- Switzerland has to be one of the most beautiful places in the world! I recently returned from a week in the beautiful country and I want to show you my favorite places. Chasing Sunshine By Veronica i prefer the summer time( Jul, Aug), I’m living in Liechtenstein, the neighbor of Switzerland, summer is the best time to travel here, you can have overview from the mountains, hiking is favorite activity of my family, you can do more outdoor activities, sightseeing. That’s just my point of view, i hope it will help you to have a good decision.

As a Swiss, travelling through Switzerland is more expensive than flying somewhere in Europe for holidays.
but what's expensive on travelling? fuel or road toll?
@@martinkulik9466 Everything. Public transport, the activities, food, renting a car, taking the gondola, getting on a ferry, staying in hotels, etc...
Of course you can find loopholes, like supermarkets instead of restaurants, but this will ruin the quality of your stay. Supermarkets are expensive too, compared to global prices.
I know 😩 I moved here 6months ago, but between the train costs and the gondolas I often find it cheaper to spend a weekend in Germany, Holland, France literally almost any other country in western Europe 😂😂
Yeah, exactly, that's why salary is so high here in Swiss.
When u compare it with prices, it is much better to pay food 2 times more, but have salary 3-4 times biger.
As a spaniard/brazilian going to live in Switzerland, that worries me lol
I went to Switzerland when I was 18. It was like landing on the moon. I’d never seen anything like it. Jagged peaks piercing the sky wherever you look. And behind that? Even taller jagged peaks piercing the sky. Sometimes there was a 3rd layer. It was absolutely unreal

I hear ya! I went to Switzerland when I was 15 and it was phenomenal. Simply breathtaking. Swiss alps, went up to Mount pilatus, we went to lucerne and our tour guide gave us 2 hours of free time. Best experience ever. Found some of that Swiss chocolate and great pizza lol
As a Swiss person I never really notice or realize how beautiful my country really is, recently ive been visiting more places in Switzerland and im so proud to be Swiss 🇨🇭

Lauterbrunnen, I literally cried when I first laid eyes on this incredibly beautiful village. I've been blessed to travel but, this little village with cows, goats and working farms surrounded by incredible views takes the cake. I could die there and be happy about it! 😢

I feel so fortunate to have visited your beautiful country! I'm 68 yrs. old and dreamed of travel my whole life and now get to live my dreams. I literally cried when visiting Lauterbrunnen, that little town.......WOW! Love that the Swiss take care of everything they own!

Switzerland takes care of their land with the environment as their priority, imagine if the rest of the countries did the same.
Is this a joke? In 100-150 depends the speed there will be no more agriculture land in switzerland. From Geneve to Austrian Border just a big city. And every attempt to slow down the extinction was refuted by the swiss people. They want this so enjoy it. Our ancestor fought for freedom not to become a paradise for eritrean conscientious objectors and european immigrants.

The guy was there and didn't figure out how to properly pronounce the place names.

After spending a week in Switzerland, specifically Lauterbrunnen and Wengen, I must say this country is absolutely amazing: spectacular countryside, spotless streets, friendly people, and everything ‘works’.
It's about as perfect as a country can get! So cool you were in Wengen and Lauterbrunnen.
Spotless streets is not that true because of graffiti. In my opinion, Switzerland is one of the worst countries in Europe when it comes to this problem. And it's not only in the cities. For example, when you take the train along Lake Thun towards Interlaken, you see the majestic mountains and glaciers in the distance, but you also see tons of vulgar graffitis all along the way on walls and buildings. It kinda ruins the ambiance, not to mention the pollution of soil that it implies. And it seems to me they're not really doing anything about it.

The amount of swiss people "complaining" about mispronunciation is too damn high. We speak 3 (4) languages and a lot of us can't even understand people in the same country. So feel free to pronounce things as you wish. Im glad you enjoyed these places and you took some awesome shots. I'd like to see more.

