Just received this laptop. Anyone else out there have a very long boot period with it? It takes mine 3 minutes and 20 seconds before I can log in. All software and firmware are up to date, including the BIOS. Anyone got an idea what I is going on with this?
Thanks for the great presentation; is there a comparison with HP ENVY X 360
how is the battery life? the website i'm looking at says at goes up to nine hours: is that short enough to be constanty annoyed by battery life?
I looked at battery life here: ruclips.net/video/rtGunrG91OM/видео.html
what about mic test?
I impressed of Dell
Check out my first impressions of the 7415 - its even better: ruclips.net/video/faJpPs0ULqU/видео.html
Is this touch screen?
i m struggling between this and the surface pro 7 ... i need a 2-in-1 mostly because i want to read books/comics on the go, and having it to be able to link to my tv to watch prime/netflix from it. I was aiming to Samsung Tablets but none seems to work on the prime/netflix side... dunno what to do...i want to put on rest my old acer travelmate with a crappy celeron and buy something that get the best of the 2 worlds (home (basic office/photoshop/prime/netflix) and mobile (comic reader)) :/
I don't like the Surface Pro range personally - the form factor is ok as a tablet, but crap as a laptop. They're also expensive to buy and hard and expensive to repair.
@@BrueComputing i thought i replied but looks like i didnt. I ended up buying an asus vivobook s14 i5 16+512 14" 72ntsc, bit bigger than what i wanted but specs wise seems good for a couple of years for my needs...for the tablet part whatever, i ll keep using my phone for that, i rather saved myself some bucks. Thanks for the feedback!
please,, dell 5406 vs hp pavilion x360
why not test the pen with the screen? is there any lagging and delay using pen at the screen
Sound ?
I am in Canada. The Dell website says Inspiron 5406 comes with a backlit keyboard but The dell sales team told me it does not. I am confused whether it has a backlit keyboard or not before I decide to buy it
The version I bought here in the UK does.
the 5406 is backlit led and 5410 is led do you think it is big difference?
Can you please make a video on the gaming performance of this laptop?
I've made a few (with the system upgraded to dual channel memory) here: ruclips.net/p/PLmCC8789U9__V6wGCbSOu8xH7aMJFYUXI
I want to buy a laptop for notes-taking and using of Microsoft Office Programms( spesifically Word and Excel)
I am between these 3 laptops. I know have difference of price, but i want the best of these.
1. Dell Inspiron 14 Inch 5406 i5-1135G7/8GB/256GB
2.Laptop HP Pavilion x360 14" (Intel Core i5-1135G7/8GB/512GB SSD/Intel® Iris® Xᵉ Graphics)DW1001NV
3. Laptop Asus VivoBook Flip 14" (Ryzen 5-4500U/8GB/512GB SSD/AMD Graphics) TM420IA
Which do yoy suggest me?
The ssd hard disk can upgraded or have another slot for adding another ssd hard disk ?
The ssd can be upgraded. Dell claims 500gb capacity but other reviewers are saying 1tb. There is only 1 ssd slot
hello, nice review. What do you think of the model with i3-1115G4 / 4 ram 256 ssd for basic university use : office suite, netflix, web browsing (no programming, autocad or photo editing)?
I'll be looking at an i3-1135G4 soon, so subscribe to see that video when it is up.
I'm going buy a Dell 5402 laptop
What's the sRGB % for the screen? How good it is for video photo editing
I think it covers 65% of sRGB
I can play fifa at low settings?
How power on ????
New laptop
When new you normally have to connect the charger for the first power on.
Connect the charger and press the fingerprint reader/power button (top right).
is it worth the purchase? 500-600?
I just got the new model of this laptop with NVIDIA MX 330 2GB graphic, will be unboxing in a while
And how is is mate? Is it good for video editing?
hello would you help me to understand if I can charge the laptop via the usb c port? if so, what should I buy to recharge it correctly?
I looked at battery life and USB-C in another video here: ruclips.net/video/rtGunrG91OM/видео.html
I used an Anker USB-C charger and USB-C dock with mine: amzn.to/3EkCwNr
@@BrueComputing ThankUBro!!
Hey! Question. For the power button, when the system is shutdown, and then when you turn it on, does it detect the fingerprint sensor and the same time and log you in?
No, the fingerprint sensor will only turn on when you're at the Windows login screen or at moments where the OS requests for a fingerprint.
Hi, just a question, is the display touchscreen right? I think it's obvius since it's 2 in 1, but i don't see this specific anywhere. Did you test it?
It is, yes.
@@BrueComputing hi and thank you for the review!! Please why in this model is written "display backlit touch" and in other model "touch screen"? Is there a difference?
Hi there, thanks for posting this video. It was very useful. I recently checked with dell inspiron 14 and hp envy x36 13. Both are having matching prices with dell having latest core i5 11 gen and hp having and ryzen 5.The rest of the spec are evenly matching. I am thinking about buying dell but having said that I don’t wanna miss rayzen 5 performance. I work for construction field and I do work on softwares like BIM, Office file and I am using split monitors as well to increase my productivity. Can you please suggest me with which one should I go with ?
Is this a good laptop for college students?
I don't see why it wouldn't be. There are newer models now though with the latest Ryzen and 12th gen Core chips.
I guess I haven't bought a laptop in a while because the lack of ethernet connection don't seem to bother anyone. It is an extra cost for the hub.
You can buy a USB ethernet adapter for about £15.
What is the start up frquency for this laptop as it is not mentioned in ark website
Is this good for light Gaming and University Work?
What kind of games are you looking at?
@@BrueComputing minecraft and valorant
Minimum specs for Valorant are really low, so should work fine. Minecraft shouldn't be an issue.
Its 300 nits display
Thank you so much for....... see my previous comment
Can the thermals support video editing?
Please kindly give me its full specification
It is this model here: www.dell.com/en-uk/shop/laptops/new-inspiron-14-5000-2-in-1/spd/inspiron-14-5406-2-in-1-laptop/cn54009sc
I'm curious abaut the touchscreen, is it capable to write, draw on it a bit more seriously than a stickman?
I have the i7 11th gen and it has a great touch response , plus u can draw and use it like any other graphic tablet and it's stylus response is also good not any delay or sync problem at all
@@aditya-wh7fh hi how is the display of it, is brightness enough?
how it is for gaming? Like FIFA and COD?
Bro who is the best dell vs hp
How much watts can it use in ultra performance mode?
Mine recorded 26W peaks and 15W sustained. (AC powered btw)
I have the same model of this laptop but I really want window hello face so how I make it possible?? Please help?
You can't, it doesn't have the necessary camera to support Windows Hello Face.
@@BrueComputing ohh Damn... ok thanks for replying quick
No problem. The fingerprint sensor is pretty good, so I prefer that to face recognition anyway.
👍👍👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️❤️
Glad you liked it.

Hey I've been meaning to ask how do i activate the VT in HP Zbook G1 i tried asking for the HP support but it's just not happening at all
You have to boot into bios and go to features and then virtualisation should be there.
Can we upgrade it and install HDD or not ?
And what about RAM is there another slot to upgrade?
2 ram slots, 16gb total is safe, some reviewers saying 32gb capable. No on regular hdd install, only (1) m.2 pci-e slot.
Did it not come with a pen
Not in the UK. The PN350 is sold separately.
How long do you need to charge it for??
