These are the consequences of being so privileged we got bored and had to desperately find something to be angry about... Even as ridiculous as an energy drink
well, Red Bull is owned by a nazi who uses it's profit to finance a tv channel that spreads nothing but far right propaganda (great replacement and all that)
There are political disputes over _pen color_
I was going to say you look like you swim in Monster Energy, then the clip started rolling.
As a transfem I kinda hate how a lot of the community is pushing some random brand energy drink. Well i gues in capitalism we need brands and commodification for our identity??
I read this like he was going to talk about the politics from the anime by the same name, Monster.
For context, I have been watching video essays on it and just binge watched the anime again for the third time.
Honey, if you’re following a subreddit for a commercial product like an energy drink, that is an addiction lmao. I don’t even do that with tea and I am a whole tea snob.
And why is he repping them so hard in all those posts he showed? Red flag, lol.

Aussie lemonade slaps
Definitely. Monster doesn’t have enough caffeine for me so if I drink one it’s only for the taste. It’s one of the best.
we dont even get them here in Australia, smh
Not-so-fun fact: the white Monster is also very popular in online ED communities.
That's wild because I thought too much caffeine contributed to ED. If it works for them I'm not going to knock it.😂
@@Chill-mm4pn I mean ED as in eating d*sorder 😅. Caffeine speeds up metabolism so young people with ED's tend to consume energy drinks in excess.
@@Chill-mm4pn ED stands for eating disorder, not erectile dysfunction. Stimulants like caffeine can suppress your appetite so people with eating disorders use monster to make starving tolerable
I didn't know it until I saw the title but this is my most anticipated youtube video of the year.
The opening is funnier than it should be
I bet Kav stores monsters in the commode of his toilet like homer simpson does with duff beer!
Stuff makes me sick. I could never drink any energy drink.
Most of them are basically just really caffeinated soda. Basically all of the ones with a colored can anyway. I’m a big fan of the teal ones (basically mango soda)
I don't know what my problem is but energy drinks make me sleepy.
@@bluester7177You're working that un-monster.

I had the video on in the background, and I could just hear you smile all the way trough :) Good to enjoy a little lighthearted fun in these dark times! Cheers,
Not my monster! I will always protect my monster no matter what (because transgender)🥺🩷
I am a tobacco smoker and caffene drinker and I really have to say that coffee and energy drinks are SO much more addictive than cigarettes!
consuming nicotine upregulates the liver enzyme that clears both nicotine and caffeine, so nicotine users require more caffeine to have the same effect
@@coolbugfacts1234 well thank you for the science lesson but this has no bearing on my original point, it just means I need even more of this highly addictive substance
Honestly, it’s niche topics such as this that get me to come back for every video. I really can’t think of any other channels that covers the intersections between internet culture and politics like he does.
Ugh oh, he made one about me...
as a construction worker, white monsters are the most popular drink by far
ah yeah I remember the animated red bull commercials
I need some pick me up during nightshifts as a nurse, so I have become a Monster drinker at 40, because as a diabetic I find their sugar free ones to be the best tasting sugar free energy drinks.
"I'm gonna be pissing out that monster" is a phrase I am going to start using from now on, independent of me drinking any energy drinks. 😆
I never knew it was a Monster subculture 😂 I just drink it before work. A blunt and a monster before work. Call that breakfast 😂 a lot of us Warehouse workers use it.
so does the pro ana community
Fellow warehouse worker here, I concur.❤
This is so hyper specific I love it
I know of a prominent LGBT content creator who used to show off which Monster drink she was enjoying for each video. But they did something heinous that she suddenly stopped, and has never mentioned them again, and told the audience she never will. She alluded that they didn't want her to advertise their product in her videos.
The longer this monster montage goes for is the harder i keep laighing, im sleep deprived but also this is great
kavernacle admitting that he gets lit on c4 has turned me parasocial. we're friends now
Millions Bubblegum flavour is basically like crack

