- Rebuilding the NC30 with the help of my apprentice mechanics
This has been a father & son's project and I've tried to encourage my boys to get involved and learn new skills, pick up the spanners and at the same time have some quality time together (anything to get them off their Xbox). I bought this bike as a lockdown project to keep me busy.
#motorcyclerestorations #VFR400R #NC30 #90SSPORTSBIKE
At least you gave them a REAL bike to assemble... Perhaps the greatest motorcycle ever made.
Proper bike 😃
This video just made my day. Congrats on the effort and love to acomplish this outstanding result. Watching a family working together on a project like this touched my heart
Glad you liked it. It makes us smile when we read comments like that ☺
Each time I watch that movie I'm more certain that this tiny little bike was the climax of motorcycle industry. Since then, nothing else matters...
Lucky me that I got my hands on my own NC30 10years ago. 😇
They are such iconic little bikes aren't they. We should be really privileged to own one 😍
@@MarkReynoldsRestorations yes we are privileged. Except the fact that it becomes increasingly laborious to fold my frame onto the footrests (signs of old age)😖
So good to see young boys doing this. And young girls are welcome to do it too
It's a thing of beauty, father & his boys working in harmony, bike looks amazing too.
Thanks for the feedback, it means alot 🙂
Amazing how easy it is with child labour! Fantastic job - now I have to aim for this👍
All vfr bikes or generations are the best sounding bikes with aftermarket exhaust. Sounds like high revving mini v8s.
Bravo kids! This is how you will become men! You have great parents!
nice to see young lads getting to it , and working on a great bike well done lads .
Skills for life 😁
Top 3 most gorgeous bikes. I think it's awesome to see your son's putting together the bike.
Thank you, really makes all the hard work worthwhile seeing all these positive comments 😁
Love this bike
Since it appeared in the recommended video, if you start watching it casually, it is not adults but young people who are maintaining it! ??
Each movement was snappy, and I was impressed to see it.
From the explanation, I was able to confirm that my father's education policy was wonderful.
Thank you for publishing a very nice video.
Since it is a translated sentence with translation software, I am sorry if there is a sentence that seems unpleasant.
ビデオを楽しんでくれてうれしいです。それは素晴らしい父の息子の時間でした。うまくいけば、彼らがこれらの素晴らしいオートバイに対する私の情熱を続けてくれることを願っています.訳ありも。
This popped into my recommend videos again and I had to watch it for the second time. Absolutely amazing. I'm looking for my own NC30 project now. 😆
LOVE YOUR WORK GUYS ..Geza mt waverley. MELBOURNE australia 🇦🇺.. 🇦🇺
Great to see it getting love all over the world 😊
Well done lads!! That's a job alot of adults would struggle to get done, you guys made it look easy.
Awesome Family Hobby!
How cool is this working with these youngsters! 👍🏼
Anything to get them off their Xboxes 😆
This is one father you should be proud i wish i can do the same with my kids when they are older at the same bike too
We had so much fun putting this together. 😊
@@MarkReynoldsRestorations wish you all the run with your family :) all the respect to you sir :)
This is ace, father and his lads building an awesome bike. One of the bikes I regretted selling
😊 hopefully they will remember this for years to come 😍
i love it thank you for Rebuilding the NC30
😊
Nice to see you guys in Practical Sportsbikes 😀
😆 I've not got my copy yet. Ordered it online 😁
@@MarkReynoldsRestorations Hey, I live in Germany and got it already today! Thanks to the Magazine Man.
Congrats, having such skilled boys for mechanics..., beautiful NC30 as well, Cheers Tom
Thank you, hopefully they've learnt skills for life 🙏
Great work !👍
excellent work, congratulations
Such a beautiful bike, the legendary vfr400. Would be a dream job to assemble motorcycles
The NC30 wouldn't look out of place in a showroom of new bikes
@@MarkReynoldsRestorations think it would draw much attention
Lovely Machine I did 4400 miles and owned One in the late 80s
its like you're assembling a brand new bike. marvelous. truly impackable.
This iconic little bike deserves the best treatment.
Absolutely Amazing dudes!!!
😊 thank you.
Nicely done. Lots of original parts too!
Thanks. My aim was to keep it as original as possible 😊
@@MarkReynoldsRestorations i tried that and quickly found it would've taken me ages to find correct bits. Great little bikes though. Just doing number 4 this winter lol
@@brittenv1000 I had an NC30 25 years ago, it was my first proper bikes. Loved it.
@@MarkReynoldsRestorations I found it hard to rev them high at first but they are a different beast above 9k
@@brittenv1000that tall 1st gear too 😍
My God you guys rock ..keep on keeping on

