We see in Wano that Kanjuro (one of the 9 shadows) was a traitor and essentially we were left with 1 less shadow. While Jinbei (who became a member in Whole Cake) actually met and joined with the whole crew in Wano and became the 9th shadow, which further strengthens the argument for Luffy and the Strawhats being the ones who were prophesied by Toki.

Fun video! While I'd LOVE to see this because it's been so long since we've seen all the Straw Hats together doing a massive attack, the pace at which we're moving, the current locations of the characters amidst the raid and the amount of stuff we still need to get through in Wano still leads me to believe that the Luffy/Yamato/Momo squad is most likely going to be the main squad fighting Kaido for Round 3 while Zoro and Sanji are dealing with King and Queen respectfully.
And Marco as the healer of the rooftop fighters, and big dragon momo thanks to shinobu. I can't wait for this fight and hope the arc ends before 2021 ends hopefully.

Tbh, it got better when they started Moira. The first half of it was fun but paced so slow because wanted to create a spooky atmosphere, yet we already know the secret so it's not that spooky anymore. When they met Oars, and the entire SH crew pummeling him, to Kuma fighting against SH crew, that shit fire.
My only gripes about it was that I think Moria was underutilized and that I wish Thriller Bark was scarier. I understand it was kind of a homage to horror classics like Frankenstein and Dracula, with some nodes to ancient mythologies and that fits more in line with the tone of One Piece. But the idea of having something like One Piece movie 6, which is one step under cartoon Bloodborne, as a whole arc is fucking awesome. Oda wouldn't even have to go that hard, it could be something more like Resident Evil.

Oden's major failure as a leader was being too overprotective of his retainers and therefore, not giving them enough room for personal growth the way Luffy has fostered the growth of the straw hats.
This is something that sounds smart for like a second, then your brain registers what you've read and you realise that it's absolute nonsense. 90% of Oden's screentime was spent trying to, or successfully, avoiding his retainers. He started off pushing them away, then he straight up left them on Wano, and then on his return he didn't tell them of his deal with Orochi, and when he was ready to fight he had no problem allowing them to join in. Oden's problem is literally the opposite of what you've said. This is why, outside of Morj and GLR, I avoid the OP fandom like a disease. Be realistic and actually pay attention to the story, dude.

I would rather that the Straw hats hold off Kaido while they wait for him to return to Onigashima, rather than Luffy loosing again (this also fits Thriller Bark more)
It could be more of a Kuma moment where Luffy defeats Kaido and passes out from exhaustion but Kaido wakes up after the dust has settled and while Luffy is still down the strawhats face Kaido.
Luffy shouldn’t take as long as we’re expecting to get up there 3 chapters of showing him getting up there with 10 or more chapters in between not showing luffy and I doubt queen etc will be done by then they will probably come help him after he’s reached there already and started fightinf

This actually makes a lot of sense if you consider the fact that most yonko crews can't even slow down their captain for example when big mom was on a rampage none of her sweet commanders could do shit to stop her, so it would make a lot of sense that the pirate kings crew can at least scar(zoro) and slow down the world's strongest creature thus kind of proving that they are the future pirate kings crew.
The thing i don't like about this theory is the fact that the Stawhats with the power of nakama will pull throug again, ( a very repetitive trend in Shonnen ), against what are probably the two most formidable pirates of the pirate world right now. For this story to feel real we need the Strawhats to lose something that is really important to them, because we cant win against a Yonkou crew without those kinds of stakes and consequences.
When Kaido and Big Mom teamed up I thought there would be some parallel to Thriller Bark. Back then Luffy defeated one Warlord but the crew failed to take care of the second one. I thought we might get something similar here but this time the crew can actually handle it. I don't think they will fight Kaido but maybe they will hold off Big Mom while Luffy is fight Kaido 1v1 and she will retreat temporarily after seeing Kaido being defeated. Edit: Another possibility, Luffy uses Gear 4 (new variant) or a new Gear and runs out of steam and will need the crew to buy him some time like it happened with Doffy.
@@valzy2267 I don't think she would be fleeing, more like "beast pirates have lost, the alliance is done, so I will regroup with my crew for now". And she would have fought against Kid and Law before that, so she would have spend a lot of energy by then. The point is to show that the crew can hold their own this time, so her retreating because she realizes that she can't take the whole crew by herself would make sense to me. But it's all guesses, who knows what Oda will do.
Also Kaido had said that he would need to defeat Luffy in front of his crew in order to kill their spirit as they wouldn't believe it otherwise. In reality if Luffy were to lose round 2 in front of the crew, we'd get to see a repeat of when the Straw Hats met Kuma. A fierce defense of their captain. Thus leading to Luffy being able to recover for Round 3. That and I still want an update to the 600 million berry jackpot
Nahh mate Kaido ain't winning again. The story is too dragged out now. If luffy loses again then a lot more chapters will go in building up for the next fight which will make Wano 200+ chapters. And that's not happening. Mark my word, Wano will end next year.

