So happy to have found this video! I wanted to ask if you were also insulin resistant? Were pre-diabetic? My OBGYN diagnosed me with PCOS however I am lean. Is there a difference in diet between people with PCOS that gain weight versus those that are lean? My doctor recommended for me to get on a Mediterranean diet or a low carb (wholegrain) diet... 🤨

I do not have problems with my thyroid, neither with blood sugar (no insuline resistance), no acne, no weight problems but my ovaries are full of cyst, my period is lost and I cannot get pregnant :´( the answer of my doctor? this is just who you are! I get really sad when it comes to PCOS I have that, and i have done many researches And due to the researchers i should stop working out too much or exhausting myself But the thing is that i dance , and i have to practice alot, sometimes i need 10 hours to just learn the basic moves It's extreme, but i can't let go of it, and i makes me horribly sad to hear adrenaline increase is such a bad thing and affects my pcos Idk what to do :) I can cut dairy or go gluten free, for the rest of my life I literally would do anything Whatever it takes .. But not quiting dance :) I wish i knew what to do about it..
That's heartbreaking!! I say keep dancing cause quitting it will cause more damage to your spirit, try doing longer fast and cut dairy and gluten and take some pcos vitmens (doctor prescribed) hope it helps 💜
I feel your pain, I love my workouts too and had to stop because adrenal fatigue meant that I could barely get up off the couch. It crushed my spirits but I had to stop to recover. I feel a bit better physically having taken a break from it. My plan is to slowly work my way up to doing workouts again. Is there any chance you'd be willing to cut back a bit of the dancing? Not completely but take a lot of breaks in between?
It sounds like you dance professionally or on a team. If you do, you may need to scale back how competitive you are in that. But don't stop dancing completely. I was a dancer for years and when I stopped, everything went to sh*t. So, don't stop, just modify your schedule if at all possible.
Ok, I notice coffee makes my hiritism worse. However it helps my blood sugar and I feel so good when my body is releasing the glucocorticoids from the adrenals that coffee stimulates. How can I balance this without completely wrecking my adrenals?
My period is month after a month but also it continues more than two weeks or three weeks but i am in pcos my weight is going up now i am in gluten free
Hi there! I have lean PCOS (I think, because I always was very skinny) and since a few years my weight and cystic acne increased fast. I try to eat anti inflammatory foods, cut out added sugars, high GI foods, gluten and dairy. BUT. I really love food and going out to restaurants. Do you advice to manage my diet 24/7, or is it also achievable to keep one meal a week with sugar/dairy/alcohol-ish foods?
Hi Cyster, everyone's body and tolerance to gluten and dairy is different. After cutting it out for 30 days, you can reintroduce it into your body and see how it feels! You know your body best 💗
Hi sister, I’m suffering from PCOS now 10 years and still I don’t have baby 😢😢. Recently I didn’t get my period for 6 months now. Also it’s quiet hard to do GF & DF sister. Hi Cyster, do you know your PCOS type? Finding out your type is a great first step and can help you target the root cause of your PCOS symptoms! Hi Cyster, dairy can be found in products like milk, ice cream, butter, cheese, etc. Gluten can be found in breads, pasta, cookies, cereal, etc. There are plenty of great gluten and dairy-free alternatives you can try, but you know your body best so do what feels best for you!
I have been taking inositol as suggested by her. All my hunger cravings have disappeared. I used to be hungry all the time. But inositol supplement really does the wonders.
you dont need to fast, in fact what you might have is your body really struggling with metabolism and burning the right things. I suggest try a week or two of 6 small meals or 2 big meals with really small snacks in between. this helps activate your metabolism to burn the things you need to burn. I suggest learning how to make really good whole food snacks, maybe even having mostly alkaline vegetarian meals during the period you want to try this out. DRINK WATER. your body also confuses thirst for hunger so drink a cup or two when you start to feel you're hungry and wait 20-30 minutes before you eat if you're still hungry. see how that works out for you.
Isn't the whole point of intermittent fasting that when you DO eat, it's to complete satiation, so you actually can't be hungry during the fasting window? I never did extreme intermittent fasting, I just do a regular old 16/8 schedule, which seems to work well.
I found chai tea to be a nice trade off for coffee. The vanilla/cinnamon/allspice flavor tastes good, and you can still put creamer in it. It's got a little caffeine (30 mg to coffee's 100mg) to jumpstart your day. But it won't mess with you like coffee will. My sleep improved the very first night I made the switch.
Don't go all Keto if it's too hard. Try either a whole 30 elimination diet, to see what is actually inflammatory to your body, or try a low carb diet. You can do a gluten free diet that isn't keto. And you can do a dairy free one that's not keto. In fact, I would be challenged trying to do a dairy free keto because half the recommended foods are dairy 🤦♀️. Really, try an elimination diet and see what actually triggers inflammation for you.
