This family has gone thru a lot, they worked for Elvis, loved him, were devoted to him, i have nothing but respect and admiration for them. We don't know what they went thru, a bittersweet ride with the King, but always love for him 😊
Elvis was pissed at his dopy father for shacking up with that tomato and her 3 kids and really didn't want anything to do with that whole situation. How selfish and unfair of Vernon to put his son in such a position, I can't say that I blame him either and BOY did she show her true colors when push came to shove, I guess Elvis could smell it in the air😢
I have empathy for the Stanley brothers personally. While it would have been fantastic and life changing to be part of Elvis's life, it also wasn't a healthy environment at those very important years in adolescence. Sleeping all day, staying up all night, exposure to sex, drugs & rock n roll sounds great but didn't set them up for success in life in my opinion. Ricky was an addict and fought it all his life, it killed Elvis early, it killed Ricky too. They loved Elvis, how could they not have and it would have been life changing when Elvis passed. Yes they've stated certain things, it's their memories though and they've probably harmed themselves by some of the things they've said more than anyone else.
Billy's the only one of them that truly loved Elvis! The other two and Dee have shaded Elvis since he died and constantly talk about his drug use. David has even said that he believes Elvis deliberately killed himself! I have no use for David or his mother!

Would have been interesting to hear any response about some of the claims David made too in his last discussion with Elvis.