I'm surprised Morj went with this variation on how the Strawhats end up fighting Kaido. The video from way back when about Usopp getting kidnapped (a theory I personally really dig), Kaido's top subordinates being Zoans (quick recovery, some even getting back into the fight to help their captain), and now this theory...methinks intersecting all these ideas could make for one spectacular story.
This feels like a soft take back of the ‘raid ending in failure’ theory aha. I don’t see it happening if this happens, Straw Hat build up climaxing with Luffy defeating Kaido seems to be a fitting way to finish it all.

I like Kaido filling the Oars role with the crew holding him off until Luffy knocks him out. Then, Luffy is out for the count and Big Mom fills the Kuma role. This time the crew can take down Big Mom, with Zoro delivering the finishing blow. If each East Blue-Straw Hat gets to have their end-game arc where they play a huge supporting role --> Whole Cake was a Sanji centric arc, Elbaf will be Usopp centric arc, Laugh Tale will be a Nami centric arc, and Zoro will have his arc in Wano?
I doubt beat up straw hat can win against Big Mom. You are underestimating the Yonko. Maybe SH can overcome Big Mom's Soru Soru fruit 'life or death' skill relating to their faith in Luffy. But I don't think they can win against Big Mom if they are so beat up.Especially Zoro whose medicine has time limit.

There are lots of interesting parallels between the two groups as well: *[X]* Inuarashi & Nekomamushi: The two strongest fighters who have a rivalry and constantly bicker with one being a swordsman and the other more of a brawler (Zoro & Sanji). *[X]* Asura Doji: Comparable in strength to but ultimately a bit short of the above two (like when they go Sulong) and the former leader of his own band of criminals with a rotund build. (Jinbe) *[X]* Denjiro: Blue-haired, pompadour sporting man who used to lead his own band of gangsters ("Family") while hiding his identity from his enemies for many years using an alias. (Franky) *[X]* Kawamatsu: A non-human creature ("monster") who was mistreated and not accepted by the rest of society but was finally accepted by his eventual leader and _crew._ (Chopper) The other parallels are a little more loose like how Izo, whom you can see as a stand-in for Kanjuro, is a sniper like Usopp whilst Kanjuro is a skilled artist much like Usopp as well and span the ultimate lie on his crew for years (a more extreme version but a liar like Usopp) or how the scabbards have a more espionage type character, albeit more gaggy, in the form of Raizo like the Straw Hats have Robin. I feel like Kinemon is meant to *somewhat* loosely connect to Brook as well. They're opposite elements; ice & fire, and Brook was the first person to encounter and fight him if memory serves me right. That ultimately leaves Nami and Kiku where the parallels are pretty much nonexistent except for them being the girls of the group, though I acknowledge that Kiku is meant to be trans. It's interesting too that Kiku kept being connected strongly to Kanjuro (being the one we thought would finish him off at first) and how Izo is her brother given that Nami tends to be closely tied to Usopp, like during this arc. Then the numbers align, of course. The Straw Hats, once you discount Luffy, are 9 people strong this arc like *The Nine Scabbards.* There is also the really cool fact that when you count both Izo and Kanjuro among Oden's disciples you get a total of *10* disciples rather than 9 which possibly foreshadows the Straw Hats ending the story with 10 members to parallel Blackbeards' 10 Titanic Captains which would also be in line with when Luffy said that he'd someday want at least 10 crew members.
I think the difference in strength is way too large for any of the crew, save for Luffy Zoro and maybe Sanji, to even put up the bare minimum needed to protect Luffy, Kaido could easily one shot early Wano Luffy, what makes you think he couldn’t just as easily one shot the already beaten and tired crew? If this does happen I feel it will brief and they will fail, and thats when the raid will fail.
I was thinking a similar thought, but one that went on a parallel line of thinking. I was thinking that while Luffy faced off against Kaido (maybe alongside Marco, Momo, and Yamato), the rest of the Straw Hats would hold Big Mom at bay. Showing that together, they are equivalent to one Yonko.
You make a lot of sense as always and it would be fun to see but tbh man it won't sit well with people knowing that the likes of Usopp and Nami dealt damage to the strongest creature in the world amongst all living things...
How does Big Mom fit into this though? In Thriller Bark, the Oars vs the entire crew fight starts with Oars fighting independently while Luffy's position is unknown and Moria is still safe in his tower. Then Moria joins in and prevents the Strawhats from stopping Oars, gradually taking them out of the fight. Luffy returns with a power boost, allowing him to briefly fight Oars solo, and then when that runs out he takes down Oars with the assistance of the since-recovered crew. Moria then takes on a final form, and Luffy fights him alone. To me, that sounds like a template for fighting Big Mom and Kaido, with Big Mom playing Oars' role and Kaido taking Luffy's. We also had some foreshadowing of this with the fight at the end of Whole Cake Island, when a portion of the crew had to fend off Big Mom and managed to hold their own rather impressively.
This is a good question. I've wondered for awhile whether Big Mom is supposed to play a role akin to Oars or Kuma. It's tough to say since she matches both quite well 🤔
Ever since onigashima I was just hoping they would all battle kaido, I doubt oda is gonna miss the chance to show off some more new team attacks on a big boss.
Why are so many people bashing him about the raid failure theory? Even it does not come true, anyone can give a theory and be standing with it. Countless people have given various absurd theories, which people enjoy, so what's the harm of him stating his own opinions based on his analysis? It is not right to keep criticizing and labeling him as a fool. And for one situation there can be many possible choices, paths and outcomes.
There are parallels between blackbeard pirates and strawhats. Both take same route in grand line paradise part. Blackbeard defeat 2 yonko commanders then become a yonko, luffy defeat 2 yonko commanders and then consider a yonko by people. If you remember blackbeard defeat his first yonko ( highest bounty at that time) with the help of his crew. And luffy will defeat his first yonko ( highest bounty this time) with the help of his crew
I could see Luffy fighting Kaido and running out of haki just to have the crew come in and cover him for however long he needs like the citizens did in Dresrossa. Then they start getting beat up right when Luffy gets his Haki back to finish the fight and that’s that 🤷🏼♀️ Seems very One Piece honestly
10 Straw Hats + Kidd, Killer + Law + Yamato + Marco+ Scabbards + Drake + Orochi + CP0. That math ain't adding up, even if you say the supernovas and seabirds don't count but we still Yamato & Drake & Marco even if you don't want to count them we still have 10 straw hats so what are you trying to say?
Ehhh I'm a Zoro fan but Zoro's body conditions right now is a ticking time bomb. I believe he can beat King but after that he is most likely out of the fight cause of how hard he'll have to push himself in that fight. Marco is there to handle King and Perospero most likely

