For anyone wondering, the wire hanger bit comes from "Mommy Dearest", the Joan Crawford story. She's an original bad mom.
Idk know Mirror Mat's age but Mommie Dearest what just slightly before my time. I actually first heard that from a Tyler Perry's Madea movie and my mom educated me on it's true origins.
@@quirkyviper It used to come on TV quite frequently when I was younger, about 10 or 11 y/o. I'm 34, but Mirror Matt is probably in their mid 20s
Tip: when you go to refill your wiper fluid, add some antifreeze and a little soap. Keeps your windshield clean and keeps it from freezing in winter
When I used to housesit for people, I'd bring a kit including bells to hang from all the doorknobs and a few self-defense items like a taser or baton. You can get a little paranoid at someone else's house, especially if strangers come to the door unexpectedly or there's unexplained noises. Luckily I stayed safe, but I had a lot of strange experiences and scares.
Love how he wanted to eat the lasagna so bad he missed the dude walking up the stairs 😂😰
He also missed the door
The fact that this happens irl is crazy which made it more terrifying, probably happens everytime.
That jump scare got me SO BAD. I was sitting in my dim living room eating dinner and I got chills! 😵💫
Guys with all seriusness, I very much ADORE MatPats and Mirror Matts kinda mentor/apprentice relationship between them.
Love how MatPat manages to miss the legs going up the stairs while he's eating both times ...
As a non native english speaker, and as a person that never has to worry for the snow or cold (cause I'm latin american), today I learned a lot about that, so thank you Mirror Matt for not using appropriate tools and making this Icy banter possible.
26:15 honestly got me more than any jumpscare has in the last three years. good lord.
For me, it’s when he screams that makes me jump 😂
@@jedikinight5012 I was jump scared we he crouched by the window lol
How?
@@mcdonathan2235 i think the scare was a combo of the fear the you start to saw the door open that there was about to be a jumpscare, plus the jumpscare wasn't half bad, plus mat screaming very loudly, also doesn't help if you have your volume maxed inadvertently lol
his scream scared me, I had my volume nearly up and it scared the shiz out of me
The instant MatPat said "sig figs" I was filled with rage. Significant figures are awful and I am happy to say that I have never had to use them since my high school physics class.
The most significant figure about sig figs is how little they matter to the vast majority of us...
In the start Mirror Mat sounds so devastated and sad about the ice and dustpan and its so funny
Matt: "lock your doors all night every night"
Also Matt: *doesn't check to make sure all of the doors are shut*
When mirror Matt said “a dustpan” I could FEEL the frustration in his voice😭
The solid minute of matpat just NOT realizing he should TURN RIGHT and turn off an alarm clock has MURDERED my head.
There was even dynamic sound, so the closer you turned, the louder it got. He got close so many times, but just didn't fully turn.
I was thinking of the Curb your Enthusiasm theme when he did eventually find the alarm 😂
"I had to scrape ice off my car."
"Do you have an ice scraper?"
"Nooo." 😥
"What did you USE then???"
"A dustpan." 😢
*laughter wheezes*
"I'm not built for this, Matt!" 😭
Me : dying

The jumpscare was a good one. I also appreciate that it gives time to warm up to that face.
I find I often relate so much with mirror matt, and it's oddly comforting to hear matpat's advice and reassurances
This channel is the definition of content.
You can't deny it.
Well ACTUALLY no, the videos are the definition of content!🙃
Agreed
To be honest, out of all. A dust pan would be very effective for removing ice. Well done Mirror Matt!
The second I saw Jack play this I knew I needed to see Matt to play it. And Mirror Matt's quips and side commentary is just amazing. 😂
Glad I’m not the only one to watch both of these RUclipsrs
We NEED! ABSOLUTELY NEED! A mat&matt podcast! I would listen to it so much! I love their vibes 💛
Mirror matt using a dustpan to scrape ice off his door is peak comedy to be honest. I just can't. And then the way Matt died laughing at that.
Edit: I swear, my soul left my body when the first jump scare popped up.
As a creator trying to make horror games, this is something which I take inspiration from.
One day, Matt will play your game
Good luck with your game 😁
Love how the second they take a good look at the intruder they immediately start discussing how they could take him 🤣
*the intruder who is at your tv screen smiling at you....
As magpat’s said in the past ( I believe) about why you shouldn’t show the monster in your horror game too clearly - “If you get too good a look at it you start thinking ‘oh I can take that.’ “
@@Lovingmadjom Fear comes from not knowing what you’re dealing with..but once you do it’s not as scary! Humans are naturally afraid of the unknown.
I love Matt & mirror-mat's personality
Matpat's reaction to the game was way more scary, made me jump twice.
The Mat and Mirror Mat banter never fails! I died at the way MM said “A dustpan!” 😂
