I'm not sure where they researched these statistics and rankings, but it's not reflecting reality. The Explorer and the Pathfinder are dismal in every aspect. Consumer Reports gave the Explorer a 49/100 and a reliability rating of worse. The Pathfinder got a 45/100 and also a worse rating in reliability. The top rated Kia Telluride got a 87/100 and a average reliability rating as well as a excellent rating for owner satisfaction. For a smaller SUV, the Subaru Forester was the top contender with a 87/100 and above average reliability with a very good rating in owner satisfaction. Consumer Reports buys vehicles undercover and is testing them under real world conditions. They're not biased as they're not accepting any monies from manufacturers. So, the ratings here are consistent apparently with a biased mind. Car & Driver magazine concurs with Consumer Reports' findings. Maybe the author should have researched more extensively before making recommendations. Just my two cents...
Thank you for bringing up these important points. Consumer Reports and Car & Driver are indeed reputable sources for vehicle reviews and their insights are valuable for potential buyers. It's crucial to consider multiple sources, including real-world testing and owner feedback, when evaluating vehicles. The discrepancies you've highlighted between our rankings and those from Consumer Reports and Car & Driver suggest that there are varying perspectives on these models. It's a reminder that vehicle evaluations can differ based on the criteria and methodologies used. We strive to provide accurate and helpful information, and your feedback underscores the importance of thorough and diverse research. We'll certainly take this into account for future content to ensure a more comprehensive and balanced view. Thank you for your insightful comment and for encouraging more rigorous research standards. Your input is greatly appreciated!
I'm glad that you took my criticism as constructive. I've tried to avoid coming across negative but rather helpful at least in my eyes. I hope that I didn't step on anyone's toes. I'm just a car nut and former car mechanic for many decades. I've obviously owned many cars of all sorts and friends and family always come to me when it's time for a new car. They all still speak to me so I must have done something right. Keep up the good work and continue producing quality content and a flawless production. It's greatly appreciated from my little corner of the universe.

On the positive side, the visual presentation and narrative was flawless. It was produced very professionally. Kudos for that 👏 👌