@@mohamedabdallah2565 Yeah but from a story perspective Enma is only really relevant to Wano arc since it is the only blade that ever cut Kaido and being a legacy from Oden, it would be fitting to be the firts blade that becomes a black blade during a fight with Kaido, after that, Enma won't have that much impact on the story as a whole while Kuina's on the other hand is not only Zoro's main sword out of the three, but is also his most precisous since it represents both his and Kuina's ambition to become the Worlds Strongest Swordsman wich makes more sense to me for it to be the last one to turn black.
The way you laid it out, I’d really enjoy! Would be a nice culmination too of seeing them all get their main fights/moments and then the big group battle with Luffy coming in for the final 1v1 and the win

I agree with you. When it comes to a bond or relationships it's a give and take between both parties...it's ok to be a little selfish and greedy or be afraid to ask for help cause you would be giving others you problems or burdens but you must have balance by not being too selfish and greed or too scared/self sacrificing to ask for the help you do need in the end no one will be happy. Since taking too much the other person feel like not a person but a tool and taking too little puts too much stress etc on the one person and the other person may not feel needed or trusted which could cause a rift between them plus they feel more hurt cause the other person they care about is suffering for their sake when they don't need too.
Gone repost an old theory on won't be the Sh's and luffy isn't even one of the 9 shadows. Explaining toki's prophecy: During the climax of odens flashback we got toki's prophecy, in which she predicted the future. What she exactly meant is still unclear, but il give my 2 cents on what she said. In the beginning she mentions "the moon unaware of the dawn". This most likely is in reference to the people of wano as the moon, since the people of wano have been link to the moon. The names of major families are all linked to the moon, and wano has been in a long night (kaido and orochi in power, closed off). The promised to be fulfilled references to the opening of wano's borders, made clear by oden. Now we get to the interesting part. "And cast 9 shadows on the night woven of 20 years and you shall know the brilliance of the dawn". The night woves of 20 years is just the result of the 20 years of pain wano has felt. Shadows exist because of the existence of the sun, so wano will have it's own sun/dawn and that dawn will create the 9 shadows. I intemperate this as 1 person, the dawn will inspire 9 others, the shadows, to free wano from it's darkness. Importend here is that the shadows are cast during the night woven of 20 years, the raid, **not** that they will free wano on that day. So i predict that during the raid Luffy (the dawn) will inspire 9 other people, the 9 shadows, to fight along his to take down the endless that has taken over wano. Since the night woven of 20 years just inspire the 9 shadows and doesn't mention that it's the day they will take the night down, the raid will fail, and the 9 shadows + the dawn will take kaido down an other day. Those 9 shadows will all be people who are inspired by luffy in some special way (momo, zoro, ...). It's also likely that 9 shadows will take down Orochi while the dawn takes down kaido. Since orochi is more the darkness that looms over wano that kaido.
@@subodhgarg5531 I think of it more like this personally, wano is a closed-off country, so having the people of wano win and take down kaido will instill faith once more and also allow momo to take the role of shogun with the 9 follow behind him at least that's how i see it
Honestly even if they show up, what help would they provide? Only conquerers haki is potent enough to seriously harm Kaido, and given how liitle damage the likes of Usopp dealt to Page one, or Chopper against Queen, except for Zoro, Sanji and Jinbei, the crew will be pretty useless there.
We’ve seen how strategies can work though in Onepiece even without Haki. Law, Kid luffy and Zoro were able to come up with a plan to separate Big Mom from Kaido with a strategy that would have killed her. And that’s without conquerors Haki. And Strategy has been used effectively before. This isn’t Hunter x Hunter so it’s not typical but it’s not unprecedented
If the end of Wano is going to parallel the end of Thriller Bark (which I would love because it has been too long since we had combo attacks) then perhaps Blackbeard will show up the same way Kuma showed up when they were unprepared.
-Luffy mentioned Oars when he was about to knockout a number - Franky talking about a new "Kaido killing machine". Could be a reference to the docking system. -Yamato joining in the fight could also mirror Brook when he wasn't an official member but still participated.
I definitely agree with you! And as I think about it, Luffy is not even on Onigashima right now, but all the Strawhats are being freed up from their fights, only Sanji is currently in a one on one. We all expect someone to step in to assist/save Yamato. I’m thinking the crew shows up and saves Yamato then fights Kaido, as Momo brings Luffy back to Onigashima.

