This was one of only four creepypastas that really screwed with my head in high-school. The other three were Slenderman, Lavender Town, and Smile Dog.
It was Smile Dog and The Rake for me 😭
Better than me, I was a whole high school sophomore and I still saw that mf squidward face in the dark of my room at night. Like, I was doing AP chem and trying to be an adult during the day while secretly staying up at night because I was scared of fucking Squidward. No one in my personal life knows this and I’m still embarrassed.
@Harry Stikers the Rake I feel like could've kept going with better writers
Same! And Anasi’s Goatman (which originated from 4chans paranormal board, but I found it on one of the creepypasta sites)
@@Spongebrain97
It was always the images for me, none of the writing ever got to me.
I was hoping you'd mention "Disney's Catacombs".
The idea of being chased in an underground jailhouse while the cells on each side open ahead of you is terrifying.

Abandoned by Disney has always stood out to me more than any other creepypasta due in no small part to Slime Beast's absolutely haunting lore around the Disney Corp. It reminds me of tulpas in a sense or even concepts like positive suggestion- you place enough thought/power behind an idea/concept and it might just become a reality- weather you want it to or not.
who in gods name is slime beast
@@kay1229 did you watch the video?
@@thegreenberretwearingbrony9678 yeah ? still dunno
Who or what is Tulpa?
@@kay1229 the author of “Abandoned by Disney”, “Room Zero”, and “I Hate You”.
My theory about the entity in Room Zero from what we've gathered is it's possibly a manifestation of the belief of war/death. Considering this was during the Cold War, and the fear of WWIII happening, that at any given moment America would be nuked out of existence, I think it's safe to say the mass hysteria happening in that room was a result of everyone's collective hard belief of nuclear war, and death.
Given these entities are formed from people's beliefs, it's easy to realize how this one came to be in a time of such heavy paranoia within the public.
This is pretty good. Though I'm curious how "letting the cold out" played in.
And I swear if you say its the "Cold War" I will cyber-slap you lol
@@wolfsongrising Damn, I shall keep my mouth shut, then. 😔
My personal theory is that the gas mascots are the ghosts of the people that were trapped in room zero

Abandoned by Disney fascinated me as a kid. Disney had actually "abandoned" locations in real life and the mystique around some of their history adds to its realism. Loses me at the costume taking its head off, but pretty atmospheric.
What's the problem with the costume taking its head off?
@@scottchaison1001 It's a little too much. Ruined the atmosphere by jumping the shark
The costume taking it's head off is actually pretty clever. It's essentially a more demented and scarier version of a kid accidently seeing someone take off their mascot costume and being traumatised because they thought it was the actual character and not some dude in a costume
@@Alreadsyuse Exactly, it's supposed to represent to us the terror a child feels by being way more realistic and gorey.
Love Abandoned by Disney, one of my favorite creepypasta…
Room Zero was really good too, I had no idea those Micky Mouse gas masks existed in real life…
Yeah, pretty interesting trivia.
@@EmmaJ_95 During World War Two, Disney partnered with some rubber company to make Micky Mouse gas masks for children…
@@EmmaJ_95 Yeah they had mickey themed masks so that they wouldn't scare kids as much if there was an emergency
@@WestCero well... too bad they where even scarier than actual gas masks
I knew they existed before I even knew ROM zero existed infact I never heard of room zero before watching this video
“The hatred the locals had for Mowgli’s Palace and Disney manifested the Corruptus, hence the inverted monstrous Mickey costume.”
If this story is to believed, then I’m betting there’s at least hundreds more of these monstrous twisted costumes roaming about, considering just how much more people (rightfully) despise what Disney’s become in the past few years, myself included.
Yeah but if a couple different people hate Disney in spread out areas for different reasons then their hate won’t be dense enough to corrupt something, everyone in town hated Disney for the same reason meaning it can corrupt the Mickey
@@WorstDBDPlayer True.
