Hey Daniel, it was nice meeting you last evening. Thanks for taking time out from mowing to say hello. As I said we have watched you guys for years. When we saw your footage of all the storm damage to Sulfur we decided to come up and spend some money with local businesses. We are here because of you guys. God bless you and your family.
I told an elderly woman yesterday that she looked lovely. The smile that came across her face at an unexpected compliment from a stranger was amazing to see.
Daniel, my son is going through a rough patch right now and today I just reminded him how much his Momma loves him and his little 15 month old daughter needs him. And I could just tell how it picked up his spirits. 🙂
When we redid our pond we saved some of those old root wads and planted them in the bottom so the roots were up and habitat for fish. You are saving so much money by starting to move soil and stumps. Dig and dig and dig!!!! You won’t regret saving that money. My husband worked n our pond almost a year digging stumps and moving soil. Love watching the pond transformation.
I’m 60 and enjoy watching too! He makes it look so easy!! Like the machine is just an extension of his arms. Daniel, where did you learn to operate heavy machinery? Trade school or vocational training? And are you passing down that skill to Weston and Houston and Emily if she’s interested too? I’d like to know how you came about being so skilled in this field. Thanks for making interesting content 👍🏻👍🏻😎👌🏻
Looking good Daniel. Nothing ever worth it is built in a day. Slow and steady is a best option. Prayers for your friend rebuilding his liquor store. Also for other Sulphur residents working to rebuild after the nasty tornado tore through.

Daniel love and enjoy your videos. May the lord bless and protect you working on the pond and protect your family and the animals. Daniel it takes time
Maybe you could use the soil you’re removing from the pond to put in the goat pen and plant some cover crop Have you checked the brush piles and stuff from the pond to find any lures that have been lost in the past?