After the defeat of the beast pirates, we're gonna see King be the person to take away their crew which will be interrupted by cp0 cause they will definitely want to eliminate a yonko crew... I mean look at King vs Marco, there's no motivation in Marco defeating King storywise... My guess is that king and Marcos battle will be a draw and then king gets away to escape with the crew...So get ready for king taking the role of blueno with cp9

Ever since the 9 shadows thing I've been thinking this could be the case. My main idea was that in the parallel arc to Wano, Thriller Bark, Luffy saved his crew because of what they couldn't do. The Straw Hats never paid back that debt and I think there's greater emphasis for the CREW to prove its greatness because they have to prove they're capable of Luffy's potential Yonko status. A Yonko wouldn't exist without a great crew and what better time to cement that than in the arc where a Yonko needs to be brought down?
Dang Morj I've been talking about this for weeks and noone even considers it but it looks obvious to me with all the SH being done with their individual fights (except sanji and zoro) who I think will finish soon

We all watch morj and know this isn't the case. But I am saying that a lot of the strawhats will suffer the same issue Luffy did before he learnt ryou, he couldn't even touch kaido. I don't see how most of the strawhats except zoro will be able to do damage to kaido let alone survive. Jinbe can damage him from the inside like he did to Luffy Zoro can obviously Sanji ????? The problem with Strawhats is, everyone have their own power that unique, no one could think that Chopper, Nami, Brook, and Jimbei could hold and damage Big Mom, and we have a random link which is Big Mom, we never know what she will do, and Strawhats could take an advantage of that to help them face Kaido.
I can just see a cool moment from sanji saving yamato from getting killed by kaido and simping over her like if strawhats vs kaido happens iam sure we will see something like that

I was actually thinking about the Oars and Kaido connection, and the Straw Hats being the nine. But you explained it way better and solidified it more by drawing a connection with Oden... this was the epic One Piece theory! I love it!!!!
I think (personally) that Luffy here may actually get a 1 vs 1, where he achieves a lot of success, like that of Nightmare Luffy against Oars, after the crew hold him off. However, I think the final battle would be the Straw Hats vs Kaido, with Luffy still dealing the finishing blow

Luffy faces Kaido in a much more even fight while protecting Momo as he holds up onigashima, Luffy falls short for one or two more attacks like in Dressrosa against Doflamingo, SH crew plus Yamato and Carrot steps up to proctect Luffy and Momo while Luffy recovers, they put up a amazing fight, Luffy recovers and steps back in to finish job while they protect Momo. and all of this in a full audieance in wano and the world.
I like this kinda idea because Luffy would become more like roger, I forgot who said this but I think it goes like “when roger was fighting for his friends… he was like a devil”. Image when if luffy gets back to the roof top and luffy sees his whole crew knock out or the ground close to being unconscious and he goes berserk but he would still able to use future sight and conquerors coating to a new level (just the coating).imagine if luffy kinda becomes like shanks where he’s haki is constantly coming out of him(kinda like shanks goes to whitebeard ship)but luffy’s haki wouldn’t as strong as shanks haki..like the beginning of that.
Maybe a fire festival spirit power up similar to nightmare luffy against moria. Kiado has killed tons of people in wano, if the spirits of the dead do appear as the legend says, its reasonable, could even be connected to the voice of all things for luffy to acquire said power up
God I hope so, I think Luffy is going to push him some more until he realises he can't do it alone after all and summons the crew for the last push, would be epic af.
Love this theory and the parallels between the scabbards and the strawhats, it makes a lot of sense! However my only issue with it is the monstruous difference in power between Kaido and Luffy's crew, and the mere fact that most of the strawhats cannot even touch Kaido since they don't have armament haki nor sea stone weapons. The weaker ones (Usopp, Chopper, Nami and even Brook, Franky and Robin) would probably get defeated in an instant, which wouldn't really make for a compelling team fight against the big bad before Luffy comes in and saves the day...
while this makes a lot of sense thematically, I just dont see it happening from a power scaling perspective... general shogun is damaged, robin is exhausted, and sanji won't be in great condition after fighting a second commander. no one other than zoro even has an attack that can remotely hurt Kaido. humble reminder that kaido one shot act 1 Luffy, and aside from the monster trio + jimbei, no one is even comparable to him
You dont get it, 1) oda will just pull any okie doke he wants, just like the bull when defeating moria the moment he powered up. So yes kiado should speed blitz most of them but plot will protect them. 2) franky worked on a kiado killing weapon witch probably has ties to an ancient weapon pluton. 3) kiado is weaked significantly, hes been taking hits all night. And like orars they will strategically exploit said weaknesses 4) my final hope is they still loose but big mom betrays kiado or outside interference exploits the heavily weaked kiado to remove the strongest creature in the world, like moria and black beard coming for revenge.
I can see them attacking all together in order to make an opening so Luffy can deal the final blow... but yeah, them fighting Kaido right now would be impossible IMO. Likewise, this is also why the SH cannot lose now. They had the Minks with Sulong, All the Samurai, Marco, BS power ups, Tama and on and on... those resources are now "already in play" and can't be used "next time". (sure ,there is the grand fleet, and I believe they may show up...but only at the end..when big mom tries to pick on the weakened Luffy and they go "no no no, not today" and she has to leave.)

