I beg that you make some videos on your unbelievable machine. Maybe talking about the build process/why you decided this was something you wanted to try and pull off? This is just one of the coolest and most insane creations i've ever seen
The conditions didn't help, the understeer was immense, but then you couldn't drive it quick enough to get any heat into the fronts because the boost would spin you off backwards so had to always mother it. It would be tricky doing a straight quarter mile never mind corners.
@@jordanfc8181Yeah that’s a problem the normal Atom faces although it’s perfectly quick enough. I do wish people modified the aero properly though. That would beautiful!
Gave him a sense of self importance by telling someone off AFTER they've already done something. Hahaha. Give him a pat on the back for such a job well done! 🤣🤣🤣
1000hp in an Atom is just insane!! Who looks at an Atom and thinks "Needs more power"? It looks so unassuming as well. Definitely love to see that thing on a track it can stretch it's legs on. The Stig getting told off for doing donuts is hilarious.
For example can ams had races in sunny desert having over 30 degrees heat and track surface being quite hot. It's totally different to drive on a cold tarmac in damp British isles. Way to go Stig!
Were Hammond behind the wheel of this thing instead of Ben, I'm sure we'd get at least one declaration of 'I AM A DRIVING GOD!!' before Hamster came to the scene of yet another accident.
Great collaboration! Mark looked absolutely terrified in that TukTuk, understandably so. Also like that you had time to look at Adams feet while driving that car, absolutely mad! Great fun!
Incredibly jealous of both those lucky chaps who got to joyride with the man, the myth, the legend, the Stig! The Ariel was just absolute insanity on 4 wheels, well at least part of the time on 4 anyway. Love the channel Ben, you have great content and guests.
I thought I recognised that little circuit ! One of my locals. 40 mins up the road from me. A tad small for the Atom to stretch its legs properly though! Thanks for sharing. 🚘👍🏻
That was by far and away the most entertaining video to date. I love cameos from other youtubers in videos. I reckon a youtuber budget endurance race should be in order like the enduro KA series or something? Imagine reprimanding the stig though....clearly didn't understand whose presence he was in ha😂
Some say he is the third member of the Daft Punk all we know is that you have conkers made of something unreal in throwing that beast about . your a legend as always
I know APE 50 back in the day. It looked similar to this tuk-tuk. But setting up all that new junk on it and giving it 100x the performance of an APE 50... is just ridiculously hilarious and insane.
The Tuk Tuk can be amazing fun. I work in Asia, where we have come out of work late in the evening after a long day and had our Tuk Tuk drives race each other to the restaurant with us in the back and with a fraction of the power you have here. You can imagine the fun where we are working like sidecar passengers transferring weight. You can imagine we are killing ourselves laughing before we get to the first cold beer. It's not even fast but it is super unstable especially as traffic is coming at you from all angles. It's not about reading the track of the road but what's moving around you, making a gap and changing direction on three wheels in an instant. It's a;sp about seckond guessing what you Tuk Tuk driver is about to do and what gap he is going for. PS, this message comes with a health warning! Watching you guys trying to peel yourselves out of the Tuk Tuk at the end of the drive was seriously funny.
This thing needs an LSD more than any vehicle ever created. A diff would just transform the cornering. Easy fix for an MX5 rear end. Crazy machine !!!!
that poor ariel atom. amazing build but its quite obvious it is not suited for such a track. I reckon the stock amount of power would have been faster on that day.
The Stig, Ben Collins who I hero- worshippe and admired since being a teenager and as of it wasn't enough rolling a Bedford van , getting into a CCX without a back wing , takes on a modified Tuk tuk and an Ariel Atom with a 1000hp ...rather you than me...😂😂😂 ..I thought the turbos on an F40 are bad enough when it comes on boost
Stig: Hoonigan Edition!!!!! This was fantastic to watch. Only you could get me to form the sentence “I think that Tuk-Tuk sounded better than that Ariel Atom!” 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Lol I love the fact that you are using Mark McCann as a ballast boy love mark such a good guy hes new to the youtube game but his videos seem like he's been doing it for years . if you subscribe to anyone today Let It Be Mark McCann😊
with hayabusa engine you dont need to use clutch on upshift just prime the gear then lift off the throttle and straight back on without clutch and the gears will do its thing. it is a sequential gearbox without a auto cutout that makes it change while still on power, the tuck tuck does not have this device fitted to the bikes engine, most bikers add this device called a quick shifter which allows continuous on power gear shifts without having to lift off the throttle, you also can get auto blippers so you also dont have to use clutch on downshift but manually you can tap the throttle to do this without clutch.
Haha... This is class.! Well done, Ben Collins.! 😁 Most exiting 19 minutes 18 seconds ever. I was just waiting for mat Armstrong to come flying past on his bmx lol Definitely loved the Honda - 1000hp.! Wow.. Quality Ben
1:34... I REMEMBER THIS THANG!^^ It was on some show, like, 3 different dudes took it for a spin, they got into it with a Ford ST or sumn lol. That thing is WILD!! I get to see STIG DRIVE IT?! LET'S GO!! \O>
That ariel is effing insane. I dream to one day own an ariel in its stock configuration for its pure bad@$$ery. I imagine trying to drive this would be 0 to 60 to wall.
What a cracking video! Absolutely in stiches with you two in the tuktuk 😂 heard you over the tannoy at donington today selling your youtube stuff lol, you're an absolute legend tho love watching your vids i grew up watching top gear, loving the persona and the skills of the stig!
Would be fun to have the tuktuk sorted better for turning and with a limited slip so it could try and really make laps. And the Atom could do with a little smaller turbo. Would make less peak power, but would also be drive-able instead of just lag, wheel spin, and limiter.
Awesome video. I wonder, as a 55 year old novice in these things, if the tuk-tuk / Ape would have benefited with a bit of weight, in the bed, over the rear axle? Help keep the wheels planted.
Excellent driver, very friendly and conversational. I did not need to give any directions, very polite and experienced.
8/10
Cooler than a cucumber Adam, totally unfazed and clearly enjoying it. Ben, puckering slightly
You'd better find the other 2/10 before I see you
You mistyped 18/10 😂
you lads should hop down here to NZ, I have something that would give you RSI from checking the belts :)
Nothing better than seeing the man him self drive your car.. a true gentleman in person 👍🏼
I worry for you Rick get that turbo tweaked ;) great meeting you
I beg that you make some videos on your unbelievable machine. Maybe talking about the build process/why you decided this was something you wanted to try and pull off? This is just one of the coolest and most insane creations i've ever seen
That Atom is the epitome of ‘Your engineers were so preoccupied with whether they could, they didn’t stop to think if they should’. 😂
Someone managed to make an Ariel Atom less driveable than an Apé with a busa engine.. that deserves a medal
The conditions didn't help, the understeer was immense, but then you couldn't drive it quick enough to get any heat into the fronts because the boost would spin you off backwards so had to always mother it.
It would be tricky doing a straight quarter mile never mind corners.
It defiently needs some aero to help it.
@@jordanfc8181Yeah that’s a problem the normal Atom faces although it’s perfectly quick enough. I do wish people modified the aero properly though. That would beautiful!
More unhinged car videos please. That was a lot of fun to watch.
glad you enjoyed it - glad we survived - more to come!
Love seeing Ben and Misha in the same vid, it's like a crossover of your favourite cartoons as a kid ♥
lovely guy - more to follow there for sure
Gauge the speed by looking through the floor. Ha ha, love it!
Lads on Motor Addicts drove it a couple of months back, it's absolutely mental power
Telling Ben off for doing donuts.... lol.... I bet that would never happened at Dunsfold.
always getting in trouble
@@BenCollinsDrives Who told you off? Im sure it wasnt the owner of the car was it...... A track official?
@@BenCollinsDrives Maybe wear a white race suit and helmet next time. You know, to not draw attention.

