I’m contemplating buying the Legion go because I wanna be able to play PC games through windows so I can access my Steam and windows store games in addition to needing a portable PC with a trackpad as I have lost winds in my steam library
You won't regret the LEGO. The vrr works great on the ally x, however, when using it as a desktop to an oled monitor or oled tv it causes flicker. Theres youtube videos out on the subject. Vrr is great on ths ally x, but vrr has to be turned off when outputting signal to oled moniters. Defeats its purpose. Now you know why Asus didnt go with oled. Lego is so underrated! All handhelds serve a purpose to the user. For 499 on Amazon its a steal. Reddit has a forum on how to get the speakers to sound great on the Lego. Go to Realtek audio and change to vocal, and adjust the last 3 bars to your liking. That 8.8 screen rocks. So many videos on AAA games settings for the Lego. You wont regret it. Happy playing..
I had a steam deck and have the legion go now. I sold my steam deck because of the legions screen. It just a difference experience with a screen that big. I also installed a 4tb 2280 ssd and dual boot windows and bazzite which is just a custom version of steam os. If you want it just for gaming then the steam deck does the job but if you want a workstation then legion go all the way. I use it as a tablet, photoshop, gaming ect.
I used to have that same Bluetooth speaker you got in the background with the wood grain, I lost it in the forest fire but it's cool to see maybe I'll go reorder one of those again I know the companies switch to making other products but I'm sure I could still find it if I wanted. I think they started making microphones from what I remember.
Glad you like it. BTW, I've been wanting to ask someone. Why you have that red youtube icon next to your username? I've been seeing it alot on some users.
I absolutely agree with you on the PS Portal controller being the best. I've been using a steam deck for 2 years now and I used Chiaki to remote play to the PS5 and it truly is great. We bought a second hand PS portal not long ago so my son could play Astro remotely and I decided to test it as well and yeah, having the PS5 controller on a remote device is just amazing. I love my steam deck and it's still my primary device, but having the PS portal has me using the PS5 more and more each day. I have no desire to use Chiaki anymore now that I get a bigger screen and haptics on the Portal.
Love my modded Legion Go. Has a 2280 4 TB, 25000 145W battery pack that I can slide to lock on vertical mount i repurposed from a portable mophie phone battery pack. Two 180 usb c to usb c help with cable management. Yes its beefy has extra weight. It turned into a lap held gaming. Only wish it had oculink port.
How's now? Do you feel regret yet? I heard the battery would only last for 1 hour. I was planning to buy legion go to play Skyrim anniversary on max graphics
@@TheOneWhoSuffers Not at all, tinkering RivaTuner , Lossless scaling to X2, refresh screen rate to 60Mzh lets me game 1200P(my preferred) to 60 fps without stutters and ghosting. The battery pack gets me 3-3.5 hours on 25 TDP. Mostly play RPG and single player. Installed this Front speaker attachment today which sends the audio to me and the fan noise away, partially solved the audio problem on stock.
If the legion go release an updated pro version with better specs and oled screen, it would be undefeated imo. Its arguably the beat handheld for emulation as well
How? When the original ally often cranks out higher fps and the x is just more powerful with more ram and almost doubt the battery? Aside from the huge display which you can't run games comfortably at that res..why would it be better for emulators?
Though its underpowered and underperforms compared to the other handhelds the switch is still my favorite. Im more of console person i don't like fiddling with games to try to make it work which i heard the downsides of the pc handheld you have to do with some games. I have been thinking getting a steamdeck but I'm wondering about waiting as heard some rumors another one may come out next year.
I love my Lego. Its such an underrated device. Its hard to choose a handheld when it comes to price and functionality. The Lego has more power than the steamdeck and bigger screen. Ally x has vrr but cant be used on oled monitors without flicker. And that higher ram doesnt give a major significant fps change to justify the price and past warranty issues others have had on the ally x. Its a niche market, imagine what this will be like 5 to 10 years from now. The Lego just made sense. Great video. They all serve a purpose to keep us entertained. Keep on playing....
I want one just to use as a mini pc. It's like a smaller, better version of my Surface Pro

Hope Lenovo makes another model with the onexplayerpro specs. I would buy that in a heartbeat

Comparing that pc handheld to a streaming tablet is like comparing water to liquor 😂

Nivida have just announced an APU with similar performance to a laptop 4070. I think stuff is going to go crazy!
Can you do voice dictation instead of using a keyboard on the screen?
Software support by Lenovo is pitiful compared to Steamdeck & Ally. Just something to consider.
can install pubg by using its controller?
Would you consider the Legion a top notch better than the Ally
Never . Even the steam deck oled is better than go