Hating Disney, or any corporation for that matter, is never rightful
@PersonaLover249
Uh no, hating corporations for the bad things they do is perfectly valid, and rightful or as “rightful” as any other hatred can be anyway, who are you to decide what people can and can’t hate?
**SCP flashbacks**
Room Zero has a place in my heart. I watched it while I was really sick, sick enough to be kept home from school because of a bad fever. I listened to someone read it. It unnerved me, but not too much. I went to bed and had a fever dream, a dream I woke up crying from and still remember from this day.
It was a first person pov. It was like I was watching this through a camera, like I wasn't me or wasn't there. I was in a disney park (note, I've never been to disney) and it was a sunny, busy day. There was a bench, with trees on either side. However, there was something weird that no one was noticing, seemingly. There was a teenage girl sitting on the bench, like 14. She was wearing a 1960's era red dress that was buttoned up to her neck, and Mary janes. She had auburn, braided hair. She was slumped over, half laying on the bench. She was an obvious corpse; miscolored skin, black fingertips, not moving. She also had a gas mask on. People kept bustling by,.all I could hear was people talking. A few people passed her, even. Like, a family with young kids. Some people even sat by her, not noticing at all. I watched for what felt like hours upon hours, as the sun began to set. The thing that made me wake up was that she began moving. She came to life, desperately gasping for air in her gas mask. With jerky movements, she tried to remove the mask, but was failing until she torn it off. She looked right at me with milky eyes, and that jolted me awake. Because it felt like hours in the dream, it started out unnerving but became more sad. Like, can someone please notice her so she can get a proper burial? But her waking up was like my brain jumpscaring me multiple times in a very short amount of time.
"I never shoulda smoke that shit"
Not the time bruh💀
If you remember a dream, then it's not a dream. Its speaking some kind of message.
Wow. My fever dreams are never that detailed. They’re usually nightmarishly abstract, terrifying in a way I’m never able to properly describe once I’m awake. It’s not that I’m unable to remember them, I just can’t describe what they were to other people in a way that conveys the reason they were so terrifying. Only a few of my family members really understand, because they have had similar abstract dreams before when they were sick.
I got sidetracked but I guess I’m saying that it’s cool that you can actually tell other people what happened in your dream, lol.
did you try to wake up
Zalgo is real in a sense. He is the embodiment of the internet's childhood corrupters.

Notice that photo negative Mickey asks “wanna see my head come off?” This may sound like a random creepy thing to say until you realize that taking the mascot head off is prohibited by Disney and will ruin the magic for guest fitting the character well.
I wonder how many kids have accidentally caught a glimpse of just that?
"the internet loves to twist our childhoods" that is a HUGE understatement

Growing up as an elementary school kid in the brony fandom was WILD 💀💀💀
I know someone already mentioned it in the comments but Slime Beast did a HELL of a job making this absolutely horrific. This and Candle Cove were the only two Creepypastas that gave me actual nightmares when I was younger. Great video!
You do know Candle Cove was a real show right? Back when Saturday Night Cartoons were still a thing.
The frick is candle cove?
@@SaltedFlake right? I am sick of people acting like it was JUST a creepy pasta, because I used to watch that show all the time.

Is no one gonna talk about the fact that there was a real character named EDA (or "Ida"??) in one of the parts of the story?? (Idk how old that particular story is btw)
As someone who has worked as a bartender at Disney World- I would prefer Abandoned By Disney any day over dealing with a constant stream of Karens, screaming children, and the plethora of other bullshit
I really love how the internet has made a family friendly franchise horrifying.
I think capitalism did that
You saying Disney isn’t a corruptive eldritch entity that’ll do anything to keep feeding the mouse the souls of the innocent and the corrupted?
@@bubble_ross true
@@bubble_ross Nah it only made them shit, internet did the horrifying part
I think that the reason why it works so well is that normally we find comfort and a certain safe space in the familiarity of these child friendly properties. But when that familiarity, that safe space and comfort is ripped away when we least expect it is where this kind of horror bites deeper than other horror media
I think Room Zero would have been more scary if there hadn't been anything supernatural. A mechanical glitch sounded the warning, people panicked, and Disney covered it up.
