There no such thing as having been justified. The just shall live by faith. And remember that God breathed into Adam and he became a living soul that sinned. We walk by faith, not by sight. Past tense faith won’t please God that demands faithfulness. And if a man is not inspired of God then he is not born of the Spirit.
Miriam Reutter, You presented... Romans 5:1 Therefore having been justified by faith, we have peace with God. The Authorized Version reads... Romans 5:1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: One says “having been justified” the other, “being justified.” If we have been justified by faith, we no longer need faith to justify us. If we are being justified by faith, we must continue to walk by faith to remain justified. Romans 1:17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith. The righteous of God is revealed from faith to faith, not by faith that ceases because, “The just shall live by faith.” This must be true because although Jesus died to pay the price of our redemption, he was raised from the dead for our justification. This is because our justification depends on the eternal life of our Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus’ justification is his life. Our justification is his righteousness. For Jesus Christ fulfilled the law but we have not. So, we must continue to walk by faith to be justified by the life of Jesus. Thus it is shown that the preaching of the gospel must involve the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Once upon a time faith results in a once upon a time life.

We are justified by faith, but not alone: (Gal. 2:16) 16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified." (Gal 5:4)"They who are seeking to be justified by law have been separated from Christ, and they have fallen from grace." And the kind of works that justifies a man is "The Law of Christ" mentioned here in (Galatians 6:2) Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the "LAW of CHRIST". Paul also stressed that he is under Law of Christ when he said in (1 Corinthians 9:21) to those who are without law, as without law, though not being without the law of God but under the law of Christ, so that I might win those who are without law. We are instructed to do the "Law of Christ". Ephesians 2:10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for "Good Works", which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. II Timothy 3:17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every "Good Work". That is why James said this (James 2: 24) You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only. This explains why we are told to work out our salvation Philippians 2:12 Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; 13.for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure. And also, we must add to our faith these: II Peter 1: 5 But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, 6 to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, 7 to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love. 8 For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

This guy does not know Jesus. Paul taught that justification is by forgiveness, and thus, not by the works of the law alone. He says there is no justification by obeying law but John the Baptists parents were justified by their works (Lk 1;6) but not by works alone, they were justified by forgiveness. Man can obey God's law well enough to stay in his mercy, just not well enough to not also need mercy.
