@@Professional-strugglerIf I ever made it across the pond I would make every effort to meet up with you! You have that everyday person charisma that makes you so popular. Another thing I notice is you give everyone your ear and you actually listen to them, rare thing in humans nowadays plus your funny as heck 😆🇨🇦

Hi Chris ....what a mega vlog mate .... absolutely loved it 👍🏻👍🏻
The difference between the shows in Lincoln and Newark are like night and day....Lincoln and all you can eat buffet and an a la carte meal in Newark.
You can't beat enthusiasts and equipment! Pride , knowledge and give you the time to explain their pride and joy.
The electric lorry ....wow 1936!! The first Tesla and more reliable!!
Cracking day for it to! Can't beat the sun ☀️ until it rained but you had a good dry spell!!
I was at the Tattenhall classic car show yesterday and saw some amazing vehicles ...harriers , 1600 sport, rs 200, 6r4's , intergrale's....to Jensen interceptors and Lamborghinis....was a great day ! Listening to some of the old American V8's....roaring !
Truck spotters 😂😂😂 rule 😅
Funny enough yesterday the car park had as many super cars nearly as the event!!
Catch you in the week mate Gary 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Wetting myself at the end with the train spotting bit 😂😂
Thanks for helping bring back some great old memories looking round the show. I past my test in a DAF 2800 (30 year ago)😂. I remember my old man driving a Scammell and AEC. I would love to see some off the new guys trying to drive they old things with no power steering and splitter gearbox. Bloody good show and would love to go to it one day👍
I could listen to Geoff all day long about his life, I bet he's seen some things. Thanks Chris for taking the time to talk to your subscribers. 👍
Me to mate! love hearing the stories of the past, I’d love to do a podcast and talk to all the old ones while there still with us ❤️
@@Professional-struggler That would be really good listening to the old guys escapades back in the day, people need to remember once they are gone they are gone no getting those stories told from the horses mouth, I wish I'd of asked my Grandad more than what I did about his Rolls Royce tow truck which he and his father converted during WW2 they used it for pulling army vehicles out of ditches and muddy fields as it wad the only vehicle that could do it. If my Grandad's dad wasn't available the police asked my Grandad to drive it and get the army vehicle out he was only 14 with no licence 🤣 those were the days. I have a photo of the Rolls tow truck, it was based in Fareham Hampshire, Even Rolls Royce tried to sue my Great Grandad because a Rolls Royce shouldn't be made into a tow truck my Great Grandad told them to jog on he said it's his vehicle that is bought and paid for and he can do what ever he wants to it, Rolls Royce weren't to happy. 🤣 If you want to see the photo send me your email address and I will send it to you.
@@Professional-strugglernow that’s something I can get behind and just like this channel it will be a bloody good podcast
Bloody brilliant cheers Chris ❤
The East Yorkshire Motor Services buses had sloped sides in order to fit through Beverley Bar.

Wow, what an amazing video!!! I can’t believe how amazing Jeff was!! I’d love to still be that active & mentally sharp at that age. Wow, that “hybrid” truck was amazing!! Some absolute treasures there Chris!! Wow, what that guy didn’t know about twin splitter boxes wasn’t worth knowing. Very knowledgeable man!! 👌 One of the best gearboxes I ever had the pleasure of driving. Had one for just over 2 years. Once you were used to it, it was an incredible box!!! All the best Chris. Thank you so much for this!!

Absolutely superb video, Chris. The 1930's hybrid wagon is absolutely amazing. What a feat of engineering from back in the day...
Fantastic.... Why would anyone waste their money on a TV licence when we have great stuff like this to watch??? We watched instead of Sunak/Starmer..... no contest!!
Brilliant video Chris. Some of them old trucks couldn't half shift at the end
That was a nice surprise as you got my classic Albion Mixer getting shunted back on my low loader and then again leaving and yes Ben Guy Big J was my fav motor too.
at 91 years, the transformation of society he has seen is immense, ww2, cars, phones, computers,...........
Brilliant Chris what a Difference it makes for people who have the knowledge to put something back together and keep it running for us all to see and some of these young men in there 80&90 should get there things they know down on video, enjoying this one 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧 A Big thanks too everyone who took the time to get there👌
I agree mate 💯! Lovely to catch it on film for everyone to see 👍👍 cheers Thomas mare
I'm thinking that show ground was the old air base that I stayed at for a fortnight in 84 or 85 with the Army Cadets, we came down from Dundee.
The old billets they had us staying wouldn't be put up with by the young uns today 😂😂
Possibly mate there was an old air field just going out of balderton near the old A1 there is still a plaque there 👍
I love All your videos Chris keep them coming I'm from DUBLIN IRELAND and if you are ever over here I will Buy you some FOSTER'S and that old Electric truck from 1936 was BAD ASS and they are trying to bring out All these E,V,s today and they had them 100 years ago. I remember learning to drive a truck when I was a kid it was an 1970s BEDFORD and I whould drive it around the yard all the time I chould drive a truck before I chould drive a car and I got very good at Reversing truck's because I whould get to Park them all into the workshop at night

I worked on a crane that used a diesel generator to power the hoist, trolley, and traction motors. Quite reliable but difficult to set up potentiometers for speed control.🇨🇦

Mint video mate ❤ the Chanel 😂
Cheers Shane mate ❤️👍🤠
Merv Edwards ran BNA302M on timber for a long while. It was ex-BRS and has a Cummins small cam 290 - uprated to 335 and a 13-speed Fuller Roadranger in it. Merv uprated the back axle to a Rockwel and it's legendary status as a dragster was born. It's claim to fame was that Merv's drivers couldn't get it into top gear due to the speed it was travelling by the time it got to that last gearchange. So good to see it still runs after so long in the shed...
Fantastic Chris
