We're looking at next years early favourites for each of the 3 leagues. The Championship, League One and League Two.
Looking at both the automatics and playoffs so there's a few different teams involved. Some obvious ones but also some rogue shouts that have a chance next season before the transfer window starts.

My predictions:
Promoted from championship: Coventry, Burnley, Leeds.
League one: Huddersfield, Bolton, Peterborough
League two: Bradford City, Fleetwood Town, Notts County, Doncaster Rovers

@elaineblackhurst1509 we're far from the worst (Bury/ Oldham/ Wimbledon/ Luton) but we have to be up there. Getting kicked out of our own city 3 times and going down to League 2 is abysmal for a club our size. Not many clubs go from Prem to League 2
@@elaineblackhurst1509...well yes, because they were 'homeless' for at least five years - when they were involved in a lengthy dispute with the (Ricoh) stadium owners SISU.
It culminated in SISU banishing them from the stadium - their home ground effectively. And they had to play all their home games at Northampton's ground - some 35 miles away. This went on for several seasons - around four or five.
The dispute was eventually resolved, but Coventry City have a tense relationship with SISU still.
Especially after they were robbed in the FA Cup semi-final.

Would be shocked if Duff doesn't have Huddersfield at least pushing for autos. Barnsley were relegated with 30 points and he came in and got a 4th place finish and a play off final.

@Footy13s Yeah definitely possible tbf. There's usually a team coming down that expects autos and underestimates the league.

You’re right about the top end of L1 being a cut above, but there *is* a real gap between L2 and NL, apart from ex-EFL clubs stuck in NL who sort out the issues that put them there in the first place; otherwise, NL is mainly non-league in every respect.

My predictions
Championship top 6: 1. Burnley 2. Leeds 3. West Brom 4. Luton 5. Norwich 6. Coventry
Posh are going up, at last. It would be nice if Barnsley and Bolton joined us, as they have also lost out in the play-offs these last two seasons.
L1 - Hudds/ Bolton
Playoffs - Barnsley/Brum/ Charlton/ Lincoln
Fancy Boro and Cov to have good seasons. Statistically the team losing in the PO final average 9th the following season 🤞
Rotherham have signed 7 and most of the players we have actually kept are good especially in league one. Reason we were so historically shit was injuries especially at the back and having 2 horrific managers not players like odoffin Humphreys or Rathbone
Leeds, Burnley, and Coventry - to all come up to the PL for the 25/26 season. Leeds as Championship champions.... Burnley in 2nd, and Coventry through the playoffs (beating West Brom in the playoff final).

I think Gillingham have a good shot for play-offs+, they've got good owners and have already invested in high quality league 2 players. I think they'll do better than last year.

I think that Sunderland AFC will iver reach the playoffs or be in the middle of the 2024/25 sky bet efl championship table and with Sunderland AFC they haven't got any striker players all they have got is all midfielders, and center back players and that is why Sunderland keep up going down the table and even Sunderland AFC need to get themselves a new football manager by helping them move back up the table again and sign some strikers during the summer transfer window .
And with Peterbrough United they will definitely go back on the top 2 places or be in the 2024/25 sky bet league one table and they will definitely get and sign new football players during the summer transfer window and that would help Darren Ferguson Peterborough United to move further back up the league one table again and even Darren Ferguson wants Peterbrough United to go back into the championship division again.
So that is my thoughts and opinion about the Sunderland AFC and Peterborough United games throughout the 2024/25 efl football season.

Why is everyone hyping Luton again? They're losing Barkley for pennies, are funding a new stadium and haven't got the financial power to instantly replace their assets. They played us twice last year and both games they looked dreadful if I'm honest, yet we were one of the worst PL sides in history. I can't even see them getting play offs, nevermind autos.
No clue, Luton in a fantastic financial situation, massive injuries the only reason we went down.
@@mehatmecoat9286 wouldn't say fantastic. Heavy funding going towards new stadium, plus losses that come with relegation that have to be balanced with only one year of parachutes. Not in debt like Burnley but hardly cash and asset rich. Everyone had injuries last season, pretty sure Luton's weren't that bad bar Adebayo maybe? Though I wasn't keeping too up to date on Luton, unfortunately I can't see them challenging the better sides in the championship. 7-10th placed finish I'd say unless top tier recruitment this summer

Signing a 35 year old striker when the two other promoted teams - Champions Stockport County and Runners-up Wrexham are both ruthlessly reducing the average age of their teams, is an interesting alternative strategy.
