Yeah, the cable of my headphones is shitty so sometimes is hard to tell if that "the needle catched a dust particle in the grooves of a vynile disc" sound is the actual song of my fault for shifting the cable slightly
This makes me feel like I'm sitting alone in the dark of my flat at 3am, my face illuminated only by the bright shine of the phone screen, being dragged deeper into my own depression, only to spot a happy announcement of a friend's success, and then feeling genuinely happy for them.
I know how you feel mate I also was at this point. Depression can be cured if you want to. Speak to your friend ask for help if you feel you can´t do this on you own.
Dear Patricia, thank you for this album. Our world is a richer place since it came out, same with Gelb and Schwarz. I listened to it for the first time whilst running out in the fields of our little corner of Oxfordshire, the sky was big and the wind was making waves in the barley fields. I felt very lucky to have experienced it for the first time like this. I wondered if it would be possible to perform your The Delivery with the orchestra I’m leading here in the UK, the Academy of Ancient Music? Best wishes and looking forward to discovering your whole back catalog after hearing Daß Triadische Ballet.
Hi! I'm pretty sure I can get the sheet music for The Delivery from the friend I got to transcribe it, my email can be found in the 'about' section of my channel.
Sometimes I leave the auto subtitles on. I wonder if it can hear things I can’t. For the first part of the album it kept saying “applause” and “oh” and random moments. Beautiful music btw. “What a Wonderful World” was an amazing rendition. So unique. Gave me chills. 💖
In contrast to Gelb's burlesque tang, Rosa is sensual, passionate, and ethereal. When listening through, I could almost see the couple from Courtship, see their child in The Delivery and watch them grow through Cambria, when What a Wonderful World brings it all to a crashing end. After Gelb's rubbery joy and Rosa's close comforts, one can only imagine what sharp, fantastical worlds will be conjured by Schwarz. 4.7/5 works great with Gelb
Listening now, this is gorgeous. Sorry I missed it earlier It does a good job of making me feelings that I usually don't get from other types of music. Inspiring
9:46 "Spiral Staircase", such an amazing piece, I didn't expect to find it in this album! Pleasantly surprised. I'm proud to say that your music had made me cry.
I’m going through a lot of stress right now but listening to this album, even with its abrasive beats, helped me calm down. It made me feel like I was in a distant land full of floating islands with threes and flowers on them
Just like all of your music, I get a strange sense of meloncholy with a mix of.... I'm not even sure, I've been very depressed and down as of recently, I'm losing any sense of identity and this music just wants me to... be creative and prehaps discover myself again, thanks for all the work you do, it means a lot!
this is helping me through a really unprepared for and bad moment of my life. change is happening but this feels like warm rose familiarity. thank you so much for what you do patty.
Just discovered your music via my friend Galen Stapley and his cover of "Rosa". This is lovely! So glad to have discovered your music! All the best to you!
This is probably my favourite of the trio. There's a sort of story (a love story I'm guessing, given Spiral Staircase) progressing through all these tracks. At least I feel like it ties them together more than the tracks on the other two chapters. Favourite track: Cambria
Hey, found you via HboBomberGuy's Skyrim vid, LOVE your music! I don't know much about EDM or IDM or what-have-you, so my clumsy comparison to Aphex Twin will have to do, sorry. Anyway, keep it up! *Also, just watched the misteramazing critique, super embarrassed for dude.
yea so i've been listening to you for the past two days straight and I've decided you are what happens when you put Aphex Twin, John Darnielle, The Postal Service, Andrew Bird, Tchaichovsky, a cassette recorded copy of the ninja turtles nes game soundtrack, and a poorly calibrated smart-fridge into a blender and then drip-fed all of those elements a steadily-increasing supply of designer psychotropics, all the while reading poetry to a stone in a desperate attempt to FEEL SOMETHING!
What are you drumming on along with? I am in a tight space currently and only can fit a double pedal and roland spd with some decent sounding samples in my room.
@@microtonalmilio5233 Right now a Roland Td-11k and an spd-sx with stock samples (haven't even began to uncover what that thing's capable of). I do a lot of playing during little breaks I take from working at home so having an electronic kit keeps the neighbors from knocking on my door.
So next is gonna be Schwarz I assume? Fuck you're a great musician, you're actually gonna release three albums in the span of three days, and they're all fantastic. I dub thee, 'Patricia Taxxon, official madlass'.
Second best from the trilogy. I like the sound of this one too and I respect the more calmer tracks here for sure. The cover song is fantastic tho. Much more sweet.
i hope it's not just me, but are courtship and the delivery musically similar to anyone else (chord progression, melody)? I've been spending a fair amount of my free time just listening to these songs to best figure out how to compare the two of them.
I know very little German, but it roughly translates to “The Triadic Ballet, Second Title: Pink”. I watched the filmed version of Triadisches Ballett in school German lessons, it’s on RUclips, this’ll make a lot more sense once you know about those.
It's a reference to the Bauhaus, a German art institute that was pretty big and new in its time (1920-1930) they were big into abstract shapes. Das Triadische Ballet is a creation of said art institution (I do art school and I'm literally studying art history rn so that's why I know)

I get that it's abstract i suppose but I'd say take a lyric writing course n definitely some singing lessons) 11:42 Vocal sounds better here aside from "my garden" no idea what you did to make them better unless you recorded them later (after having more practice) 12:05 - 12:25 Really don't like that outta tune call and response. 13:10 - 13:30 Dodgy vocals 13:58 Pointless key changes till it ends at 14:40 I was wondering, did you get the rights to use "What a Wonderful World" or is that why it's heavily edited to be lower in the mix? I cant be bothered to listen anymore but i may return to critique the rest.