Track official.
Gave him a sense of self importance by telling someone off AFTER they've already done something. Hahaha. Give him a pat on the back for such a job well done! 🤣🤣🤣
He is not the Stig, He is the Stig's Tuk tuk driving cousin! 😂
1000hp in an Atom is just insane!! Who looks at an Atom and thinks "Needs more power"? It looks so unassuming as well. Definitely love to see that thing on a track it can stretch it's legs on.
The Stig getting told off for doing donuts is hilarious.
The sound of the wastegate on the atom :DDDDD Sounds like stomping a trucks pneumatic brake
Misha saying never again was hella funny! LMAO
For example can ams had races in sunny desert having over 30 degrees heat and track surface being quite hot. It's totally different to drive on a cold tarmac in damp British isles. Way to go Stig!
What a dangerous, irresponsible use of a utility vehicle. I'm unsubbing if I dont see more content like this.
No different than what top gear use to do 😂
He drove that much better than mat Armstrong's car! 🤷♂️💁♂️🤣🤣

A vehicle so sketchy that I’d be scared even with the Stig at the wheel. Wouldn’t even trust the door to stay closed on that thing.
"This is all Mazda (MX5)", yup, that'll be all the bits that are all covered in rust!
I think you can "look forward to short life" in either one of those! Brave man. :)
Here for a good time, not a long time!

Thank you everyone. I loved that video from beginning to end.

Imagine being the fella who told the Stig off for doing a couple donuts 😂😂. He shouldve been privileged to see the master at work 😆😆😆
This kinda proves the pirelli advert.... "Power is nothing without control"
I thought I recognised that little circuit ! One of my locals. 40 mins up the road from me. A tad small for the Atom to stretch its legs properly though! Thanks for sharing. 🚘👍🏻
Sounds like the people running the place are not much fun.
4:38 literally made me "LOL" =)
Love seeing this car come past work , always can hear it instead of the gtrs that usually come past 😂
Crazy machine.
Showing your skills while showing those machines what they are built to do. I must say Mark McCann was close to having babies with the Oh hell handle.
I genuinely sat with my hands over my mouth from 4:00 to 8:00, I'm sitting in the comfort of my chair watching this and still terrified for Ben!
Poor mans Deltawing
