2016 Yamaha R1 Dyno shocking results !!! 😡 🤷🏻‍♂️

  • I took my 2016 Yamaha r1 with akrapovic 3/4 titanium exhaust and unrestricted ecu flash and Bmw air filter to get dynoed at Ducati Detroit ... it got 175.5 hp and 78.5 lbs tourqe to the wheel less then I was hoping for but it was 85 degrees that day but the bike is running strong air fuel was good . Going to have a reflash and other work done to it soon and then take it and have it dynoed again will see how it will do thanks

    I'm pretty sure my '16 anniversary was right there at 175 or 176. I was expecting more as well after flash, akro slip, mid pipe delete. It's not the most powerful bike but man it handles like a 600.

    my zx10 2013 can get 178.5 before tune and after tune its running for 185hp

    Dyno numbers dont mean much. Because you can go to another dyno and it might read 185. if you tried to find the proper tuner they can get them in the 190s on pump gas. If youre into poser points which it sounds like you are, get a kawasaki h2

    why is there so much resistance from the dyno wheel that it causes the front forks to compress?

      @@Eaglefirearms Keep me posted, but I suspect that's HP &torque that its not reading. gets lost in the resistance. dyno wheel should move by itself if you breath on it. also make sure has enough grip so the rear wheel doesn't slip & cause a low reading.

    what was it before the flash?

      Jason Neustaeter it gained about 12 hp with exhaust flash and air filter

      They're all so neutered nowadays. All you really need is 170 to the rear.

    I wouldnt worry. 650ibs r1m did 179 on that dyno. He even has carbon rims so just go to another dyno if you want higher numbers

      Trilla BP I’m not worried anymore I sold that bike lol got a 2018 bmw s1000rr it’s a lot faster 🚀💨.
