Adding 550 cord to a boonie hat Stromdrane Blog boonie hat post stormdrane.blogspot.com/2009/0... Stromedrane Lanyard Knot Vid • How to tie a paracord ...
Stormd-R-ane not dane... can't help correcting people...guess this is last bit before dementia sinks in...lol. Now for my serious comments...really good video. I like the idea of using the "lanyard knot" to attach the extra paracord. Those knots can be used in a bunch of different ways after you use the paracord, such as attaching them to a tarp for a shelter, using them on a pack, etc. Nice demo on making the lanyard knot too.
@CouteauDeBoucher thanks a friend of mine from the Irish army told me the same, but he said stich the brim together so you get that frill like effect on the brim then starch it, thanks for replying though :)
hey man instead of a half hitch just do the last loop but pull the loop through, it makes it where it cant fail, if i pull on a half hitch itll come undone if you pull on it like that your gonna break the cord before anything else.
i have a boonie hat with a stiff brim and for some reason i threw it in the laundry now the brim is soft due to the fabric softeners and its annoying how it covers my eyes, any way to make it stiff again??
I used the daisy chain and the lanyard knot! My lanyard on my coat broke, and this was the perfect fix, thanks for posting!
Very nice video. You do a good job of showing how it's done and explaining it. Thanks!
Thanks glad you liked it. I have 3 more, hopefully tonight or tomm
I started with a 8-10 inch length. I left it pretty loose then tightened it down so they would fit over the daisy chain tightly.
great job. Very inventive
