When I was 5 years old the bridge park looked different from now. 1 or 2 years ago new sidewalks built and more people came here for walking. I loved playing near the river where is filled with mud and brush. Happy for the changes of these years.
Thanks Wendy that’s really interesting. You must have had a lot of fun growing up in that area and playing in the mud ! Were there many boats there when you visited as a child ? I really love that place, the paths do look new and colorful.
@@middlekingdomproductions True. I saw different kinds of boats went from left to right, felt the light wind with wild grass in my mouth. It's quiet romantic and happy memory of childhood.
Agree with ya totally. China's urban park management and local gov't doing a great job in an area like this. Although I ain't crowded friendly person, love it.
Due to the construction of 5 hydropower stations in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River, the water volume in the lower reaches of the Yangtze River is much lower than before, but the Yangtze River is still very beautiful.
✍️Only now I know the 3 layer long time bridge is in Nanjing.....saw it on old stamp ...China magazine...,💯 Ya the lady swinging..like a Yo yo...well I can't believe that..most likely is called Obstructing and putting Danger to the public...in country😇💯⭐
thanks a lot for sharing. I lived in Nanjing for a long time, but have never seen the bridge from your angle. by the way, you said the "Notorious bridge". what do you mean? (I might have missed the part).
Hi, to go there it would be best to take a train to Nanjing railway station which is in the centre of the city. It takes around 60-90 minutes from Shanghai. Then I’d recommend taking a didi taxi from there to the Nanjing Yangtze River bridge. I think it won’t take more than 20 or 25 minutes. In this video I’m at the Pukou side of the bridge. You could take a taxi to this location 桥北滨江生态公园
Thanks for the reply, do you also know how to go to Nanjibg Muyan Binjiang scenit belt where we can see the cherry blossom and the Yangtze river plus the Usnisa Palace ( also from Shanghai). I m thinking to visit those as a day trip from Shanghai.
You like the area, don't you, Adam? You made a similar video a short while ago on, what you called, the 'notorious' bridge in Nanjing. You walk there so often, so how many times have you stepped in in order to save some poor souls from jumping? The so called Angel of Nanjing has been milking the same cow for twenty years! Western media love it, of course, so the same story are run periodically by 'news' outlets such as the Daily Mail, the New York Post and so on, including Hong Kong based South China Morning Post, even CGTN America. It suits their narrative, doesn't it? China is nothing but a place of sadness and sorrow...! Chinese people had been through a lot, needless to say, the Century of Humiliation, Japanese Invasion and then the Civil War! But since the founding of the People's Republic, China has come a long long way. Today's China is a proud nation, and Chinese people live in peace and prosperity. That is not to say that there aren't any one left behind, life is what it is after all! I have digged into this story of the Angel of Nanjing recently; it is very dubious, I am afraid. It is not a folklore but, 'apparently', scores of poor souls have been trying to jump off the bridge to death for decades, and it is still occurring. But it is a story from one man, and one man only, essentially about him saving the lives of others. The story has been regurgitated perennially in the West, typically with added data each time, so it must be true! And unsuspecting individuals simply re-tell the same. This bridge was built in the 60s when China was very very poor. It is multi-purpose, and one can only imagine that it had improved people's lives immensely in those days. The bridge doesn't deserve to be called 'notorious', and the people in Nanjing don't deserve to have their bridge called 'notorious'. Adam, why don't you ask the locals about the bridge?

I feel like I could walk this park everyday and never get bored.
Yeah, if it was closer to my home I would. Its very relaxing with the boats sailing along the river.
Family/folks spending good times at the surrounding areas, this is freedom. Safety & freedom is priceless, nobody carries gun there.
Awesome

It is very beautiful! The water levels will rise a lot over the next month as the rainy season is here.

Nanjing is very hot and humid this season.
Yes, it gets very hot and humid! 🥵although the rainy season seems to be here now so it should be cooler for a while hopefully.

The park along the river is well built, and you can play outside at night, which is an unimaginable freedom for Americans.