To be fair, a corporation which was complicit in the existence of a literal concentration camp, and even thanked said camp within the credits of the film they needed to shoot on-site for, is already corrupt enough. It doesn't need outside influence to make it more so.
I can imagine the disney workers looking at the story like: "yup, classic photo negative mickey!"
Abandoned by Disney was and still is my favorite Creepy pasta
In my top ten for sure.
@Sacrow fr
The fact that Abandoned by Disney became such a big thing that even a FNAF game came out, and it's described as one of the best fangames out there, like, Disney creepypastas back at it again
Radiance Team are seriously some of the best fnaf fan devs in the fandom
We didn't have to corrupt Disney, *they already did it themselves.*
"You have done that yourself!"
True thay have done this to themselves and they can’t undo it. It gets darker everyday and it shows no sign of stopping
Well shit, your right
Yeah, but they just made it shitty and boring. At least the internet made an interesting and terrifying concept
No, the title is right. Your comment just gave Sacrow the proof he needed.
I think this might have been my first time ever listening to the entire "Abandoned by Disney" series, heck I don't think I even knew it was a series before this video. It's strange because I know for certain that I'd heard of this series before, but I don't recall listening to any of the stories save for Room Zero (which I thought was a standalone thing). I'd say this series was definetly worth the wait, even if the wait was a fault of my own, and it was an absolute bone-chilling blast from start to finish.
The single most impactful moment in the series to me was the line "Abandoned by God" in the first story. Part of it was due to me jokingly thinking that they should have written that instead throughout the story, given the absolute state of the place (then speak of the Devil, it showed up). The other reason is that I've been trying to write a story about a man living through a Rapture-like event (abandonment by God in a sense) for about a year now, but I've put it on hold indefinitely since the story I'm expanding on is one I'm fairly proud of, so I want it to be good.
the “abandoned by god” line always reminds me of the “i have spoken with god and he has abandoned us” line from (i think) the harbinger experiment. also i’ve heard all of these stories before but i didn’t know they were a series
"Room Zero" has 1 fatal flaw: Disneyland opened in 1955, but didn't have the Utilidors. The Utilidors were a feature built into Magic Kingdom; however, MK didn't open until 1971.
Creepypastas that used to scare me were Slenderman, Jeff The Killer, Smile Dog, Lavender Town Syndrome and Sonic.exe but none of them still make me feel scared than Abandoned By Disney
I thought I remembered reading Abandoned by Disney as a pre-teen. When you mentioned Mowgli’s Palace I was like yep that’s the one! This creepypasta really got to me as a kid. Honestly its still as terrifying as I remember. Good to see it still holds up.

@Jordaneye007 your welcome, it’s why I’m here
Abandoned by Disney will forever be my favorite Disney creepypasta. Since it was based on the real life closure of treasure island.
My theory is that the Gascots are either corruptus of those that were trapped in room zero, probably based on the workers collective fear of what happened.
That might explain why certain characters associated with Disney that recently fall under public domain now have horror movies in the works.
I feel like all of the Disney creepy pastas are connected in some shape or form. Also I love how he used the Portal ost at the end.
Grad Night at the Haunted Mansion is another banger Disney pasta, it's sequel is pretty good too
I'll check it out, thanks for the recommendation.
I just read both and I need a third part! Too bad they were written so long ago.
Abandoned by Disney has scared me ever since I was 7.it really stood out even being called a "good creepypasta"creepypastas is considered nostalgic 😪
One time in class one of my friends told me about the suicide mouse thing, and I sat there and felt really uneasy. Nearly cried for some reason.
