Lyrics:
Oh it's been too many times and I can't go back
Night bars, guitars, rundown motels like shacks
What it mounts up to I don't want it at all
Lost you and I want you today
Misty green and blue
Love to love to love you
Misty green and blue
Love to love to love you
To be something, to be near you
Don't say that you'll never know
Love to love to love you
Half the time it could seem funny
The other half is just too sad
This west bound moon's only rise and fall
Lost you and I want you today
Misty green and blue
Love to love to love you
Misty green and blue
Love to love to love you
To be something, to be near you
I don't know where I'm goin' to
I've tried and I need you to stay
My husband and I were unique. We met in second grade, were friends, party buddies, and drifted our ways. He crushed on me in 2nd grade, I crushed on him in 7th and thru high school. We drifted apart, but reconnected in 2010. Friends again. In 2012 we were both single and decided to try a serious relationship. He was a drummer, and sent me this song one day and said it reminded him of us. It was our song. We got to see UFO on their final tour and when they played this we both cried. After only 8.5 years married I lost him to bladder cancer just 4 months ago. We were best friends, then lovers, then husband and wife. He was the peas to my carrots. We knew each other 51 years. Ours was a story not many people live; we held that candle for 41 of the 51 years. God, I miss him.
I just lost one of my best friends ever in life he was a he'll of drummer and and band practice in my basement for years he died of a heartattac 57 years young I miss you everyday Auggie Rock on in Heaven my friend😢❤!!!
So very sorry 😢.
@@tomfarr7007so sorry 😢
💙🫂🫶🙏💛💙🤍🕯🤍✨️🙏✨️ Prayers, and Love, May He Rest In Peace and Love.🤍🙏🤍
Thanks for sharing your story and sorry. Isnt it amazing how though we’re all strangers to one another, the soundtrack to our youth was not only the same, but extraordinarily meaningful to us all?
A super memorable track off of one of the greatest rock albums of the 70s. Seemed like the hardest bands around could do a "not quite so hard" track and just nail it.
What an amazing song! For me, this is their finest moment as a band. The guitars, the vocals, the arrangement, the keyboards and drums, and lastly; the orchestra. This song is equal parts emotion, passion, and is profoundly powerful. The live version is fantastic too, in that the guitar solo over the fadeout at the end is sheer brilliance. This is truly epic songwriting and performance at its highest level!!!!
That outro lead is everything lead guitar in a hard rock song is meant to be. It is absolutely brilliant.
amazing
Saw the reunion tour in 1996 original line up, simply a monster show. I had chills
Mr. Paul Raymond 😢
Mr. Pete Way 😢
Mr. Andy Parker
Mr. Phil Mogg
Mr. Michael Schenker
What a Line Up What a Sound What a Álbum
REALLY MISS YOU PAUL RAYMOND . YOU AND UFO, MSG.. WHADDA ROCKER.
Pete Way was a monster on the Bass guitar 🎸. I miss him tons 💔
UFO could do what most bands only dream about, aspire to… in their original 70’s lineup, they could hit the stage and SOUND THIS GOOD LIVE, every time, sometimes, SOMETIMES, I swear they sounded better LIVE than the albums I had at home… 🥹
I so miss those years - decades of 70’s thru late 80’s! - when ROCK CONCERTS were the REAL THING, especially during summers! Music was our ‘social media’ then!
Tickets were cheap ($5-$7 in the 70’s, $12-$18 in the 80’s) and here in the Midwest, we were always within an easy day’s drive in all directions to bigger cities - Chicago, St. Louis, Cleveland, Milwaukee, Indianapolis, etc., so we saw it ALL, when concerts RULED America!! ❤️🎶❤️
Nothing like that now, and never to be again.
I can't wait to hear Axl on this 🔥🔥
He nails it,
Epic song, UFO were such a great band, I was fortunate enough to see them a few times with this, the classic lineup of Mogg, Schenker, Way, Raymond and Parker. Still the best live band musically that I've ever seen, and I've seen a lot of bands live over the past 50 plus years.
What an awesome kick ass band. I got to see this band several times in concert I'm really glad I did.
Australia ?
@terryvogel5252, Same here, saw them twice on this tour with this lineup, and on the Obsession tour. Great band, especially live where they totally kicked ass.
Masterpiece! Bought Lights Out the day it was released in 1977. Seems like yesterday!
Me too, and still listen to those first five Chrysalis studio albums and Strangers In The Night their live album regularly.
Lights out London I’ll always remember that album.
Absolutely One Of The Greatest Live Bands on The Planet Earth 🌎💪🤘
Yeah I saw them live and they put on a fantastic show!