素晴らしい👏
私はF3仕様のNCに乗ってますがここまで綺麗なものを見せられると惚れてしまいます!!!!
ありがとうございました。彼らは素晴らしい小さなバイクです。
I would argue that the NC30 is better proportioned than the RC30. This restoration looks like perfection to me. More exotic than anything Italian :) Great job!
Definitely deserving of all the love and attention it got 😍
@@MarkReynoldsRestorations 100%
@@MarkReynoldsRestorations The paint job looks so good. So many bikes I have seen where the lines don't flow, because of a dog s**t paint job.
Beauty! restoration.
i used to own one of these . i would trade my current 1999 gsxr750 srad for it if im completly honest. i love the sound they make and they handle so well. You did a great job
These are worth 3 times more than a 99 SRAD now.
Awesome, beautiful bike well done 👍
You know that’s them hooked for life😅I rebuilt an RGV250 with my lad a few years back. That said he’s now embarked on a career in engineering cnc machining/ fabricating so I reckon he will come in useful for the next build. Fantastic build thanks for sharing.
That was the plan 🤣.
Great to have someone in the family with extra skills 😉
Amazing work!
Very nice restoration
Absolutely superb job lads 👏🏻👍🏻. That’s one stunning rebuild to the highest standard 👍🏻. Would have been nice to hear it running as that engine is one of the greats by Honda.
There is a video on here of the first road test. Also some clips on my Instagram page @man_cave_projects
凄いですね😃懐かしいのもあります。ノーマルのマフラーは大変だったでしたね。チームワークがいいのも素晴らしいですね。
Brilliant.. great to see young lads doing stuff like this ..a job well done
Wow Looks absolutely mint this!! Would love a old school bike like this, Hope if I have boys they’ll be as interested too as your lads. Good on them helping you and learning rather than being on computers or stuck in front of the tv! Hats off to them.
Anything to get them off their Xboxes. Making memories too.
Absolutely beautiful bike! The NC-30 was and is one of the greatest bikes HONDA or any other manufacturer ever made. Unfortunately here in the USA we never had the opportunity to purchase this machine. As was and is the case with many other incredible JAPANESE sport bikes ( NOT AVAILABLE IN USA).
Over the recent years I've seen quite a few NC30's from the UK being imported to the USA.
Beautiful work! 👌
My dad has 1, it broke down 6 years ago and been left under our carport since I want to do a full restoration on his it’s such a beautiful bike
Hopefully this video will give you inspiration to make a start on it.
Wow stunning 😍
Great job,kids!
Thank you 😊
This boys knows how to play with big toys👍👍👍💪💪💪❤️❤️❤️
Better than any Xbox 👍
Great job.
This is just amazing. If only I had the time and patience. Well done.
I dont mean to be so offtopic but does anybody know a trick to log back into an Instagram account?
I stupidly lost my password. I love any tips you can offer me.

@Kolton Jeffrey i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site thru google and Im waiting for the hacking stuff atm.
Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
@Kolton Jeffrey It worked and I now got access to my account again. Im so happy!
Thank you so much you saved my ass!
@Darren Yehuda glad I could help xD
Wow 😲👏👏 excellent work boys. This has literally made my day.