But why is so many people scared of the abandoned by Disney thing like it’s just an abandoned place
@@earthodin3128 fr
One of my favorite Disney creepypastas was The Legendary Years, about a photographer who sneaks into an unbuilt hotel that was gonna be the 20s-50s Era themed to match with the hotel that was already existing. It's tension is crazy but alas it's unknown as I assume it's a newer pasta and only one person I can think of narrated it. 2nd favorite is the mirror ritual one, heavily reminds me of the kingdom keepers series of books.
How do you sneak into a hotel that wasn’t built?
Photo-Negative!Micky: Wanna see my head come off?
Me: Lemme break out my duct tape first. Because If your heads coming off, I'm making sure it doesn't do it second time.
I always thought the FNaF Parody, Fice Nights at Treasures Island cane out of nowhere. One you mentioned the negative Mickey, I knew it had to do with this. Now I know-
This has to be one of my favorite creepypastas of all time. Not only is it genuinely scary in a way that doesn't seem overly dramatic, but it's actually quite realistic given Disney's shady activities in the past. I'm not saying that it's true, but it conceivably could happen. My only real problem with the story is the ending. Are you telling me that a man just happens to pull his head off like that? No! He orchestrated it! Mickey! Had it just been a homeless person with a knife or something then it would be a lot better. But other than that, this is a 9/10 creepypasta for me!
There's a body horror/gore/black comedy manga called Franken Fran and it has I think two or three chapters dedicated to a amusement park clearly inspired by Disney Land where the mascots are actually made out of flesh and body parts of people who got hired there. It's quite gross(just like the whole manga) and has a certain twist to the two main mascots th plot revolves around.
franken fran mentioned !!!!
Abandoned By Disney is great, but the most unrealistic aspect is thinking Disney wouldn't find a way to monetize their haunted resort. They have proof of the paranormal and are just gonna ignore it? That ain't very mousey.
This is one story I was always scared to listen to at night ..
Room zero got me years ago.
Never heard of Bikini Bottom horror before, I just read it all, and damn. That was surprisingly incredible. Welp now to finish the video
I agree it goes from 0-100 in the end really fast and the inverted Mickey is kinda weird, but Abandoned by Disney was always one of my favorites
Does anyone think Disney sees these kind of twists we give their beloved characters and think "you know what, let's keep them"
The internet doing what the internet does, making literally anything twisted.
Oh god. I remember this Creepypasta and I thank you for making a deep dive video. I was also amazed by the fan content, especially the FNaF clone, and I love the models that are shared to DA.
I did fanart but more of inspired by the “human wearing the mascot head with blood sticking out” as a way to test some horror inspired rendering. Good ol’ Times...
Did you know the "FNaF clone" got a sequel recently? It's called "Oblitus Casa" and it's very good
@@oskarzyca3551 I need to check it out one day...! 👀
No one not gonna talk about what happen to photo negative mickey after the narrator left the palace, leave the door open. It might still be out there, wandering somewhere
Well, it’s not like the thing displayed any real malice.
NGL, a story like this set in the Jurassic Park universe would be super interesting.
No matter where you put the timeline (for me, the story would be set after The Lost World, but the major events would end there, no 3 or the World Trilogy), there’s always room for something like this.
Ingen is already known for many disasters and corrupt underground decisions, imagine what lies even under that.
Honestly I'm surprised at how great this was. I've never been a big fan of creeypastas(outside of Herobrine), but this certainly takes the cake.
There was one more story in the series. It was called “a few suggestions”. It was really ominous, I loved it. Gives you a bigger insight into what happened the night shit went down in mogilis palace. Also it contains more information in the no faced kids.
Nvm you covered it lol, Didn’t get up yo it yet in the video
honestly, maybe all of these ''horror charaters'' like the inverted mickey, gascots and the voice in room zero could be nice things, i think the inverted coustume actually meant no harm and just wanted to show a trick or somthing
Listening to your channel in the background is so jarring. It's like you have each sentence isolated on an index card and speak as if every line is without surrounding context or meaning. Sometimes you even manage a full second or more of dead air *mid-sentence* while then saying the next two sentences as a run-on. It brings me back to those middle school days where the kid who can barely read and isn't paying attention is asked to read a paragraph of the story out loud.
