I just ordered my first R36S (thanks to this channel), because I can barely bring myself to even play my Switch or hook a controller to my phone with a mount. So I'm a long way off from sinking this kinda loot into anything with a controller.
This handheld is almost perfect, it just needs Steam OS. Pre-installling Windows on it is like: you grab the latest cutting-edge sports car engine, you put it in a 50 years old body that's full of rust, which is kept together with rubber bands, it's also on fire, and the tires are flat.
I own the original Onexfly with the 7840u 32 gigs ram and 1 tb storage and I love it. I have owned it forever now. I also would like to let all of you know that yes the directional pad is stiff but after about a month of use it breaks in beautifully and now it's perfect. The best thing about this handheld that sets it apart from all the others is the ability to adjust the VRAM without having to bother with the BIOS. There's an option on it you can adjust it on the fly so to speak there's a video on here showing how to do it. I highly recommend getting the Onexfly but make sure you understand that there are two versions the one I have and the one shown here in this video is the updated refresh of the handheld.

The steam deck is the Best one for most people so unless you know you're going to be playing more demanding games or games that don't work on Linux the Steam Deck is the one to get.

Great review, but CAREFUL! He did a crucial mistake in the recommendation part. The 8840U is not 20% faster, it is the same as the Z1 extreme in the ally, so do not buy this device, I mean it. For 100 bucks more expensive than the Ally X it’s not worth whatsoever. I love the Fly, don’t get me wrong, and there is in fact a more powerful Onexfly, the Onexfly F1 pro. That one indeed comes with the faster chip, the Hx370 or the cheaper version, the hx365 with worse graphics and the device is Oled too! The rest is literally the same, only the chip and screen got changed. However, the “cheaper” version starts at 1099 and if you want the most potent chip, the cheapest it started at is 1330 with early bird price, it’s actually 1399. I know it’s completely unintentional and I love tech weeb, but it’s sadly very misleading and understandably so. Unless you hang out in OneNetbook’s discord all day it’s hard even knowing about the device at all. It hasn’t even properly shipped yet