Im German but I have to say Switzerland is just the most beautiful country in the world, highly recommend to visit for everybody. You wont see such scenery elsewhere

I have to say. Switzerland is indeed stunning. However. I love Italy and most of all Greece for being incredible countries. Why? Well. Italy and Greece both have amazing mountain sceneries themselves.
And if we would compare all 3 just on mountains alone, Switzerland would be stiff competition and winning that aspect. However. And this is where I say that Italy and to me above all Greece are the most beautiful countries in the world.
The countries Italy (65%) and Greece (80%) are incredibly mountainous, overfilled with stunning landscapes of and are incredibly diverse. Far FAR more diverse than Switzerland. Then Italy has 7500 km and Greece 16.000 km of the most crystal clear coastlines in the world. Greece more crystal clear throughout than Italy.
Both countries are a cultural and historical showcase. Both countries have the highest biodiversity of Europe. Although Greece is 2x smaller, it packs the same amount of Biodiversity as Italy and more biodiversity than Spain which is landwise 3.5x bigger, and Greece has the highest endemicity in Europe, or in other words the most unique species.
This has to do with Greece's next gem. And that is that it possesses next to it's 80% mountains also 6000 islands. So nature grows unique over time. The same applies to geology, nature, culture, local history, traditions, cuisine and so on that all are isolated from eachother giving humongous diversity. To picturesque towns and villages dotted everywhere.
The climate is perfect, the food is heavenly and so much more. From Greece being one of the most natural hotspring rich nations in the world with 800 natural hotsprings, to geologial paradises and so on. It's almost ridiculous to have a country of just 132.000 km2, packing all the diversity of nations 10-90x bigger.
I love Switzerland. Don't get me wrong. The video shows it's own stunning beauty. But in Italy and Greece you never get bored of the tremendous beauties in all facets. If I do every day something different, I will never have a day where I say, ugh I can't stand this or that anymore. And in Greece you don't have to travel 2000 km for the first mountains, or 1200 km for the first sea, or 800 km for the first important historic site.
In Greece you can do all of it every single day at any corner of the country.
You could be in massive mountains in the morning and while hiking be surprised of not only the much more diverse nature, but also all of a sudden finding a historic site. Then later on the day go swimming in the most incredible seas. Refresh yourself and eat heavenly food in a picturesque town with the most beautiful sunset on the sea. The is a unique beauty that in it's greatest form is almost seen nowhere else on the planet like it.

Hi Ryan, I am happy to hear that you enjoyed your time in this beautiful Country (Switzerland), my adopted home now. I'm from Mexico but I lived for many years in USA, got married, had 2 boys,got a divorce and after the kids became men themselves I decided to go back to my Motherland (Veracruz, Mexico), unfortunately the violence and criminality the has devoured it made me look towards other horizons ,but definitely not the North again. So I decided to take a trip to Switzerland where a met a beautiful woman with a heart much bigger than this Land. After a year of keeping contact and a couple of visits from to Mexico, we decided to get married, the best chance in my entire life that I have taken. Since then (16 years now and counting) I learned the Language/s,I have a super job and I'm Swiss now,thanks to my beautiful wife. So yes,I agree with you; this is the most beautiful and Special Country in the World. Laugh and Live Life !! Peace for the World. Ciao.

I have been to over 75 countries and I can tell u that my home country Switzerland still amazes me everytime I go for a hike or a bike ride. It is maybe not a budget destination but for sure u get much for your money if u love mountains, rivers and lakes. As for this video I am happy to see that u mentioned some of the truly best places of switzerland. You should also go and see the Aletsch Area in Wallis and St. Moritz. And for next time please spend some coins more and buy the real good swiss chocolate and an ice tea from migros. Thats more swiss than the american fast food or coke ;)

I recommend to visit the edge of le lac Léman (Geneva Lake) but the opposite from Geneva side. Montreux, le Bouveret, and Chillon Castel...

Switzerland is beautiful. I went there in 1988 with my friend. We visited the Piz Gloria revolving restaurant in Murren.This was used in the James Bond movie " On Her Majestys Secret Service", as Blofelds premises, played by Telly Savalas.Its like heaven looking across the skyline on the mountaintop where the hotel is. All the clouds were below you, it's amazing. The Jungfrau mountain lights up gold when the sun hits it. Yes it's expensive,but it's an experience you'll never forget, and when I was single and had my own money, I didn't care how much things cost!

Good list. I like that you mention the Alpstein area (Appenzell) first; the Bernese Alps (Lauterbrunnen, Grindelwald, Oeschinensee) is my favourite region as well, however, although the Jungfraujochbahn is spectacular is too pricey if you're on budget. Another place which can be considered are the mountains in the Zentralschweiz, e.g. Rigi, Pilatus or Stoos (Fronalpstock). It's not in the middle in the mountain massive but on a clear, sunny day you have a beautiful view. And of course there are many other places/routes in the mountain cantons which are not that super spectacular but there you can enjoy the nature away from the tourist streams.
