@RaitisRides Agree. But does the top tier hybrid max offset that? Have a 2019 Pilot and that engine seems fine but the Grand Highlander is slightly larger yet the 2 lower engine options are 30hp less.
What’s the point of hopping in the third row when the second row isn’t in place so people can determine the space that’s available, if any? I’ll never understand that.
In the Grand Highlander they make it so you can take it out. If you have that big of an issue of it take it out and put it somewhere. If you aren’t gonna use the third row then why buy a mid-size SUV. Just buy a RAV4 or a 4Runner.

@ Joe Raiti. Why is the maxx engine mated to a 6-speed transmission? Wouldn't Toyota's tried and proven 8-speed tranny or the new 10-speed gearbox do better for both performance and fuel efficiency?
Toyota had such a fantastic 3.5 liter naturally aspirated V6. Why not offering a hybrid with that engine. These new small engines with turbos never last and Toyota has already plenty of Turbo issues with the new Tundra. Probably makes the switch from ICE to BEV easy for Toyota customers.

Man, this has a lot of Mazda styling in it! From control knobs, switches, buttons, to interior materials used on the seats and trim pieces! 🤔 so I guess it was true that Toyota teamed up with Mazda to trade their hybrid technology for Mazda’s affordable interior luxury quality.
Considering the 2023 Highlander starts at $36.6k and can go up to roughly $54k (top trim with options), I am guessing the 2024 Grand Highlander will start in the $40k range, and end somewhere in the $60k range. Going into $80k+ would be stupid, even $70k+ is pushing it. At that point, your paying luxury/Sequoia levels of money. Might as well jump to a almost loaded Tahoe, or Yukon at that point….
Its a full size crossover, but a body on frame three row is bigger than a three row crossover. Therefore, this is a midsize suv overall and the Sequoia is full size