One of the greatest concerts I have ever attended was UFO and Rush at the Santa Monica Civic. Two absolutely incredible bands at the top of their game. Rush was on their Farewell To Kings tour and UFO had recently released Strangers In The Night. My head almost exploded that evening, listening to and seeing live rock from the gods themselves
Best and most underated band of all time. They should have been bigger than most of them. Same with Magnum - Tony Clarkin RIP 😘
😮
I think if Michael hadn't bailed when he did, they would have been as huge as say Aerosmith
70 ые, самый настоящий рок, живой, по сей день!!!!!!!!!!
Iong live rock and roll!!!!
Петербург
Абсолютно! Десятилетие, когда рождались такие шедевры невозможно забыть. Нальчик.
Nithing beats this decade of music 🎶💯🔥💕
Axl Rose is covering this on a new Michael Schenker album 😮❤
The differneces between UFO and today's bands?
1. All band members are virtuosos
2. Each band member plays for the song as a whole
3. All band members understand the importance of music to the non-musician
And they all hug ea. other after a concert .... and eat Gummi bears .
One great written, performed & recorded songs from a killer lineup of musicians.
I think i wore out most of my UFO cassettes listening to them cruising around back in the day.
Summer nights, car windows down, and great tunes to drive to.
How i miss those days. Especially the music.
The 70's was the best decade of music in my opinion.
This song makes me cry. So beautiful!
Same here
Thank you for this. This is my favorite UFO song of all time and I’m glad there’s an excellent exposition of a lyric video to accompany it
I was about 15 when I heard this song for the first time. It still blows me away today as much as it did that first day
People used to talk about Chicago's Colour My World having a long intro, but this has an intro almost as long as that entire song, then an epic outro. UFO were always an underrated band, but this is an iconic hard rock album, an all timer.
This track is orchestral. Absolutely heartbreaking.
Amazing.Wondefull.If i compare this with the music from today😞I have had the luck to fell and see this at real
and can live at this great time
Absolutly same level as smoke on the water, stairway to heaven or what ever...never understood why UFO was never that famous...just take the album "flying"...so inovated...
Long Live Rock 'n' Roll!!
wie wahr!
Ich finde die neue LP auch mega geil
This maybe the greatest song of all time
And the new one with Axl. I love it 🎉
I see Schenker as a modern Mozart his contribution to music is exceptional and moving.
Randy Rhoads said the same about Michael Schenker.
@@1Phepsi interesting 🤔.
@1Phepsi Well Randy is no slouch. He is responsible for furthering the case that rock music has become the equal of classical music in composition and melody. I did remark that Randy made his guitar sound like a keyboard , remarkable.
@timothygrayson Randy Rhoads was definitely a great guitarist, and I thought it was fantastic of him to say that he considered Schenker one of the best players and composers of the time. What higher praise is there, than to be regarded so highly by one of the greats.
@1Phepsi Definitely. Spot on friend.
I burnt out this song during the 70's, 80's and beyond so rarely listen to it today. However, the incredible visuals constructed during the video enhanced my interest in the song again. Creatively, the best effort I've seen (here) for a non pro video. Excellent work = thumbs up and new subscriber.
Fav song by UFO
Words fail me !
I discovered this band through this album and after that I became a fan and this ballad that closes this album really captivated me because it is very beautiful.
Remember me on my great teen time...great song...great voice...great band and Michael's solo...absolut masterpiece ❤
Best power ballads song my favourite ❤❤❤
Best ufo line up. Especially with MSG
Brilliant song!
Bloody dam masterpiece !
FANTASTIC Rock Band. Even BETTER Live.
A piece of art. Rock music in absolute perfection.
One of the best live bands I ever saw.
U FO with MICHAEL SCHENKER 🎸 YOU CANNOT BEAT THAT… I RATE THIS ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Waiting for Axl's version on vocals
Such a fab band, never got the opportunity to see them.. always work commitments.. one of my biggest regrets
I`m sorry to hear to hear that mate. I saw them open for Ozzy and it was a great show. Both bands were kickin.
Michael, Michael, Michael amazing, amazing, Genius.
The intro is absolutely mesmerizing!!!
Fuckin rocked....
Let's hear Axl singing
Well, screw the other labels, but I personally liked them. DAVID JONATHAN GARRIS ESQUIRE RET WARNER BROS 🐾🐕🐶
Didn’t Michael Schenker play on this album?
Yes, he played on the first 5 Chrysalis studio albums, Phenomenon, Force It, No Heavy Petting, Lights Out and Obsession, plus the double live album Strangers In The Night.
all masterpieces.@@1Phepsi
Later CD releases sharks and covenant are excellent. Actually, some of the songs on both releases I prefer over vintage UFO I grew up on during the 70's.
Their best "later release" was the 1995 reunion album Walk On Water which featured the classic lineup of Michael Schenker, Phil Mogg, Pete Way, Paul Raymond, and Andy Parker who recorded Lights Out, Obsession and Strangers In The Night. Not a bad song on the album.