There exists less video of me doing anything at all than of you doing something Monster Energy Drink related.
Every day provides fresh evidence that staying off social media is one of the best choices i've made
Holy crap! Kavernacle having an ENTIRE monster drink album was not on my 2024 bingo card.
My dislike for energy drinks is 90% taste and 10% resentment for the fact that it was, seemingly arbitrarily, the "cool drink" for our generation over something like soda or coffee.
This is such a strange, random, and unexpected video, and I love it!
Lol on constriction sites in UK people drink a lot of monster. I never before questioned it 😅 13:38
Why does 1:03 make Kav look like he's from the mountains of western North Carolina? (all love to the hill folk)
20 years ago I used to drink Jager bombs. I got so drunk that I transcended pants and got dehydrated in a hot tub. Got super sick. The smell of energy drinks makes me sick to this day. The only Monster that I'll drink is their Tour Water because I haven't had a pop in 2 years and now sparkling water tastes very sweet. Did have to double check to make sure there wasn't any caffeine or any other stuff in there. One cup of coffee in the morning keeps me going all day.
Most of the people that I know that used to do a lot of Jager bombs are also not into energy drinks anymore
Man that intro raised my blood pressure
2:02 soda can cracking sound ASMR
"I'm not addicted to Monster"
"Anyway, I've been in the Monster subreddit for a few years now..."
All energy drinks are so disgusting. I drink coffee.
Coffee tastes worse. It's bitter.
@@Gille-mm1cr I have had a ton of different coffees but I still don't get the hype behind it I don't even care that it tastes bitter I just think warm drinks are icky can someone explain
been putting out straight bangers lately man🙌
Ya boys Patreon exists strictly to fund the Monster habit
Bro says he only chugs 2 or 3 a week tops. Pshhh Kav is so full of it. I bet he ate all them chocolate oranges too! Dood is a sugar freak I know one when I see one!
When my wife had our son, i got super addicted to Monsters(i was drinking like 3-4 of the giant twist-off cans a day at one point), but i never knew there was such a subculture surrounding this drink.
That simply CAN NOT be good for you 😰🤢🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮
I’d love to see you to do one of these for the splatoon community, it’s pretty interesting.
The smash cuts to Death Stranding were hilarious.
If you dont drink enough water to balance that out, your making your kidneys play elden ring
As an American transfem who used to work in construction around San Francisco- I can confirm this is true.
I have learnt that my love and collection of Monster is not strange, but a universal experience and I feel seen! Especially the final chapter because I really don't drink energy drinks to an insane degree, but I keep getting flack from people I know like I'm a secret alcoholic with no impulse control...
Some people are so obnoxious about others dietary preferences. I’ve gotten flack for struggling with drinking plain water, eating flamin hots, eating spaghettios, drinking Mountain Dew, etc, etc.
im drinking a monster as i watch this :) im an emo femboy leftist. my faves are super cola from japan, the coffee flavors, lemonade, original, and ultra paradise. ive never had the white one before but may look into it hmmm
Kav talking about 3 a week being alot for him, meanwhile I see my warehouse coworkers downing them like water
We be getting that mandatory overtime in lol.
I find your videos fascinating. I've never had an energy drink (I have other vices lol) but I watched this like I could relate. Always interesting. Thanks for sharing.
I'm usually on Tumblr and even when I try my best to acknowledge the humanity of zionists, still from a pro-palestine standpoint, I get called all sorts of slurs and insults by zionists. It seems to me they don't want to be talked to, so I give up being civil to them.
I remember the mid 2000s when I worked various factory sweatshop jobs I'd pound at least one Monster Assault every workday. Kinda just gave up on it then energy drinks in general about 10 years back and havent really thought back on it, so this is a fun listen. Homeboy is an obvious troll since since I still see that stuff all over the States.
Damn, that intro 😯 Kavernacle is a whole Monster Cult all by himself.
I felt awakened when I drank my first monster, I drank 80+ cans through the span of 2 and a half months after my first can.
I seen this absurd title and knew I had to watch 😂
My first day working sales for pure commission, my boss gave me my first ever Monster Energy drink and I made $350 that day. I wrote my first screenplay on Monster Energy drinks (it sucked, but at least I completed it). Monster Energy will always have a special place in my heart.
You know what they called Aussie Lemonade in Australia? Lemonade
This video came up in my home page after I cracked open a can of Monster Ultra
I haven’t had a Monster in years. Might get one tomorrow
Recovering user here throughout highschool. It gets better.
I was the monster guy, but I just liked them and was tired all the time. Still i spilled some on a guy out of anger, and that's my graduation quote because i didn't submit one. "Spilled monster on George"
Still it's a shameful past now behind me.
In America the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival was a yearly thing when I was in high school/college, but everyone who went to that drank Monster most of the time. Like every morning at school
I'm emo & I love the white & pink monster sm 🧍🏽♂️
Brother glad to see you're a fellow Monster enthusiast I love all the flavors the new Rio Punch is on point for sure
At least in the US, I remember when the white label Monster came out. The flavor text on the cans literally marketed them to Monster Girls looking for something light on calories and big on flavor, and at least where I grew up, Rockstar was incredibly popular and was already dominating the market in sugar-free options.
I used to be addicted to Monster for years until my heart finally had enough and started giving bigger warning signs so I stopped but god do I love Monster
I no longer drink any energy drinks. Oh boy was it a struggle for me to stop.
I only just started drinking Monsters, just to get thru some of my longer shifts. Nice to see the majority of drinkers (on reddit at least) are on the right side of history
I drink Monster Java. If I was rich, I'd probably die drinking it.
In the early days of java I'd get a few at a time and always end up with one that was curdled and Monster would send 4 free drink coupons for every 1 that was curdled.
I wish they'd do one in a sugar free variety. A coffee one without an entire meal's worth of carbs in one can would be great.
@@SaltySquirrelInnI agree. I stopped drinking sugar and now I can’t stand it outside of an occasional juice or milkshake. I also learned how much sugary drinks were causing me stomachaches (eating sugar doesn’t usually do this though). Had been drinking soda since like 10 and didn’t have perspective on how I felt without it
The typical breakfast of a forklift operator is a Monster, and an vape
The Ausie Lemonade was my favorite one of the sugar ones.
The monster aftertaste is so bad
Fellow addict here, I drink 1-2 white cans in the morning mostly because other zero variants are not always available here (I loved ginger and apple too). No other caffeine at all, so at least my heart attack won't be imediate. But thank you for the lore, a lot of stuff was news to me.
