Had Priscilla not taken over the estate after his death his beloved Graceland as we know it would have been sold off not long after Elvis passed away. He didn't pass away from a broken heart he passed from being worked to death by the Colonel his con artist manager and from Dr Nick over prescribing & contributing to the massive addiction and many years of drug abuse which Elvis didn't see because he thought what he doing was alright because he was following Dr.'s orders. Priscilla witnessed it and begged him to stop taking them but he said no ! She tolerated it until she couldn't watch the only man she had ever loved kill himself so she left ! It's a heartbreaking story and very sad for Lisa Marie for Elvis and Priscilla.
Yes it's heartbreaking. I was watching the Priscilla movie (which didn't go into that much detail about their later years together) at the cinema and an older couple watching was just commenting to their granddaughters after the movie how it was such a sad story. But yeah Priscilla has done a great job keeping Graceland in the family and also keeping Elvis legacy alive.