I think the last fight need to be Luffy, Yamato and Marco (with the company of Momonosuke) vs Kaido, as a reference to the Momotaro myth. Edit: Thinking again, this doesn't necessarily needs to be the LAST fight, but a moment.
Why would Marco help in the final battle against Kaido? He isn’t there for Kaido And Yamato is already getting a fight with Kaido and it’s clear she isn’t going to last much longer against him And momo can’t do anything and would probably piss his pants being there

@@raimamezuku8558 Ok, so I'm basing this on the Momotaro myth, the protagonist has his village under the control of a Oni, so he leaves in order to find help, with his kibi dangos, he befriends a monkey, a dog and a bird (forgot what type it was) and together they defeat the Oni. The Wano arc it's basically a reference to this myth, Momotaro is Momonosuke, the Monkey is Luffy, the Dog is Yamato, the Bird would be Marco and the Oni is Kaido. Marco despite not being there for Kaido, mentioned to Ace (in a flashback moment) that he would like to help take down Kaido do avenge Oden, and in the last two chapters Luffy asks Momo to fly him to Onigashima, and Momo asks to Shinobu to turn him in an adult. There's already a setup for Momo, Luffy and Yamato to meet in the roof top, and all we need is Marco there (since Zoro is gaining a fast recovery he'll fight King, so we can have his 1v1 fight against another swordsman, and the 1st commander of the beast pirates facing the 1st commander of the future pirate King). And with Marco there using his regenerative abilities to help Luffy and Yamato they'd have a very good chance against Kaido.

A parallel to thriller bark in the last chapter is when the other group of pirates on thriller bark filled Luffy with souls to get him ready for the final battle and now the heart pirates along with caribou are filling Luffy up with food so he can go back and fight for the final battle.
Agree, I think it will be inverted from thriller bark. SH pirates will beat Kaido as Toki prophecies(which also ZKK theory might come true). and another enemies will come but this time Luffy failed to protect them.

We see in Wano that Kanjuro (one of the 9 shadows) was a traitor and essentially we were left with 1 less shadow. While Jinbei (who became a member in Whole Cake) actually met and joined with the whole crew in Wano and became the 9th shadow, which further strengthens the argument for Luffy and the Strawhats being the ones who were prophesied by Toki.

Fun video! While I'd LOVE to see this because it's been so long since we've seen all the Straw Hats together doing a massive attack, the pace at which we're moving, the current locations of the characters amidst the raid and the amount of stuff we still need to get through in Wano still leads me to believe that the Luffy/Yamato/Momo squad is most likely going to be the main squad fighting Kaido for Round 3 while Zoro and Sanji are dealing with King and Queen respectfully.

Tbh, it got better when they started Moira. The first half of it was fun but paced so slow because wanted to create a spooky atmosphere, yet we already know the secret so it's not that spooky anymore.

My only gripes about it was that I think Moria was underutilized and that I wish Thriller Bark was scarier. I understand it was kind of a homage to horror classics like Frankenstein and Dracula, with some nodes to ancient mythologies and that fits more in line with the tone of One Piece. But the idea of having something like One Piece movie 6, which is one step under cartoon Bloodborne, as a whole arc is fucking awesome. Oda wouldn't even have to go that hard, it could be something more like Resident Evil.

He started off pushing them away, then he straight up left them on Wano, and then on his return he didn't tell them of his deal with Orochi, and when he was ready to fight he had no problem allowing them to join in.