UFO fans of Paul Raymond will enjoy this version featuring Paul on keyboards. The piano only. RIP my friend.

One of my favorite songs by them. Been a fan since 1977!
Лучшая подача исполнения!!! Всем уфологам привет из Новосибирска!
👋Привет из Башкирии!
Brother...
Ron Nevison brought the best out of UFO. A band at their creative peak with Michael Schenker’s guitar absolutely blistering…
UFOs there everywhere, I am a 70s surviver,love this band 😂❤
Great video to an absolutely classic song!
Saw them w Tonka early 80s. Finally w Schenker on Walk on Water tour. Just plain amazing. Was the fabled Strangers in The Night line up. One of the best shows ever for me. Club on Long Island. Felt like a coliseum of sound. So many great albums from 70s-2000s. I like this Chrysalis recording along with late 70s Rory Gallagher on same label. 2 under promoted groups. But it’s better since they play smaller venues for the fans.
Excelente banda que recuerdos. 😢😊❤
Not only one of THE GREATEST ROCK SONGS EVER, this is also THE best, most imaginative lyric video I've ever seen. Really a GIFT. Thank you!
Von der Kimposition ueber den Gesang,Arrangement und übermittelte Atmosphäre einfach
Klassik.Jeder der UFO Musiker erfüllt seine Aufgabe um dieses Werk zu realisieren. 6:36 6:38
Saw a reunion show at the Vic theater in Chicago 1993(?). One of the most awesome shows I’ve ever seen to this day. The crowd was loud singing along at times they almost drowned out the band! They sounded great!
classic
The rhythmic laid-back-phrasing of the vocals is out of this world. Marvelous and a prototype of how a world-class singer could/should give his best to a song. One of the best bands of the world UFO was, as a matter of fact.
A few yrs ago I saw UFO in a place in Hollywood, they played all the great songs except Love to Love, great show, walking back home , I told my friend “ they did not play Love To Love, he said “yes”, a couple of old people like me(I’m 60 no), was passing by, I said to the gentleman” they did not played Love to Love; he said “no, but I did not like the show”, I surmise it was probably because old farts go to a show and want to listen and reminisce about their past time. I on the other hand, was so elated being there, I was about 55 yrs went that happened, and guess the old couple was probably my age or f a bit older. Bottom line, I scream my lungs out when I’m go to concerts and sings all the songs, in inside the concert that man saw me singing, so he probably said he didn’t like me because he stared at me having a great time.and he just wanted to reminisce. I’m 60 yrs old, now and songs like Love to Love keep me feeling young. UFO sonabitches, Rock oOn!!!!!!!!
few songs ever capture that epic nostalgic feeling like this -tears in your eyes
I was 20 years old first heard them wow still kicking 🎼🔮🩵
I was addicted to this band in the late 70s. Saw them live 5 times -- only once with Schenker.
AWESOME
Some know it as misty green and blue. wonderful music from when i was a kid.
killer
Baita música, uma das mais lindas do Rock
🛸 UFO'S Identified! 'Phil Mogg': 'Paul Raymond': 'Michael Schenker': 'Pete Way': 'Andy Parker': "UFO"-🛸 Phenomenon is 'REAL'..1977.."LOVE TO LOVE" Forever-🌎-'CLASSIC'..🎼..🕊️...
First part is a little like Tubular Bells
Nice song
With MS..hahahah 🎸
Capolavoro❤❤
Gran tema, tengo el doble álbum Strangers in the Night uno de mis Top live
How I wish I could be one of you who got to see these guys live. I had tickets for a show in Orangevale CA in 1993, I think. Somewhere around then. Michael stomped off stage in freaking Modesto the night before my show was supposed to happen. So close, but yet so far. Damn!
Jesus gave us UFO. I love this band.
Dont shoot me for this but.....Axl Rose sings this better
It was meant for him for sure! Something about his voice really takes you back to certain times!
@@KNRKandybar it isnt perfect because they 'studioded' Axl but still...it's wonderful
I had there album 😊
Powerful....
UFO and Uriah Heep two unique rock band from 70's
one of the most underrated rock bands of all time (Obsession, still plays in the car)
My favorite track of the almighty UFO

This song really hits your ❤heart& soul. The 70s oh how i miss them.😢
Very wolfy,we are hear, grrrrrr
What a unique band of my Generation. No one sounds or did it like Phil Moog and the boys.Saw them on the Mechanix tour and then at Knebwoth with Mountain and Deep Purple & others. In the later years in Brighton.I used to listen to my brothers copy of this in 1980 when I was 14.UFO and Thin Lizzy then steered me through the NWOBHM.