Do you review your script before sitting down and hitting record? You need to. All of your videos are like this.
I like the idea of "Abandoned By Disney" being a tale of corruption, akin to "Silent Hill". I think make a theme-park-related horror series which has dark, lurking horrors brought upon by the darkness of people's hearts would be very freaky.
Abandoned by Disney is one of the few creepy pastas I still think about with fondness, and can vividly remember imagery from even all these years later. It’s a lot better than people give it credit for, thanks for being one of the people who still talks about it
Abandoned by Disney was one of the most prominent creepy pastas that got me interested in loving this genre. I love the overall discomfort behind Disney - even though it's already been done plenty of times, it's still a ripe area for creepy pasta stories! Love me some spooky stories~
Edit: got yourself another subscriber ;) Thank you for these kinds of videos!

This feels of an overlap of the rule of three trope as well as the four means death trope as the three abandoned by disney writings were likely warning. The four means death trope is also shown here by the abandoned by god as usually that would mean the end of someone's life. Luckily, the MC (Main Character) here ran when they had the chance.
Sorry, just noticed this while looking through a tropes website.
Oh my god, I love this series.
As an urbex enthusiast, I would love to see an actual abandoned Disney Resort.
there are videos on youtube
The fact that Disney theme parks are super shady really helps the believability too.
Oh man, the Mowgli's palace and Treasure Island mention brings back nostalgia from when I first encountered this. This was my first and only experience with creepy pasta involving established characters/companies. Scared me to death, lol.
I remember the weird unnerving feeling I got from the yellow blood and the thought of a seemingly innocent place being abandoned by God himself. And that’s not even going into stuff like room zero or the other stuff. It’d be unjustified to also not mention the FNAF-style games like Five Nights at Treasure Island or the recent Oblitus Casa.

Snakes don’t have eye lids, so whatever he saw there wasn’t a normal snake.
Neros Day at Disneyland would be an excellent continuation of the Disney Corruption series, since I think it came before Abandoned by Disney in 2009, and takes the form of music. It was an experimental breakcore project by Lauren Bousfield that people have made a lot of theories about online, Most talking about Captialism and Dystopia and of course, one of the Album covers had the signature disney gas mask. You should really check out her Albums, Attention shoppers and from rotting fantasy lands, her music is the purest definition of insanity. I'm suprised it wasn't talked about more, since it was before this kinda thing got popular and really turned into creepypastas. It also has an air of mystery to it because I don't see many people talk about it, I'd like to hear someone cover it in depth or in some sort of video segment.
I lost sleep because of Abandoned by Disney when I was a teenager. The way Slime Beast wrote still sends shivers down my spine! I never dived too deep into creepypastas because of AOD. Actually, it's because of the fear that AOD gave me, I discovered the SCP Foundation.
It's like Disney took a look at the corruption stories in the early 2010's and thought "Why not make those stories real?" What's sad is their real world corruption is hardly as entertaining as the stories we made back then.
Thank you for making this, Abandoned by Disney is a really interesting creepy pasta for me, and I have been wanting something like this
Imagine Disney working hand-in-hand with the SCP Foundation but doing a shitty job at containing.
I remember room zero and Abandoned by Disney. Especially the original creepypasta. It was one of the actually scary ones in my childhood. I didnt really care about suicide mouse, or Sonic.exe, but ABD definitely was more grounded in reality and that was intense. I never knew it was a trilogy, but I really like it

"Thats when the snake opened its eyes-" Immediately lost my immersion. Snakes done have eye lids and are incapable of closing their eyes.
