I started watching you for the funny shorts, but stayed for the long form stuff. I really like the concept of this video! No script, no overediting, just what happens and it's just enough for me at least. As you mentioned in the comments, most of the videos these days are either quick short or full of action and stuff and it's just so tiring at times, especially if you are doomscrolling and procrastinating. I am trying to learn how to draw, but get frustrated with things like people and animals, perspectives and angles etc. so it's not as fun. But seeing someone who I think of as a good artist just saying "lol just get it done" is particularly motivating. Good content

Your house being such a silent place feels like a liminal space, like outside your windows and doors there's nothing rendered. Like you exist as a prisoner inside my screen. I click on the play button, and you are forced to repeat the same words and actions again and again. And there's a small pain in your eyes that feels so aware of the calamities we all inflict upon each other. I guess I'm just used to all the bustling noise outside my own window. Will I ever be able to become trapped inside another person's screen?

I don't draw much anymore, my confidence in my drawing was seriously damaged to the extreme, and its difficult to pick a pencil up again (beyond quick thumbnails for my graphic design), but you have at least made me consider it again. that's very heartwarming, hopefully my daily drawing can help you become more motivated to draw everyday as well. as for only being able to do quick graphic design. you can always produce art in the most accessible way to you and there's no shame to that. You can even create something unique to you based off of what you have the skills to do and what you have access to

Nothing needs to be perfect. Do it to enjoy it. Don't care too much about it, just do it. I appreciate the raw and constructive focus of this video; definitely what I needed when all I felt like doing was procrastinating to push off the eventual self-fulfilling prophecy slump of failure. It's so true what you said about developing consistency to make drawings daily, it ends up being a chore and you lose all interest. On thing that keeps me from being consistent with stuff is thinking about streaks. Like with reading I've noticed that when i look at the kindle streak it just stresses me out and I don't want to think about it. The only thing that has kept me consistent in stuff like that, reading, exercise, not drawing unfortunately, is just by doing it, and not thinking anout how much I have done or about how consistent I want to be, just focusing on the thing itself

I think hearing you talk about consistency and just doing things instead of worrying about perfection helped me a bit with my own struggles. I keep telling myself to draw and be consistent to practice, im a noob at this stuff and i want to improve. I just gotta do it. My plan is to work daily practice into a routine, im thinking of picking things around my place to draw. Or is that too much to start with? I really have no clue but to draw is better than not drawing when it comes to practice. Also, i hope you feel better and recover from sickness well. I think I'm better from the sickness. but if you are struggling with consistency try to get rid of all the mental barriers. if you are having trouble deciding what to draw? have someone decide for you. drawings take to long? just draw on a smaller page or a timer. There are always ways to get around mental barriers you just have to look at your own situation and find out the small things you can change yourself in the moment

Yes I make money from RUclips and my sticker store. I'm not employed to anyone but myself, it's up to you if you consider that actual employment or not. But personally I feel like the life of the NEET is for people who want to not participate in the system, or feel isolated by it. I feel like you can still be a NEET at heart regardless of employment or education. its wanting to do your own thing
the two times i've done daily drawings, roping in someone else to trade drawings with definitely helped, though both times they were never really consistent with sending drawings back. First time was in 2020, for 366 days on the dot to start and end on my birthday, and this round is just about to hit day 100 when i get today's done. Watched this while drawing and it was really relaxing hearing you talk about stuff and your process on drawing. Also, the Mecha Elephant looked really cool I guess overall what I'm saying is, I hope you make more of these kinda videos :p
a couple years back I drew for 500 days straight, one thing I will say is that it's helpful to keep small goals in mind. For example, at first going for 10 days streak, leading into 25 then 50 then 100 and so on. For me at least, it helped to keep myself going as I was 'always close to that goal.'
Probably the only negative comment here but i feel like this is fake, i am an introvert and somewhat of a neek but i do work full time in retail which is a really weird contrast. But all i do is work and then come home and relax. I play video games, i live alone and i like it that way. Though i love the people i work with, absolutely amazing unique people but being who i am, an introvert and neek no matter how many times they ask me to stay behind, hang out or do something i can't. My most treasured thing in the world is making people happy and i think thats why i can do my job and be social and the reason i think this way is because my life has been horrible. Experiencing a horrible life has made me appreciative of the things that can make me happy so in turn, it makes me or motivates me to inspire and make others happy. I'd be interested to know how others feel so that maybe i could improve myself and be more open to friendly relationships. Honestly when people open up and tell me they like me and want to hang out i just spiral into an abyss and just can't picture myself hanging out with anybody, just trusting people is hard for me. So i just shut myself out and ignore anyone that shares an interest. I really do love people and want to socialize but i can't and it hurts so bad. Any advice would be welcome.
The fact that you felt comfortable enough to share that in this comments section clearly shows you felt something real and relatable. I reccomend just trying to find a few people to hang out with regularly. I feel like people with social anxiety need frequent social interactions to get used to it, In a controlled environment at least. It's pretty normal to not feel comfortable with people at first, it just takes time and effort of talking to the same people to build.a relationship

I had my first pen not too long.For some reason every time I pushed it down when drawing the tip would also go deeper inside until the entire tip went inside the pen and I couldn’t draw with it anymore.Is there something I was doing wrong with it or was it just a cheap knock off😢
