- This week I show you how to scout the best players and wonderkids in football manager 2024. We use two different teams from the top to the bottom using the SAME method.

Something I now also find useful - find a player you like, then select Find Similar player, and will pull up a load of players with similarish stats that you've never been aware of before, with stat ranges still as not scouted yet....so get scouting them and you now have a bunch of players similar to that first one, though probably not as good as the stat ranges boost their potential stats....but can be a gem of a younger version of him amongst them
You know what I should utilise that more too. I always try with smaller teams and it shows just the best players 😂
This is very nice content, worth to hit the like button. Although the media description method for wonderkids can be a bit off, because it really depends on the current ability of the player and not so much on the potential and most of the times this kind of players are signed by big clubs or they are worth a shitload of money. But it'll still work if u are managing a big club.
Thank you. Completely agree on the wonder kid method. It’s what I use when I’m in the CL and even then most of the time I just add them to a shortlist and see if I can nab them for free 😂

Quite late but, when you play your rebuilds, you click the option to see all te atributes of all the players? I ussualy don’t use that option, so I was wondering if the scouting method of the stats matching will work If I dont have the players scouted.

Oh God no I wouldn’t work at all haha. It just saves time as the big difference is waiting for scouts to get the info on the players.

What i found out about scouting youngsters/wonderkids (at least in FM23) is that, when we set up a recruitment focus like:
age:15-17
C.A: 4 or 4,5 silver stars
P.A: 3,5 to 4,5 stars
We will get recommended, almost always, only 17 year old players ahhahahahaha.
I don’t know if it changes depending on the country, amount of good players, or youth intake dates. But it keeps happening to me. So much so that now my recruitment focuses - aside specific positions, ages, contract status - are divided by age as 15-16, 18-23 and 18-27ish.

It will only show players who you’ve scouted sadly so I imagine it won’t be very effective
