I was able to complete this achievement on normal with just ONE skull using the some of the strategies from this guide. The skull I used was "So... Angry..." which doesn't have a multiplier but just gives more score for brute kills and I honestly just wanted to see what it did because I had never used it before, did not expect I'd get it first try. Thanks so much for the awesome guides!
(Not Ranting or crying, however)THIS MISSION WAS A NIGHTMARE, As always I follow your guides to the letter but for some reason everything was backwards in this game, I couldn’t follow your guide because I think the game caught on I was using it lol. All the enemies were mixed up/different spawns. Ammo was scarce to get because the creates that carry them would despawn if I would moved up a little bit so after a firefight I’d turn around and restock on ammo and the creates would be gone… but not the solid creates that don’t hold weapons… oh no those never despawned, only those that carry weapons. I only used the skulls in this guide. It took me 2 hours and 7 minutes to complete because I spent most of the time literally going back as far as I could for ammo anywhere and thank god for the Sputnik skull otherwise I wouldn’t be able to go backwards on the bridge. I had a 15406 score but because the game knew I was using your guide it gave me hell and I just passed with a par score of 1134!!!!! If I died one more time or lost -35 points I’d have to start over. And the end those DAMN INVISIBLE ELITES HID ON THE LAST BRIDGE BEFORE THE ENDING, THAT NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE AND WAS A BONUS SURPRISE WITH ONLY THE BARE MINIMUM PAR SCORE…What a nightmare, and I thought trying to kill the prophet was hard (was in the past without your guide. I wonder how bad it’s going to be trying to kill turtatus in the final mission great journey.

Silver...for future guides I would recommend at the very beginning of every video saying the difficulty and what skulls you have on. You tend to not say at all or wait until half way through. Also...alot of par scores/times one does not need to play on legendary. Some levels such as this are possible on Normal.

For anyone attempting this in 2021 you can do it easily on normal with said skulls on and maybe a couple extra that u are comfortable with. I finished the level in 22 minutes and just under 25000 points. Still followed this guide for the skips tho.

It would've taken me 2 hours to complete Gravemind on Legendary haha. I did it on Normal with 8 skulls and finished with about 28,000

Thanks for this comment lol I was so fixated on doing it on legendary I didnt think about trying it on normal. I got it done tonight.
Found it much easier to do it with:
Difficulty - Normal
Skulls - Fog, Famine, Catch, Jacked, Thunderstorm
Got it done in maybe an hour after tuning these settings. Use the same strategies from this video in a combination with the par-time speedrun video and you'll be sweet.
I used your strat minus the Fog skull and it got it first attempt
im so glad they toned down the par scores this time around. CE par scores are actual hell for a lot of levels
This is easily the hardest mission in any Halo game. I've played each Halo on Legendary multiple times, but I absolutely hate this level. I'm doing par score right now and this is absolutely miserable. I get right to about your 15 minute mark (in my game it's at 1:00), and I get 0 score. My eyes will bleed out from pure rage on LASO I can already see it.

Imo cortana from halo 3 is the hardest mission
Heroic with skulls on will get you the par score no problem. MUCH less of a headache.
Okay 2022, after this being my last par scores you can do this on Normal I finished with 37k points. I had on catch, iron (save and quit when you die), jacked, that’s just wrong, and thunderstorm. Optional Boom, grunt funeral, piñata and Sputnik. Hope this helps
WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT PUT THE “THATS JUST WRONG” SKULL ON. As soon as you get down the lift you have 10s of needles, plasma pistols and tons of other crazy shit raining down on you. You won’t be get much past a step or two on the platform and you’ll lose all patience to fast. DO NOT PUT THAT SKULL ON OMFG
Just attempted it today without a guide and made that exact mistake 💀
The part @10:25 is being impossible for me. They turn around IMMEDIATELY. To make things worse, when I DID manage to kill both brutes, the sheer amount of plasma shots that engulfed me were ridiculous. It looked like a 4th of July Covenant style. I can't even get off the platform.
Sounds about right, that good ol’ fucked up Halo 2 Legendary…. just have to restart the whole level at that point 💥
The needler is super useful

And as always , gravemind has to take the gold medal for the longest lasting level on whatever you're doing it on : legendary , LASO, Par score, etc...
reaper15th Haha, yeah Gravemind is quite long as usual, lol. I think I'm getting better and more comfortable commentating just from having done it so much in the past year. I'm glad it's starting to come across as more energetic. My first videos are way more monotone and just aren't as good. Also, my new mic helped out a lot in the quality department, lol.

if you get the bottom marines first in the cells you could use the same trick as before where you camp at the lift
This guy thinks the needler is useless? It’s the most overpowered weapon in any halo game, hands down.
You can do this on normal difficulty and its way easier.

you did the first room in the most difficult way possible, you should have just used duel needlers.

Pretty much impossible on Legendary lol. You start the level and die 1sec after being able to move. Devs really didnt play test this level at all lol. Par Score I mean ofc
The fuck. Got to the last part of the level and the doors not opening...
so in this are we basicly going for the par time as wel or just the score
Airbourn Katana Par score, but oddly they decided to tie score to time. The better your time, the better your score will be so you want to find some kind of middle ground.
Does the score not drop after exceeding the par time when you choose non-competitive scoring?
Alex Oh The time multiplier is added at the end so you won't see the effect of the time multiplier until you get to the Post Game Carnage Report.
For me the easiest par score to get is Metropolis.
Got all apart from uprising and gravemind just playing the game normally. Think they all are pretty easy to get
I did it very very easy: normal with 8 skulls I die like 10 times and ended with 24k in 30 minutes tri it (sorry for my english)

You are using black magic to be casual walking through these AWFUL levels on legendary without dying with skulls on and not getting utterly pissed off
