Everyone wants a Macaw because they are exotic beautiful creatures with magnificent colors.....I want one because they can free fly and to watch them soar and be who they are meant to be is amazing!!! You have done a wonderful job showing us what a wonderful life they can have in captivity!!!

First thing that matters would be their personality , I dont mind keeping a pigeon which has more personality than an angry macaw 😁

When you think of or say the word Parrots Scarlet Macaws are always the birds that come to mind as the quintessential Parrot or representative of the parrot family.
So true.... I have a GCC who is 2 years old, he was gifted to me and I adore and spoil him....teaching him recall but would love to free fly him, however due to his size it would be dangerous for him. 😪
This is what treating birds as family and as companions is *all* about. This is amazing.

Parrots are like mini dogs!
They’ve actually been called feathered Primates because their behavior and personality are very much like us. They are highly intelligent creatures akin to human 5 or 6 year old. Lots of cognitive test by scientists reveal this fact. Owners know this first hand.
Graham Palmer yes that’s true!!! They don’t call us parronts for nothing!! It’s also funny how they can throw tantrums sometimes XD
Let’s all take a moment to appreciate how much these people dedicate their lives to theses birds and keep them happy and healthy

i have a african grey and we take him to fly every day and he doesn't have a cage he sleeps on his stand he does have a cage but he is on his stand in the day and we bought a huge cage and he sleeps in it
You should get him a cage, sometimes birds want time away, treat a birds cage like a kids bedroom, make it enjoyable for him

I had done this with my iguana. She had no cage at all, but if guests, the dogs and cat got too much of a handful for her she would walk to my open bedroom door and chill out on the window seal where her other heat rock was. The dogs and cat didn't enter the bedroom as did guests if they wanted to see her.
If she had been in the living room and left to my room, I wouldn't go get her. Her going to my room was strictly off limits.
That was her chill zone when she felt she needed the break.

I believe it's very important to have cage, not only as a safe place when you cant watch your bird but also a safe place to eat and drink, transportation and vet visits are also a good reason to own a cage

In London, all outdoor meet ups are ok. Bars, pubs and restaurants are open to the public too. You only need to wear masks inside shops.
Thanks a lot for your reply. I actually love all your videos and I think you both are amazing bird parents to Mia and Mike. But I was and still am concerned to see the social approach that Londoners are apparently having regarding SARS-cov-2 virus and its horrible COVID19 sickness. In many places in Europe the initial criteria was to use masks always indoor (when it's not your home or when you visit others or others visit you) and also wear them outdoors when fiscal distancing of 2 meters (6 feets) can't be ensured. In your videos none is spacing 2 meters from one another (from different households). The same thing happened in other parts of Europe, that people not wearing a facemask did not keep distance not even from people wearing the masks (to respect by protecting the facemask wearers from the breath and droplets and aerosols of the non-facemasks-wearers). That's why many of those places in Europe as soon as the new sars-cov-2 and covid surges showed up again have ended up making mandatory to wear the facemask in all public situations, because most people live in cities and will constantly encounter people within less than 2 meters distance (on pedestrian sidewalks, traffic lights or pedestrian cross walks, .... ). For me it's been shocking to see you all , whom I love you dearly (that's why I shared my concern), in London not only not wearing facemask but also not keeping an outdoor social or physical distance from one another (when not wearing a facemask). But with your answer I can comprehend more the cause of the troublesome numbers of SARS-cov-2 cases and COVID-19 deaths in London and the UK. I just wish you the best and that you are all lucky enough not to get the virus nor to pass it on to people you may love. Best regards and I hope to see more amazing videos of Mia and Mike and the bird related whereabouts of the family. :)

Happy Birthday, Mia! I really hoped she had a great birthday! There are many Scarlet Macaws, Red and Green Macaws, Harlequin Macaws, Red-Fronted Macaws, and Golden Macaws but only two green Indian ring-necked parakeets (very cute)... but overall, that party looked INSANE! I really hoped Mia had an amazing birthday :)

I'm with you. I lost a family member to Covid and both my parents had it so I was also disappointed to see so many people not distancing or wearing masks.
Even if you are from the same bubble you should still be distancing and wearing masks. One of them was from Blackpool which isn't too far from the high risk areas up north.
In the UK outdoor meet-ups are allowed. You only have to wear masks in shops. Even restaurants, bars and pubs are all open.
