WOW, after all this hard work she finally won first place !! and she got 1st Overall at the "ALDC Nationals" not the Dance Moms nationals (which is next week).
Dance Moms concert is next week. Dance Moms nationals is the week after.

Madelyn Hernandez not true. The Last Text was a musical theatre dance. Musical theatre in the dance world is basically a dance that incorporates a bit of literal acting, not just in the face or just a small part of the dance. Hard to explain, but it's not just musicals.
Nia is a great performer. She did well in this performance

I agree but if it came to dancing, I though Kalani was the best because she could do everything Maddie could do and much more! It's just my opinion though 😚❤️
I think Maddie has much better technique and dances cleaner than the other girls. When I watch a group dance I can always tell which one is her. She can also add much more emotion than the other girls which again puts her dancing on another level.

Maddie is way better technically but I think nia is good emotionally
Nia deserves more big epic roles, she is so underrated and gets most of the Blame being the only black girl on the team needs more diversity for next season and Abby is just too mean to all the girls
Nia...this was one of your shining moments. Being such a mature peice I thought you were wonderful!!! Always remember keep your head up and never let anyone tear you down. Not even your teacher!!!! Keep up the good work and hope you can get a big break soon and look back at Abby as 1 BIG stepping stone. Wish you all the best!!!
This is like my favorite solo from Nia. Not because she got first place but because she did really well with her dancing and she did really good with the speaking.

i love this especially when she speaks and the way she ends the dance and walks off its cute.though i believe she almost forgot her words the last time.BUT HOWEVER she did not and kept going.i loke that.
I always loved Nia's facial expressions. She is so good at that and I'm happy she didn't lose herself in the dance when she gets into it.

OMG, So I agree. I was thinking the exact same thing. This is has Alvin Ailey written all over it. I think this dance form is most Nia. I also possibly Interpretive Dance.

Idk if its just my observation , but nia has a very unique skillset . Dance moms was very restricted to a specific type of contemporary and lyrical , there were leaps , turns , pretty things etc .. But that is not what is to the whole spectrum of contemporary dance , there is so much more ! And nia fits so well in the contemporary dance circuit , and many people failed to see that because to them dance was only restricted to the reality show . This solo really brought out the best in her , and gives immense joy to watch her dance 😍
The end of Season 4 were definitely MOST of the DM girl’s peak during their time on DM

I love this dance. It really shows of Nias passion and technique. One of the only time’s this kid got some good choreography.

When Nia has dances where she gets to really perform and act, she’s phenomenal.
Nia has out performed herself with this solo it is outstanding and amazing Maya Angelou would have been so proud of her it was worth the 1st overall that she got

This is Good but she hasn't a great tecnique. She NEVER points her feet (like kendall), she can't straight her legs Also in the arial... She has to improve her tecnique, Also because she's the oldest after Kalani!
This solo won because her emotion, her passion, that was really great (😍) but not because of her tecnique.
But I still love her!
Half of this dance was meant to have flexed feet. When her feet were meant to be pointed they were and she would extend her legs when she was meant to as well. It's contemporary so it's meant to be like that.
Flexed feet is supposed to be apart of the choreo. It isn't like she can't point her feet, she can. In some parts of the dance she points her feet. And her legs were pretty straight in her side aerial.

Oh my, you must not be a dancer I guess. There ARE moments when your feet AREN'T supposed to be pointed. It's called flexed feet. Please do not discuss something you don't know anything about.
+officecat WAIT, I'm 19 and i've been a dancer since I was 6. I know that her feet were supposed to be flexed sometimes, but when she was supposed to have pointed feet she didn't point her feet very well. Maybe you aren't a dancer and you didn't notice that. I didn't say anything about her flexed feet because obviously they were right.
So you shouldn't accuse me when you don't know things :)
The ending had me chills
I am sooooo happy that nia finally got first place and ive known all along that she could win with the right choreography maby abby will realize that less tricks are bettter in nias case (not that i dont love her tricks which i do btw) but as soon as they an ounced that nia wasnt 2,3, and so on, you could tell she didnt think that she even placed in the top ten so im really excited to see next weeks episode to see what abby has to say and i personally think that doing the experiment with the board made abby really think of how she has been acting towards the girls.

The dancers on here were incredible but the way they were treated was not ok, may all their childhood wounds be healed with the love of source and Abbey's if needed.
Nia is brave,firce, and talented and still she haven't got a solo at nationals. With Nia she has a good shot at wining

Honestly this is a great routine. Life is crazy because I am on this episode and just finished a research project on Maya Angelou. I think what would make this an even better routine is if it had some part about not speaking because when maya was young she stopped speaking for five years

I couldn’t see anyone else doing this solo; it was made for Nia. If she had more solos like this, I don’t think she would be seen as “underrated” or “replaceable” and Nia would have had the confidence of Maddie or Kalani. So much potential that just went unrecognized by Abby, but also the producers.
This dance is awesome. Abby should stop underestimating Nia, she’s an amazing dancer.
