I don't think anyone should take his answers literally, but the whole video gives you insights on how to answer those kinda questions utilizing your experiences.
Hi Richard, I want to let you know that your video helped me a lot to get my intern engineer job at baker hughes. I am really delighted and excited to have the opportunity to take my career to the next level.
Hi Adilson, I just applied for the intern position at Baker Hughes. Do you mind if I reach out to you? Would really help if you could provide some suggestions. Thanks!
A problem with me is that I have the skills that I need to perform as an engineer yet my verbal skills do not reflect this. Because of my ADD, it is always a struggle for me to communicate my thoughts in a structured manner (sometimes) and I struggle with remembering things too. How can I overcome this? I am already a mechanical engineer and I was lucky to achieve the job I have at the moment but I am fearful of not being able to move up due to my struggles. Thank you
A year late, but I wonder if you prefaced your interview with having needing accommodations as they relate your ADD difficulties they could allow you to utilize a statement of facts or a pre screen of the questions to allow you to best prepare? I have seen on resumes the questions of rights to reasonable accommodations for disabilities and other wise categories that fit. I lived with a survivors guilt on my military injuries for quite some time and it is only now I bear it well to honor them and my own sacrifice without shame, especially if it is offered for persons with difficulties such as yours and mine. Asking for such accommodations may speak values to your character and opens doors for topics that can benefit you and build an early relationship on vulnerability. Best of luck!
Hi Richard , Great video you have produced here, I really enjoyed it, great content. I particularly enjoyed the part at 1.00 explaining how to pass an engineers interview. Had similiar interview questions. I felt it was really informative and you really brought the points across well. I am really interested in engineering and have had a career in maintenance engineering for over 28 years from everything from starting as a mechanics assistant to now a Project Manager. I enjoy sharing my skills and knowledge as well with others like yourself. I have provide training to others and had apprentices work with me to kick start there careers. Many thanks, Great job.
Hi again, I passed the first engineering interview, I guess your videos helped me a lot, I have the next interview on first week of January which will be more technical and more into the engineering specially on Revit. Together with the interviewer we agreed that during this time until the second interview I will develop my skills further on Revit software which I will be occupuied on this job. My question is: - Shall I ask the interviewer with an email asking from him some preliminary documents or projects which would help me practice only for the topics necessary. What do you think? I'm looking forward to your reply for what to do on this case. -thanks in advance

My main concern with these answers is that they are so well-structured that they seem rehearsed and may come across as scripted. That might put the potential employer off.