This actually makes a lot of sense if you consider the fact that most yonko crews can't even slow down their captain for example when big mom was on a rampage none of her sweet commanders could do shit to stop her, so it would make a lot of sense that the pirate kings crew can at least scar(zoro) and slow down the world's strongest creature thus kind of proving that they are the future pirate kings crew.
Considering that Morj is dabbling in movie making I now have hope that we will see a remake of "The Great Dictator" with him in the main role.
The thing i don't like about this theory is the fact that the Stawhats with the power of nakama will pull throug again, ( a very repetitive trend in Shonnen ), against what are probably the two most formidable pirates of the pirate world right now. For this story to feel real we need the Strawhats to lose something that is really important to them, because we cant win against a Yonkou crew without those kinds of stakes and consequences.

When Kaido and Big Mom teamed up I thought there would be some parallel to Thriller Bark. Back then Luffy defeated one Warlord but the crew failed to take care of the second one. I thought we might get something similar here but this time the crew can actually handle it. I don't think they will fight Kaido but maybe they will hold off Big Mom while Luffy is fight Kaido 1v1 and she will retreat temporarily after seeing Kaido being defeated.
Edit: Another possibility, Luffy uses Gear 4 (new variant) or a new Gear and runs out of steam and will need the crew to buy him some time like it happened with Doffy.
I doubt Big Mom would retreat. Girl's a beast, and when she smells blood she's gonna go for it regardless of what situation she might be in.

@@valzy2267 I don't think she would be fleeing, more like "beast pirates have lost, the alliance is done, so I will regroup with my crew for now". And she would have fought against Kid and Law before that, so she would have spend a lot of energy by then. The point is to show that the crew can hold their own this time, so her retreating because she realizes that she can't take the whole crew by herself would make sense to me. But it's all guesses, who knows what Oda will do.
Also Kaido had said that he would need to defeat Luffy in front of his crew in order to kill their spirit as they wouldn't believe it otherwise.
In reality if Luffy were to lose round 2 in front of the crew, we'd get to see a repeat of when the Straw Hats met Kuma. A fierce defense of their captain. Thus leading to Luffy being able to recover for Round 3.
That and I still want an update to the 600 million berry jackpot

I'm surprised Morj went with this variation on how the Strawhats end up fighting Kaido. The video from way back when about Usopp getting kidnapped (a theory I personally really dig), Kaido's top subordinates being Zoans (quick recovery, some even getting back into the fight to help their captain), and now this theory...methinks intersecting all these ideas could make for one spectacular story.
This feels like a soft take back of the ‘raid ending in failure’ theory aha. I don’t see it happening if this happens, Straw Hat build up climaxing with Luffy defeating Kaido seems to be a fitting way to finish it all.

I like Kaido filling the Oars role with the crew holding him off until Luffy knocks him out. Then, Luffy is out for the count and Big Mom fills the Kuma role. This time the crew can take down Big Mom, with Zoro delivering the finishing blow. If each East Blue-Straw Hat gets to have their end-game arc where they play a huge supporting role --> Whole Cake was a Sanji centric arc, Elbaf will be Usopp centric arc, Laugh Tale will be a Nami centric arc, and Zoro will have his arc in Wano?

There are lots of interesting parallels between the two groups as well:
*[X]* Inuarashi & Nekomamushi: The two strongest fighters who have a rivalry and constantly bicker with one being a swordsman and the other more of a brawler (Zoro & Sanji).
*[X]* Asura Doji: Comparable in strength to but ultimately a bit short of the above two (like when they go Sulong) and the former leader of his own band of criminals with a rotund build. (Jinbe)
*[X]* Denjiro: Blue-haired, pompadour sporting man who used to lead his own band of gangsters ("Family") while hiding his identity from his enemies for many years using an alias. (Franky)
*[X]* Kawamatsu: A non-human creature ("monster") who was mistreated and not accepted by the rest of society but was finally accepted by his eventual leader and _crew._ (Chopper)
The other parallels are a little more loose like how Izo, whom you can see as a stand-in for Kanjuro, is a sniper like Usopp whilst Kanjuro is a skilled artist much like Usopp as well and span the ultimate lie on his crew for years (a more extreme version but a liar like Usopp) or how the scabbards have a more espionage type character, albeit more gaggy, in the form of Raizo like the Straw Hats have Robin.
I feel like Kinemon is meant to *somewhat* loosely connect to Brook as well. They're opposite elements; ice & fire, and Brook was the first person to encounter and fight him if memory serves me right. That ultimately leaves Nami and Kiku where the parallels are pretty much nonexistent except for them being the girls of the group, though I acknowledge that Kiku is meant to be trans. It's interesting too that Kiku kept being connected strongly to Kanjuro (being the one we thought would finish him off at first) and how Izo is her brother given that Nami tends to be closely tied to Usopp, like during this arc.
Then the numbers align, of course. The Straw Hats, once you discount Luffy, are 9 people strong this arc like *The Nine Scabbards.* There is also the really cool fact that when you count both Izo and Kanjuro among Oden's disciples you get a total of *10* disciples rather than 9 which possibly foreshadows the Straw Hats ending the story with 10 members to parallel Blackbeards' 10 Titanic Captains which would also be in line with when Luffy said that he'd someday want at least 10 crew members.
I think the difference in strength is way too large for any of the crew, save for Luffy Zoro and maybe Sanji, to even put up the bare minimum needed to protect Luffy, Kaido could easily one shot early Wano Luffy, what makes you think he couldn’t just as easily one shot the already beaten and tired crew? If this does happen I feel it will brief and they will fail, and thats when the raid will fail.