It's all the original parts, just lots of hours refurbishing them.

Stunning example, nice one guys.
Great to see the two young fellas rebuilding a peice of history. Great job 👍
I just recently done my vfr750 a year ago. Not to is extent though. What a build. Aee your post on the vfr facebook page. 👍
Great to see lots of love for these little bikes 😁
good brother! fine VFR!
This is amazing
Enhorabuena por el padre y los hijos 🙏

Very good restoration works.
The ultimate Lego build for these boys.

I have just created my concept on this framework .... fabulous 🔥🔥🔥
🙂 what project are you working on? I seriously had so much fun putting this together, quality time with my boys too 🙂
@@MarkReynoldsRestorations Im so glad you asked for that and I appreciate your concern, also you guys are way more experienced and have more practical knowledge. However the concept I'm working on is done in 2D and 3D software by my own. Nice job ! i'm just getting my 1990 nc30 too. Did you restore the shock absorber too o did you buy a new one ? ( mine is really rusty)
thanks a lot and congratulation !
I had it rebuilt. Everything was stripped down and cleaned up then zinc plated. The spring was powdercoated. Pictures on my Instagram page at the link below.

@@MarkReynoldsRestorations Thank you so much for your advise. I have the same bike but imported from Japan in 1994 ( there is even the original japan stickers :) on it. So i am in the same spirit than you to keep it maximum with original parts. i have the possibility to do by my self powder coating. For zinc plated, i have to find somebody in north of france ( i'm from Lille ;) ). Do you also paint frame sub , frame, fork etc ... ? because it looks really brand new
@@Olfox2 I just cleaned them up. Good luck with your restoration.

Good job
fantastic from italy 😎🤙
Great to see these iconic little bikes are getting love all over the world. 😁
Hi fab video. Any future plans to break it down into longer segments covering what went right and wrong? Would love to see a longer set of videos.
I upload other videos and pictures on my Instagram page. @man_cave_projects
Amazing
I hope these boys understand how lucky they are..
I don't think they do just yet but hopefully in years to come they will look back on this as great memories ☺
Good job friends...🇮🇩
Fantasic video. Great to see 2 future HRC technicians on the job. Had one of these in my mid 20's. So well balanced and so much power for a 400. Would get blitzed over distance in a straight line by the bigger bikes but out corner them any day of the week. Looking for another one now. Mid life crisis here i come, lol. Keep up the great work. Where are you based? Im in Qld Australia.
Same here, midlife crisis, I had one when I was 19 in 1994. Regretted selling it and wanted another for years. Finally got round to getting another.
I'm in the UK
Awesome 🤘🏻 well put together
Thank you, we had great fun building it 😀.
@@MarkReynoldsRestorations did a good job 👍🏻
Fantastic build guys, one of my favorite bikes ever apart from the rear, too bulky!!
Yeah I love the view from the side but the rear doesn't look right with the square rear seat and skinny back wheel.
It all looks perfect for the time .. none of this modern look at my skinny arse modern bollocks
SWIFT JOB GUYS
How do these restoration youtubers get the bike parts?? They seem so new! I would like to make one of my own.
The majority of the parts for this restoration were the originals that have been refurbished.
@@MarkReynoldsRestorations Thank you for answering to the comment :) I had one back in 99 but didn't know it was such a good bike :( Should've kept it
fantastic result, this is an '88 or '89 right? Great seeing the lads working, good on you for handing one a speed wrench over the impact driver, need to learn the "feel" for bolting into aluminum.
It's actually a 92. Wrong colours for the year I know but for me it had to be those colours. Yeah the boys need to learn the correct way first. Build up to the power tools.
I want to build old model like that 💞
Great little bikes to work on. Engineering well ahead of their time 👌
Espectacular!.!.👏🏼👏🏼💪🏻💪🏻😍😍
Gracias 😊
