you for sharing with us.
You're very welcome! Glad to hear it was helpful. Thank You
God bless you for this wonderful pattern and easy to follow instructions.😷👍🧵
You’re welcome 😊 Thank You too!
Wonderful! Yes try printing at 90% and I believe that should work.Have fun stitching it out.
Happy to hear you got it to work for you. Thanks you for letting me know. Have a Great weekend!
... I want to thank you for such an easy video to follow! ... I'm a beginner and you made me look like a pro to my family members :) ... thank you mam from the bottom of my heart
You are so welcome! Glad this was helpful!
Best mask design I have seen so far!!! Thank you for making this video.
You're very welcome!
Thanks
Lucie
Thank You so much! This comments make me appreciate why I do this. I love hearing that you were able to make this mask. I will definitely check out these caps. sounds like a great idea.
When you cut around the pattern, do you leave extra space, or do you cut exactly to the size of the pattern? Sorry for asking, normal dressmaking rules are that you leave half an inch for turning but I am not sure if you did as it is not shown how you cut the fabric. Thank you
You cut it exactly on the line and don't be sorry it is a good question.
Your Welcome! Glad to hear you like the pattern. Thank You so much for sharing your idea! We truly appreciate it.
Well articulated instructions. Thank you.
Glad it was Helpful!
I think it is polypropylene. Whatever Oly-Fun fabric is made of
I agree you are an excellent teacher. Thank you so much for the tutorial and free pattern.
You are welcome! Happy to hear you like the video and pattern. Thank You for kind comment 😊
@@Lelesdesigns How about using a zipper foot?
Great Idea @Robin Moore
Thank you all for your suggestions, will try the zipper foot.
I thought I’d try your pattern. Wow it is so easy however I tried the XL but I had to trim the sides back by about 1/2” on the bottom because it was too low on the side. By doing this the mask fit perfectly. Thank you so much..the easiest pattern!
You are so welcome! Great Job so happy to hear this worked for you. Did you try the regular size by adding more elastic?
It would be best to take in from the top and bottom
I made one of these but must have used the XL pattern by mistake - it was enormous on me! Going to try one of the smaller sizes - I really like the shape of it. It was just way too big on me
Thank you. if the XL was too big then the adult size will fit. Have fun stitching it out.
Well done very nice pattern you are an excellent instructor and narrator. Thank you for sharing your work. Stay safe and protected.
Wow Thank you very much! Stay safe and healthy.
@@Lelesdesigns Yes your most welcome! Your a kind soul for sharing your knowledge and pattern for people that sew in order to help others. I only just came upon your channel this evening. Thanks again 😊
Thank You for your kind words 😊
Thanks Linda I appreciate you taking the time to share your idea.
Best instructions yet! Thank you!!
You are so welcome! So Happy to hear this 😊
I love your patterns and the mini iron!
You are so welcome! Glad to hear it was simple and easy for you. Thank You for supporting my channel.
What a smart pattern. Thank You, Excellent work.
Many thanks!
❤❤❤ Thank You for simplifying the pattern and this wonderful tutorial, Stay Safe ❤❤❤
Thank you! You too!
Can you show it using a serger? Thank you for the great tutorial. Your Olsen pattern is more reasonable.👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽💯😉
I'm sorry these video take so much time. You could follow along with most of the video. You will need to sew the nose bridge and topstitch with a sewing machine or hand sew it.
Simple, easy directions. Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
Thats a great tip, lol..I'll give it a shot this weekend and let you know how it turns out 👍👍
Your welcome! Looking forward to hearing back from you on how it turns out.
Thank you so so easy ,not a whole lot of measuring.
You’re welcome 😊
Thanks
Thank you! Im happy to hear this.
Can’t figure how to get the pattern.
The adult size is the medium/ large. if you want it a bit smaller you can print at 95% or smaller. Thank You!
Well articulated instructions. Thank you. Blessings.
You are so welcome
Thank you so much for all your efforts. Very clear instructions & easy pattern. I tried it today & it came out so well.
May God bless you!💝
Thanks a lot 😊
Hello dear, I like to watch you video, you are a great teacher. I don't sew much, but I would like to make facemask for my family. I don't know how to cut the facemask on the fabrics, Do I cut it on the Bias or on the grain line. Thank you very much. Please help me
Thank You for your kind words. I cut on the grain line.