Daniel, love your post, know you already know this, but just a reminder. As long as you are working on the pond, be sure to park all equipment way above full lines, mother nature has way of surprising us with unexpected rain fall , equipment can be damaged greatly in a short time. You are doing a great job getting the gunk out. It will be worth all the hard work, that first bass will surprise Houston and all us watching!
Hey Dan. I have been a subscriber on your channel for many years, you have never said one word to me,now I am going to ask a question and I hope you answer this old 87 year old grandma. Here goes, where is the water going to come from to fill this pond back up ? God bless you, please be safe.
I’m so glad you are able to get in there and handle what you can! It’s nice to have equipment to help you out! If I lived closer I could run one and you the other! I love running heavy equipment! I have a degree in heavy equipment mechanics! I may be an old lady but I can get the job done!😅 Looks like a challenge that I couldn’t pass up! I’m excited to see what this guy is going to accomplish with his thingamajig!😅 Three D imaging should be cool! I hope everyone is doing well! Lots of prayers for y’all! Love and blessings from this old Bama girl!❤❤❤
Thank you, Daniel, for another glimpse of you tirelessly working around the pond. We enjoyed watching as much as you enjoyed doing the work. It's coming along. You're doing a great job. I'm so excited for what's to come in this process. No matter how long it takes, it will be worth it, and it'll be beautiful and bring you, Houston, and the rest of the family so much joy. In a few years, you'll be making memories with grandkids on that new pond. Just continue to make God proud and thank him for all he's given you, and He will continue to bless you. Sending love from NC 🇺🇸. ❤❤❤
What he said, Daniel!! It's just nice to watch your channel. You don't brag showing newest of new toys, vehicles, equipment, etc. You're not a 'know it all' ! Your family is a treasure. You're raising Houston to pitch in & treasure time together. So refreshing. God bless you all! 🙏💜🙏
I think it's time for getting your Buddy's big dozer to clear er' out! Ya al' did guud Daniel with the smaller equipment. Keep us updated on the pond progress. Stay safe!
Although you say you're not a very good operator it is plain to see that you have improved greatly from when you first started. I've worked with a lot of great operators and I've never had a single one tell me they were as good on day one as they were at 2 years, they all had to start learning somewhere. Give yourself a confidence boost, go back and watch the first few videos from when you started and you will see. I am impressed with how much you have gotten done on the pond. Unless you are not showing us, or my eyes are lying to me, you're the only one running equipment there, sooo, yeah, looks like you're making great progress. Keep it up!
I know beside this being a sad, sad event after so many good years of having the lake nearby, but knowing you, Daniel you will turn it into a great fishing/boating pond. Houston, you and friends will enjoy special times there. Clear a place near it add a covered picnic/patio area with a fish cleaning space near the pond using water from pond for cleaning. Then the girls can bring a basket of snacks n drinks. Can fry fish out there too. Be sure to pack out any garbage .. from wild life. Exciting to see the deer there. It might turn out to be a hunting place for a blind too. It is beginning to look so much better. Nice work you n tractors! Do you leave some logs for fish to hide under and spawn?
Great vlog, find it so interesting especially the the less common aspects that we don’t really have in the UK, like boar traps, actually in parts of the UK long dead species like European wild boar and beavers (and I believe also Elk, lynx, wolf, bison and Aurochs) have been re-introduced! Beavers have helped re-wildlife traditional flood plains to help with flood control. A veteran friend of mine bought a derelict small holding and I helped him make a pond from a small stream for fishing and build a small water wheel to generate electricity - he unfortunately did not tell me that to line the pond we would be ‘puddling’ clay, good job it wasn’t sunny or we would be baked hard in a few minutes (just hope the three pairs of Wellington’s we lost will be as well preserved as your tree roots were ) 😂 Well wishes from the UK 👍🏼
Daniel you are doing a great job clearing out the pond. It will all take time but the end result will be amazing. Houston will be happy that you got his whopper plopper. Have a wonderful evening. God Bless.
Hey Daniel, Rev Paul Eustis Florida. If some. Of those log are large enough to mill water logged tree’s make beautiful lumber to make things with or sell:)
The nice thing about your rebuild of the pond is you can decide where you would like the fish habitat located. I feel you will have competition with Jimmy Houston for a Bass Lake!!! Good Luck with fulfilling your idea. I am happy that you recovered the Whopper Plopper, I am sure that Houston will be happy to get his favorite bait back in hand... 😁
Oh man! I'd love to have a truck load of that dirt you are piling up there! That would be the most awesome fish fertilizer for my garden. Too bad i'm in North Georgia! It's looking good, I know you will be so proud when it is finished!
It maybe slow but you are making progress. Thanks for sharing your videos. Your videos are helping me through the roughest time in my life. Sending prayers love and hugs.
You can stock that pond with live crawdads to keep the organic matter under control. They suggest 50-100# per acre. You shouldn't have to restock again, since they'll reproduce readily in May/June. Also, that'll help those bass get huge! You can order them online in bulk( just make sure you're ordering LIVE ones! Also, you can plant lily pads in the shallow-er areas( up to 6ft depth), giving cover to fish and the lily pads absorb extra nutrients in the water that normally would create algae and algae blooms. It helps to limit the excessive nutrients in the water to prevent that. I can't wait to see this pond back and even more beautiful than before!
Daniel, if you’re worried about soft spots with the excavator, you can make some mud mats. I bolted 6x6’s together with all-thread to dredge out a pond once we pumped out half of the water
great video that was real interesting about the tree roots under water for 30 years and are so hard really changing the old pond. keep them coming God Bless you guys
Boy..I think you’ll be able to get a TON of work toward the final fish habitat project done with those two rigs of yours. Played right, this renovation project could be a lot of fun for you. Perhaps Houston could get some OJT with the machines out of it as well. 🤛🏻🚜🇺🇸
Looking really good, Daniel! I love watching the progress you are making on the pond. Little, by little I'm sure it will all come together. Keep us up to date with the progress, which I'm sure you will. I, as I'm sure you, cannot wait too see the finished product. It's just a matter of time. Be Safe, and God Bless!
I think I would use those stumps and cedar trees you’re cutting down on the leased property to make some brush piles. But I’m sure you have everything figured out.
I thought all you were going to remove was the trees and stumps in that pond....wow that's a lot to remove.......Stay safe and bless your sweet family......
I’m sure the pond will look great when finished. I’m guessing 40-50k will be total for pond Reno. That’s guess though. It’s always nice to have friends with equipment willing to help. I’m looking forward to seeing the finished pond. I think would be nice if y’all can build you a nice dock in the pond after it’s finished before it fills up.
I can't wait to see what the new & improved pond looks like when you get done I bet it will be amazing when you get done I could watch your RUclips Videos all day long may God continue to bless you and your Family
That's an enormous undertaking. When my dad did his ponds he hired a crane operator. It was a giant crane and he could reach a long distance. I don't know if these guys are even out there anymore. Dad had him come on his days off so he got a bargain price. He'd show up at odd times but when he was there he did a mountain of digging. Dad dug out a creek/swamp and ended with a big 12 foot deep pond. He planted rainbows, bluegills, and perch. It was fantastic.
I have been watching several capturing of hogs, fishing, vacation, and pond episodes. Can I interject my thoughts on the size of the pond? I know the cost is a factor, however there is a long-term possibility of having a larger pond for enjoyment, property value, and lasting enjoyment. Your family will grow, your children mature, and your grandkids a possibility. Like any family anywhere take time to enjoy what you have, stay rested, and healthy, and may God bless all yours and those you touch.
Suggestion for when getting ready to refill pond Bring in some large boulders and create a feature for fish to hide in so little fish 🐟 escape from big fish ect mabe even a couple of different ones also maybe a dock of some kind also makes shade for fish 🐟 to hangout good luck am watching with interest
That's going to be nicer. I know some trees and brush are good for pond dwellers but there was way too many stumps and trunks. It's looking so much better. Good job so far!!
Daniel I watched your ad and believe me you are right. I went to are local hospital for cataract surgary and I recieved a notice that the hospital had been hacked. I have never order on line but to see the bills rolling in now is amazing.
I love your videos! I have been watching since you retired from the State troopers. So I went way back and watched one video "His heart hurts" Houston was so little!! And he made my heart hurt for him!! Love you all!!
Also, I gotta say you doing a pretty good job with the equipment you have your learning and you’re doing a whole lot better on them more get on it the better you get keep it up. God bless.
Daniel , You obviously have an idea and somewhat of a plan of your finished pond , I have an idea you might not have thought about . Most likely this will be the one and only time ever for you to redo the pond , Have you thought about extending the pond down the creek closer to your house ? This might add a few more acres to your plan without the expense . Obviously you know your land layout more than I do .
Great video and glad you recovered Houston’s Whopper Flopper. I’m hoping that eventually you will end up with a great big burn pile and we will get to see how aged pond wood stumps burn. The great thing about the pond project is that it doesn’t have a deadline so you can plan and work around things and budget and achieve a result that makes everyone a ‘happy camper’. Thank you so much for sharing!
This is so awesome to watch love it. I wanna learn how to build one a small one teach me. I love your program and I Houston is going to be happy. He’s got his lure.

