    As an employer, a lot of qualities that we want to see in a candidate with 0-2 years of experience is not only their knowledge but their attitude when they are given a question they don't know the answer to. Thank you for preparing the next generation of young engineers to enter this fantastic field!

    I have been asked so many technical questions when interviewing for small companies. Large companies never ask those. But get ready to go as far as doing structural design problems when interviewing for a small company.

    I think technical interview questions are becoming the norm now. My first ever interview for the job that I got hired for, I did an 40 minute exam where I got tested on statics, beam analysis and as well as analyzing drawings. I was totally not expecting that but luckily I answered it all correctly due to the solid foundation I had in those areas. So do prepare for everyone who's about to have interviews.

      @@billy4958 well, be your self and treated as if you were having a casual chat with your friend. Review your basic statics and all that technical stuff if you haven't already done so. Do some research about the company and cater your responses to that. Also don't be afraid to ask questions as well. Your ultimate goal is to show them that you are a good addition to their team both socially and technically. I wish you the best of luck.

    Have you written down your responses to commonly asked interview questions for your 1st or 2nd interview? if yes please make a video on it. Because as a recent graduate its very hard to develop those answers and tailored it back to your story and the industry.

    • @MatPicardal
      @MatPicardal  3 года назад +1

      You can find plenty of resources online on how to properly answer and make an outline of responding to those common questions. The hard part is tailoring it to your story, and that's different for everyone, because it's your experience. If you're having trouble finding experiences, recall group projects, or any volunteer projects, professional/student engineering organizations/competitions you participated in. And if you're not in any of those, that's one of the reasons to get involved. It helps build your resume and your experiences that you can talk about.