Thank you for your modified pattern and detailed explanations. 👍🙏🙏
You are welcome 😊
Before you placed the pink cloth for us to be able to see better, I noticed that you were using your iron on your quilt and press I may be wrong. If so, could you please tell me what kind of quilt and press that is?
yes it is june tailor. I list in a link in the description.
I am a beginner. Does the pattern print out the exact size to be used or does it need to be enlarged ? Thank you, love the video
yes it prints letter size and you can double check with the 1" square
Best video I have seen for Olson mask!
Thank You so much!
Thank you ! Is the printed pattern tru to size when printed?
Thank you very much for the free pattern in different sizes!
You’re welcome 😊
Hello, thank you for sharing....do you have this in an SVG file. I have made many masks and this is the best one. It is very easy to make...I would like to use my cricut maker to cut it out.
Your welcome! I am sorry I only have it in PDF
Thank You
I have that little iron and just love it!
yes, I only wished I had found it sooner. It sure is a time saver and don't heat up my craft room like my big iron.
This is the best Olsen Mask tutorial I have seen. I did not get the pattern at first, but awesome suprise and technigue!. Thank you
Wow, thank you!
@@Lelesdesigns Hello I love this can you email the pattern please. dette6521@yahoo.com
Hi Claudette, The pattern is just below the video in blue letters. I will email it to you now
Thank you
Do I need to cut out the fabric on the line or do I need to cut some allowance around the pattern.
cut it on the line there is no seam allowance for the pattern
Thanks for sharing this unique pattern. This was fun and really easy to cut (no measuring) out.
You are so welcome! Glad you like it
Wonderful, made one today. It was easy to turn right side out and nice finished ends. Thanks.
Wonderful! Happy to hear this. Stay safe and healthy.
Lelesdesigns i enjoy them I am a beginner
Your a very good beginner especially that you are finding the shortcuts. That awesome!
Love this video can't wait to try it thank you. The white pieces for the lining that's cotton fabric right not filter?
That is correct. Thank You! Have fun stitching it out.
I have made 20+ Olson mask, can’t wait to try this. Thank you!
This one will be so much easier. Let me know when you get it done.
Lelesdesigns thank you! 🥰
Please supply the measurements for this pattern.. I dont have a printer. love this pattern. Thanks
What kind of fabric did you use for the liner or the white fabric?
I used 100% cotton
Thank You for the supersized patterns 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽 Its not right when your mask ain’t fitting right!!
Your welcome! Glad I could be of help.
Best mask tutorial I have seen.
Wow Thank You!
Can this be Made with double fabric for extra protection ?
I'm really not qualified to answer this question. I can give you my opinion but I'm no medical profession. I think the more fabric you use the more protection it will give you. Though the more fabric you use the less your be able to breathe.
The plus of this pattern/mask is that it is providing a filter pocket, so... the wearer can add a filter (or two, should they desire) to the mask; and the filter is easily replaceable.
Great tutorial!! Thank you!! All of your videos are very informative with useful tips and have a great fit!!!
You are so welcome! Glad to hear you like them. Thank You for your kind words.
Thanks so much for doing these videos. I have made several masks and LOVE them!! I also forward your link and recommend your mask/pattern to others as well!! Stay safe!!
Your welcome! I am so happy to hear you like my pattern and appreciate your recommending it to others. Thank You!
7" -8" inches usually a 4"-5" ear loop is good for kids
Lelesdesigns - thank u. Apologize for asking so many questions but could you please tell me what the finished size of the mask should be. The one is made looks quite big (horizontally).
If I stretched it would be 8" on bottom and top is about 8 1/2"
Thank you for an easy to watch and to listen to tutorial. Will try this pattern today. Thank you from Australia :-)
You’re welcome 😊 Have fun stitching it out
Love this tutorial. Very easy to follow. Thank you!
You are so welcome!Happy to hear it was easy to follow along.
It might depend on how tight or loose you have the ears. I get very little pucker if any on mine but I have it a little more snugged
I have made several, no puckering at all.
I've been doing something very similar for a while. But I've taken even more of time by not not folding and ironing as much.
I printed off your patterns...but, I cannot find the instructions? Help plz!
The instructions are in the video. I take you step by step.
Beautiful mask, thanks for a great tutorial.
My pleasure 😊
I love this mask... I’ve made 2 and ready to make some more! I like having different colors to wear😊
That's awesome!
Hi, I don't have a printer for the templates. Can you send me the wide, long and other measurements in inches? Great video!
@@Lelesdesigns Thank you so much for your quick reply and thanks for the suggestions. Will give it a try.