I was thinking a similar thought, but one that went on a parallel line of thinking. I was thinking that while Luffy faced off against Kaido (maybe alongside Marco, Momo, and Yamato), the rest of the Straw Hats would hold Big Mom at bay. Showing that together, they are equivalent to one Yonko.

In Thriller Bark, the Oars vs the entire crew fight starts with Oars fighting independently while Luffy's position is unknown and Moria is still safe in his tower. Then Moria joins in and prevents the Strawhats from stopping Oars, gradually taking them out of the fight. Luffy returns with a power boost, allowing him to briefly fight Oars solo, and then when that runs out he takes down Oars with the assistance of the since-recovered crew. Moria then takes on a final form, and Luffy fights him alone.
To me, that sounds like a template for fighting Big Mom and Kaido, with Big Mom playing Oars' role and Kaido taking Luffy's. We also had some foreshadowing of this with the fight at the end of Whole Cake Island, when a portion of the crew had to fend off Big Mom and managed to hold their own rather impressively.
This is a good question. I've wondered for awhile whether Big Mom is supposed to play a role akin to Oars or Kuma. It's tough to say since she matches both quite well 🤔
Straw Hats vs Oars is still my favorite fight in the series to this day. I would love to see a turned-up version.
Ever since onigashima I was just hoping they would all battle kaido, I doubt oda is gonna miss the chance to show off some more new team attacks on a big boss.

Why are so many people bashing him about the raid failure theory? Even it does not come true, anyone can give a theory and be standing with it. Countless people have given various absurd theories, which people enjoy, so what's the harm of him stating his own opinions based on his analysis? There are parallels between blackbeard pirates and strawhats.
Both take same route in grand line paradise part. Blackbeard defeat 2 yonko commanders then become a yonko, luffy defeat 2 yonko commanders and then consider a yonko by people.
If you remember blackbeard defeat his first yonko ( highest bounty at that time) with the help of his crew. And luffy will defeat his first yonko ( highest bounty this time) with the help of his crew
I could see Luffy fighting Kaido and running out of haki just to have the crew come in and cover him for however long he needs like the citizens did in Dresrossa. Then they start getting beat up right when Luffy gets his Haki back to finish the fight and that’s that 🤷🏼♀️ Seems very One Piece honestly

@@mohamedabdallah2565 Yeah but from a story perspective Enma is only really relevant to Wano arc since it is the only blade that ever cut Kaido and being a legacy from Oden, it would be fitting to be the firts blade that becomes a black blade during a fight with Kaido, after that, Enma won't have that much impact on the story as a whole while Kuina's on the other hand is not only Zoro's main sword out of the three, but is also his most precisous since it represents both his and Kuina's ambition to become the Worlds Strongest Swordsman wich makes more sense to me for it to be the last one to turn black.

I agree with you. When it comes to a bond or relationships it's a give and take between both parties...it's ok to be a little selfish and greedy or be afraid to ask for help cause you would be giving others you problems or burdens but you must have balance by not being too selfish and greed or too scared/self sacrificing to ask for the help you do need in the end no one will be happy. Since taking too much the other person feel like not a person but a tool and taking too little puts too much stress etc on the one person and the other person may not feel needed or trusted which could cause a rift between them plus they feel more hurt cause the other person they care about is suffering for their sake when they don't need too.

Explaining toki's prophecy:
During the climax of odens flashback we got toki's prophecy, in which she predicted the future. What she exactly meant is still unclear, but il give my 2 cents on what she said.
In the beginning she mentions "the moon unaware of the dawn". This most likely is in reference to the people of wano as the moon, since the people of wano have been link to the moon. The names of major families are all linked to the moon, and wano has been in a long night (kaido and orochi in power, closed off).
The promised to be fulfilled references to the opening of wano's borders, made clear by oden.
Now we get to the interesting part.
"And cast 9 shadows on the night woven of 20 years and you shall know the brilliance of the dawn".
The night woves of 20 years is just the result of the 20 years of pain wano has felt.
Shadows exist because of the existence of the sun, so wano will have it's own sun/dawn and that dawn will create the 9 shadows. I intemperate this as 1 person, the dawn will inspire 9 others, the shadows, to free wano from it's darkness. Importend here is that the shadows are cast during the night woven of 20 years, the raid, **not** that they will free wano on that day.
So i predict that during the raid Luffy (the dawn) will inspire 9 other people, the 9 shadows, to fight along his to take down the endless that has taken over wano. Since the night woven of 20 years just inspire the 9 shadows and doesn't mention that it's the day they will take the night down, the raid will fail, and the 9 shadows + the dawn will take kaido down an other day. Those 9 shadows will all be people who are inspired by luffy in some special way (momo, zoro, ...).
It's also likely that 9 shadows will take down Orochi while the dawn takes down kaido. Since orochi is more the darkness that looms over wano that kaido.