The muck soil can be used on the back of the pond dam for planting purposes, which will help with erosion.
Or for his home garden.
Good Advice!!!

Yep their garden spot.
Fish “ stuff “ is the best fertilizer
Sell it for fill dirt, help pay for the fuel costs on those machines.

That pond dirt would make amazing garden soil.
Yes it would.
Would love to spread on the poor spots in my pasture!
It will make amazing garden soil!
I can't tell you how much I love watching your big toys cut push and break

What a gold mine!!! You should borrow a manure spreader... and put that on the hay pastures.. talk about a huge boost to the soil bio!!!
Daniel I watched your ad and believe me you are right. I went to are local hospital for cataract surgary and I recieved a notice that the hospital had been hacked. I have never order on line but to see the bills rolling in now is amazing.
Daniel you make my day. Glad you got to save Hustons wopper plopper. Hopefully it doesn't 🙏 cost too much to finish the pond. XOXO ❤❤❤❤❤
God bless.
I just started watching I'm impressed how much you got done already this is an amazing project great videos
I know Ron would love what you’re doing! Have you thought about putting some sort of monument in or around the pond in memory of Ron?
Get some of the Clay and make a piece of remembrance pottery from the pond! 😎
Great job Dan
You’ve probably saved yourself about 20k doing what you’re doing. Lookn good, looking forward to watching the transformation
Good job Daniel can’t wait to see the results
Daniel, I have a feeling you could do the whole job yourself. You have great coordination with the machines.
This is so awesome to watch love it. I wanna learn how to build one a small one teach me. I love your program and I Houston is going to be happy. He’s got his lure.
Thx again Daniel it will take time but in the end it will be great!💕🙏😊
