- America's colleges are in chaos, and in the eye of the storm, President Joe Biden is absent.
In a wave of activism, anti-Israel encampments have erupted on campuses nationwide.
Fueled by a demand for a Gaza ceasefire and a cessation of university ties with Israel, many students are putting political issues ahead of their education.
Yet, beneath the surface of these protests lies a troubling current of anti-Semitism and an anti-Israel sentiment.
Recent crackdowns at Columbia University and UCLA signal authorities' attempts to quell the unrest.
But with the Middle East engulfed in conflict, these campus demonstrations are poised to persist.
And here i thought college was supposed to make you smart. Just proves that they don't.

So far as the protest at Columbia is concerned the student protesters have the right to free speech. Even if it’s labeled “hate speech” it’s still protected speech. However, they don’t have the right to destroy private property, trespassing, disturbing the peace, criminal mischief, and vandalism. If they were arrested for illegally entering a private building and destroying it, then that’s on them. They went from peaceful protest, which is protected, to violently taking control of a private building, which is not a protected activity. You can’t break the law and then whine about the consequences. Civility demands accountability. Peacefully protest all you want, just keep it civil.
What israel should do is have the alumnus and all donors is pull out their support of these universities see how long they will last

People need to realize that Gaza has only around 13% of all Palestinians in the world. There is over 3 times as many residing in Jordan and over twice as many in the west bank. The

Not correct, most of these protesters belong to social sciences. Any case their jobs are paid by grants and aids (NGO, charity etc). Hardly Engineering or Medical students are part of these protests.
