What advantage does this have against anydesk or teamviewer?

Let me confirm for you 100% that it does. It even works when you aren’t at home with one caveat.

Using NATted IP addresses. Wake up maybe fussy under these rare conditions. Any other time though, your Mac will wake up even if now and then, there is a few seconds of delay before the wake up happens.

Will this work on a closed network as in no internet? just via a router with main machine connected?
This is only within the Wi-Fi range right you can't go outside and connect using cellular data
I believe it does work with cellular data. But the connection wont be as strong as wifi.
@@macprotips I can confirm that. But again, especially for intensive things like video, so connection will need to be strong.

Video needs updating. At 3::05 you show downloading the App on your iPad, with no mention or display of needing to pay $14.99 (one-time purchase) in order to proceed. Perhaps it was still free when you posted this video (1 year ago) but now it definitely will not allow installation on the iPad without paying $14.99. Nice to save $35 by not downloading the MacOS version on your desktop, thanks. But putting it on any remote device like ipad is NOT free.

no it can be minimized. and bluetooth keyboards work as well

The only problem I’m having with this otherwise great software is the ability to pass a connected game pad up to the Mac with which you are connected. This software has the beef to stream data and graphics. But, does anybody know how, if at all, to pass the game pad connected to your iPad or local device up to the Mac with which you are connected? It doesn’t matter if it’s done using this software or some other software. But can it be done?
There shouldn’t be a technical limitation as I have used shadow to do some gaming and it will pass your game pad up to their servers.
But using Jump desktop or any software, have any of you who is reading this been able to pass a gamepad up to the Mac with which you are connected?
I haven't attempted that with a gamepad, but I will definitely try. will report back.
@@macprotips any luck with this? I continue to use this software as it has lightning fast latency and does games well. But I still haven’t figured out a way to use a game pad such as the Xbox game pad connected to the iPad.

This video is completely false. You cannot avoid paying or subscribing by downloading from their web site. You can sign up for a 2-week trial in Mac but still have to pay the separate $14 on the iPad to download the app and they also demand that you subscribe to Jump Desktop teams. And all I want to do is control my Mac with iPad from the other room without buying expensive software on each device and subscribe.
14$ is not expensive.