Luckily it's not in the story. :D
I like the other creepypasta’s that popped up at the time while I was in middle school, but Disney creepypasta’s always stuck to me even as an adult. Never been a fan of Disney since I was a kid cause I always had a strange feeling like something is wrong there, wolfs in sheep’s clothing moments if you will. Abandon by Disney is one of my favorite creepypasta stories that it has me coming back to it
Honestly, I’m thinking about the idea of abandoned by Disney as an analog horror series, similar to that of the back rooms. Whilst I personally love the creepy pasta story account the most, I cannot help but ponder how it would’ve turned out if a story like this was made into analog horror
I've looked for it and sadly haven't seen.much
"I wasn't going to say anything because I'm pretty tolerant, but please stop admitting children without faces. They won't stay in the guest areas." The fact this is the biggest issue they find with children without faces as if it's normal for people to be (literally) faceless-
Well unless those people I see without faces from time to time are actually there.
Underrated channel I swear keep up the good work man! Love your videos!
With Mickey apparently reaching public domain, things might get interesting.
i was freaked out by this when i was younger, nice to see it being talked about
The faceless kids are from another Disney creepypasta
i've been a huge theme park geek basically my entire life so this set of stories really holds a special place in my heart and i always love finding other stuff with a similar vibe. and just slimebeast's stories in general, dude has a lot of talent, especially for stories of nostalgic stuff that Goes Wrong
This creepypasta scared me when I was first getting into them now a days my only question is how wouldn’t the old abandoned resort not be a homeless camp or drug den
That'd be crazy if the snake opened its eyes, considering snakes don't close their eyes.
first video I've seen from this channel but I like what i see quite a lot, i like scary story/horror videos but am not a fan of when RUclipsrs add unnecessary creepy noises and random images and so on
love the video
Man I remember watching these videos during covid, under the blanket not doing any school work
Good times
I might be wrong but can’t you be banned for life from Disney parks for stepping in private or abandoned property?
The treasure island. Where all abandoned stuff is left behind.
There is another Suicide mouse.Avi but there is the oldest one & the remastered. But in the remastered version is when mickey is walking but then runs but his body is different & his arms is skinny. Once until he runs, his eyes falls off & a girl was screaming. There is also a FNF version. Old & New mod.
"The snake opened its eyes and slithered away,"
Now I know this story is fake. Snakes can't close their eyes.
TBH I think the reason ABD blew up is that it marketed itself as a creepypasta, yet its not scary. In fact, you might even feel pity for the inverted Mickey.
Watching this now before Disney copyright strikes it.
Naw, Slimebeast will copyright strike this way before Disney even knows it exists. He's notorious for it.
What? He dislikes people narrating his stories?
@@bartzacky9639 as a matter of fact yea. Don't quote me on that but I think it has to do with people profitting from his work on youtube (which if so would be kinda ironic considering he uses Disney as a basis for his own work). He's also been known to take down a couple of videos talking shit about his work, like the Bad Creepypasta episode on Abandoned by Disney. I’m not an adult so this scared the sh!t out of me. But even if you’re an adult this is still terrifying. D:
I would never go in an abandoned place without a gun how crazy must you be there are No numbers of how meny went missing after that
I think I should mention that Five Nights at Treasure Island was TECHNICLY the First FNAF Fan Game and DEFINITLY the first one to go viral on YT.
Room Zero’s just far better, there’s a nice lack of the paranormal, meaning that this *couldve* happened, even if it clearly didn’t.
The nostalgia from that creepy background music
I agree Disney has lost it's way. I don't think Walt had a vision of this when he risked everything to create Disneyland. Yet there are people who are determined to expose Walt himself, and yes he was a human. But the world today just loves tearing people down. They wake up everyday wanting to expose something, get something cancelled, or bring up some bad encounter they've had.
Disneyland, and Disney world were created for the purpose of leaving your troubles behind for just a bit. Sadly today the Disney Company has become a large souless corporation. They are trying to change society , impose their views on what society should be. They are pricing out families from visiting their parks.
Abandoned by Disney necer really scared me, and u honestly feel like the monster mickey at the end was a cop out ending.