Honestly even if they show up, what help would they provide? Only conquerers haki is potent enough to seriously harm Kaido, and given how liitle damage the likes of Usopp dealt to Page one, or Chopper against Queen, except for Zoro, Sanji and Jinbei, the crew will be pretty useless there.
We’ve seen how strategies can work though in Onepiece even without Haki. Law, Kid luffy and Zoro were able to come up with a plan to separate Big Mom from Kaido with a strategy that would have killed her. And that’s without conquerors Haki. And Strategy has been used effectively before. This isn’t Hunter x Hunter so it’s not typical but it’s not unprecedented
If the end of Wano is going to parallel the end of Thriller Bark (which I would love because it has been too long since we had combo attacks) then perhaps Blackbeard will show up the same way Kuma showed up when they were unprepared.

Ever since the 9 shadows thing I've been thinking this could be the case. My main idea was that in the parallel arc to Wano, Thriller Bark, Luffy saved his crew because of what they couldn't do. The Straw Hats never paid back that debt and I think there's greater emphasis for the CREW to prove its greatness because they have to prove they're capable of Luffy's potential Yonko status. A Yonko wouldn't exist without a great crew and what better time to cement that than in the arc where a Yonko needs to be brought down?

I like this kinda idea because Luffy would become more like roger, I forgot who said this but I think it goes like “when roger was fighting for his friends… he was like a devil”. Love this theory and the parallels between the scabbards and the strawhats, it makes a lot of sense! However my only issue with it is the monstruous difference in power between Kaido and Luffy's crew, and the mere fact that most of the strawhats cannot even touch Kaido since they don't have armament haki nor sea stone weapons. The weaker ones (Usopp, Chopper, Nami and even Brook, Franky and Robin) would probably get defeated in an instant, which wouldn't really make for a compelling team fight against the big bad before Luffy comes in and saves the day...
while this makes a lot of sense thematically, I just dont see it happening from a power scaling perspective... general shogun is damaged, robin is exhausted, and sanji won't be in great condition after fighting a second commander. no one other than zoro even has an attack that can remotely hurt Kaido. humble reminder that kaido one shot act 1 Luffy, and aside from the monster trio + jimbei, no one is even comparable to him
You dont get it,
1) oda will just pull any okie doke he wants, just like the bull when defeating moria the moment he powered up. So yes kiado should speed blitz most of them but plot will protect them.
2) franky worked on a kiado killing weapon witch probably has ties to an ancient weapon pluton.
3) kiado is weaked significantly, hes been taking hits all night. And like orars they will strategically exploit said weaknesses
4) my final hope is they still loose but big mom betrays kiado or outside interference exploits the heavily weaked kiado to remove the strongest creature in the world, like moria and black beard coming for revenge.
I can see them attacking all together in order to make an opening so Luffy can deal the final blow... but yeah, them fighting Kaido right now would be impossible IMO.
Likewise, this is also why the SH cannot lose now. They had the Minks with Sulong, All the Samurai, Marco, BS power ups, Tama and on and on... those resources are now "already in play" and can't be used "next time". (sure ,there is the grand fleet, and I believe they may show up...but only at the end..when big mom tries to pick on the weakened Luffy and they go "no no no, not today" and she has to leave.)

@@raimamezuku8558 Ok, so I'm basing this on the Momotaro myth, the protagonist has his village under the control of a Oni, so he leaves in order to find help, with his kibi dangos, he befriends a monkey, a dog and a bird (forgot what type it was) and together they defeat the Oni. The Wano arc it's basically a reference to this myth, Momotaro is Momonosuke, the Monkey is Luffy, the Dog is Yamato, the Bird would be Marco and the Oni is Kaido. Marco despite not being there for Kaido, mentioned to Ace (in a flashback moment) that he would like to help take down Kaido do avenge Oden, and in the last two chapters Luffy asks Momo to fly him to Onigashima, and Momo asks to Shinobu to turn him in an adult. There's already a setup for Momo, Luffy and Yamato to meet in the roof top, and all we need is Marco there (since Zoro is gaining a fast recovery he'll fight King, so we can have his 1v1 fight against another swordsman, and the 1st commander of the beast pirates facing the 1st commander of the future pirate King). And with Marco there using his regenerative abilities to help Luffy and Yamato they'd have a very good chance against Kaido.

A parallel to thriller bark in the last chapter is when the other group of pirates on thriller bark filled Luffy with souls to get him ready for the final battle and now the heart pirates along with caribou are filling Luffy up with food so he can go back and fight for the final battle.

Agree, I think it will be inverted from thriller bark. SH pirates will beat Kaido as Toki prophecies(which also ZKK theory might come true). and another enemies will come but this time Luffy failed to protect them.
