He did one lone secular song I know of: probably via producer Michael Omartian, he connected with Donna Summer, and they recorded a terrific duet in 1983 called Love Has A Mind Of Its Own. Audio for that is on RUclips on several channels...Also look up some of Matt's live singing back in the day, which is often even more fiery than he was in the studio. I used to be quite evangelical, and am still a churchgoer; my brother is a professional musician in both church and popular settings. As for their divorces they used to answer such questions the way that their private lives of course influenced their creativity, but not in all cases and not so literary.

No not written about their splits as this was from the 1976 album Arrival. The couples personal relationships didnt end until between 1979 - 1980
