    125's are the most fun to ride. But they also require the most skill to ride properly. Wonder what this bike weighs? 190lbs?

    Just finished a leg workout for the 2018 season. I can't move right now and it's too cold to ride. Thank goodness for this shit!

    I know y’all are all about the latest and greatest and I like that. However, how about an old school CZ380 plowing the first turn at Glen Helen raw?

      Yes, they should make raw videos with vintage bikes once in a while. Would be fun to watch, for sure.

    Did anyone else notice that the guy need to shift ? you could literally see him slow down because the power was falling off from raving too long in the same gear... Dude shift that thing....

    if you want to have fun..ride a 270lb yamaha wr450 for an hr , then jump on a 125.

      2016 YZ125 is exactly the same as the 2017 which is the same as the 2018. However, the 2016 KTM 125SX changed for 2017 but only received minor changes for 2018. I don’t think much has been done to the engine for 2018 though...

      Well, not I just don’t know who to believe now. Because to me, on paper, the KTM 125SX seems like a better bike to go for. It has 38HP and 18.5 ft/lbs of torque vs the Yamaha which has 35HP and 18.3 ft/lbs of torque. Plus the YZ125 is heavier.
      I do realize that the Yamaha has the best suspension and handling, but, I just can’t ignore the fact that the KTM makes more power, torque and is lighter and to be real, I don’t think the KTM’s suspension is that bad, some people were telling me that it’s not bad and that it’s pretty decent. So... I don’t know...
      So if I look at the most recent link I sent you, it says that if a KTM rider installs the same mods as the Yamaha rider, the Yamaha rider would have no chance of keeping up. So that’s where my problems start, because the 125 riders here all have full FMF or Pro Circuit systems, some have their bikes tuned, etc. and those riders are riding KTM’s and Husqvarna’s. But mostly KTM’s. There are only very few people who run their bikes stock, maybe one or two and they don’t race seriously, they do it just for the fun of it, and I’m not looking to do that, I’m looking to race competitively and to win.
      So yeah, I’m completely lost now.

      All of the tracks in my country are fast tracks. Even though most are loamy tracks, they’re pretty wide open with some pretty big jumps. There is 1 sandy track, 3 loamy tracks and 3 hard pack tracks (nationals) (the regional track is a mixture of all 3) and all of them are wide open tracks. Most of the corners on these tracks are sweepers, there is maybe only 1 180degree corners (regional track) (national tracks except the my regional track which is also a national track all have sweeper corners.)
      So based on what you’re telling me, I think the YZ125 will not do as well as the KTM because you’re going to need that top end on fast tracks. But I get what you are saying, the YZ125 will be better on slightly tighter/slower tracks. It’s just unfortunate that those tracks don’t exist in my country.
      To get to your offer, I most probably do not live in the same country as you so unfortunately, I cannot bring the bike over to your workshop. Maybe if we lived in the same country then we could’ve done something about it!
