    Great video DJ love Dominoes.Just a different rule in all fives, or Muggins when I played is the player going first draws the bone with the highest number of pips before the shuffle and not the highest double, as you've explained here.Then after the first round play continues to the left clockwise, and starts with player 2 and not the player that dominoed or won the last round.

    Don't wish to complicate things but you can also play All fives ( Muggins) on a Cribbage board. When using a cribbage board the point totals during play are as follows. (5 10, 15 etc) and divided by 5, yielding 1 2 3 etc. End of hand bonus points are still given full value (in which case they become even more important) Games played using a cribbage board are typically played to a score of 61.

    Block with 4 players is way harder. Capetown Block Rules is harder than that. Winning on a Milo gives 2 points,if you have all doubles in your hand and win a game because of tell and your partner and it's the first game and you haven't asked for a reshuffle it counts as auto-win the boom also you would be a dominoes God.

    The Bogus rule does sound complicated I must say. If someone tries to play a 3 on to a 1 think Id be more inclined to point it out to he/she and just continue with game.😅 😅😅

      believe it or not sometimes these plays will sneaker under the radar in an intense game where you take it for granted everyone knows how to play. I've seen it happen many times with very experienced players

    When

    Why is the spinner scored as part of the 15 but not included into the subsequent score of 5, which is played a few moments later? When is the spinner included in scoring and when is it excluded?

    • @playingbones
      @playingbones  19 дней назад +1

      Great question, the spinner is counted when it is exposed. For example 6/6 has 6/3 played on it for 15 points. Or if it played off of on both sides it won't be counted until a domino is played on it. For example 6/6 is the spinner it has 6/3 played on it for 15 points, then 6/2 is played on it on the other side for 5 points. The next play is 6/5 and it played on the spinner which is no in the middle for 10 points. Hope this helps, but I'll make a video explaining this further.

    Good explanation! One question, when you're playing to 150, do you have to finish the hand? Or does a play during the hand end the game if it brings you to 150? Thanks.

    • @playingbones
      @playingbones  9 месяцев назад +1

      Great question! In all fives reaching the target score ends the game. So when you hit 150 the game is over. You Win!

    Great channel! When you’re playing doubles is it more common to play 7 bones (no boneyard) or five to each player? I’ve seen it done both ways but what is the most common ?

    • @playingbones

      thanks for the kind words! I really appreciate it because I'm about to go HARD on creating content. This motivates me even more! For your question I've actually never seen a game of doubles use 5 bones we always use 7. If you can't play you just knock on the table and pass. 😎

    You play the double 5 and continue but never play on the spinner and wind up with the spinner and a blank on each end is that 10 points

    Excellent. I have a few questions if you don’t mind.
    Do all players have to shake the bones every round? Or is it up to the players who wants to or not?
    You said who domino’d in the previous round touches the bones first, do you let them pick all 7/9 ect or just let them start the grabbing before everyone else start grabbing?
    When it’s a 4 player game and your playing every man for themself, should hands be reduced to 5 bones to leave a bone yard? Is that just optional and if so which do you prefer.
    What’s the rule on someone forgetting to call their score or calling the wrong score?
    Are slang expressions like “copy that” and “taxi follow that cab”sufficient for backdooring a score that’s been called or do you have to follow the expression with the score?
    Does the score keeper need to announce his score?
    Is resigning a thing in real life?
    Is there any difference in rules for 9-Rock?
    Do you know or a place to play 9-Rock and games of 3&4 players online?
    Will you be making a video on how to play doubles?

    • @playingbones
      @playingbones  9 месяцев назад +3

      My man! Here you go...
      1. Do all players have to shake the bones every round? Or is it up to the players who wants to or not?
      Nope only the person who plays right before the person who dominoe'd is the dish washer.
      2. You said who domino’d in the previous round touches the bones first, do you let them pick all 7/9 ect or just let them start the grabbing before everyone else start grabbing?
      Nope, just give them the courtesy of touching them and getting the first grab but once he touches em its a free for all.
      3. Are slang expressions like “copy that” and “taxi follow that cab”sufficient for backdooring a score that’s been called or do you have to follow the expression with the score?
      These are absolutely sufficient! "Taxi follow that cab" is an awesome OG line lol. I also love "Get out the Xerox machine! Same 10!"
      4. Does the score keeper need to announce his score?
      Nope, not really but most players in tune with the game are always looking at the peg board or notepad and are asking what the count is. Knowing the score is crucial especially when you have domino as to what you want to play.
      5. Is resigning a thing in real life?
      Yeah if you're getting demolished and you're in a mini series like best of 5 or something I'll def say "you can have this one new game" and start a new game. But also you never know what can happen in just one hand. I'm gonna teach the hail marry strategy on the channel soon or in my course ;-) which makes it possible to come back in almost any game.
      6. Is there any difference in rules for 9-Rock?
      Nope 9 Rock Rules are the same you just draw 9 to start instead of 7 and only 3 players can play not 4.
      7. Will you be making a video on how to play doubles?
      Heck Yeah! Doubles is my favorite game. Actually it's what we play more at our domino parties.
      Thanks for your support as always!

      This bit about the player who won the last round touching the bones, before play proceeds to the next is unessesary I think and has more to do with superstition than anything else I think. 😂
