Do yours have kind of low volume compared to other headsets? Mine do. Also, do you find them heavy after a couple of hours? My neck is definitely bothered after a while of wearing them
I cant choose! help me. At this moment i have the arctis pro wireless (2021 model) with the gamedac. This one goes to my sun. I play only Call of duty (footsteps are important) and i only use it on pc. I like wireless but i saw your review about the vzr model one wich i also like i think? With my arctis i like that the batterys are swapable and not screwed or soldered for longevity. I think i would like the combination of a few ones. for example: for footsteps the vzr model one, for comfort and convenience the arctis pro, the sound quality the audeze maxwell, for functionalitys maybe the astro a50x. Witch one would you or professionals in the comments recommend me?
Hey, I created this video and here's my thoughts: Off the rip, despite this being an unpopular opinion, I'm not a big fan of Logitech headphones. I grew up using them, but recently I think they've sacrificed comfort and quality and are relying on riding the brand name instead of producing good quality products. I would say there's a few brands like this, Razor being one of them too. I agree that having modular components is a huge plus, I love that you can swap batteries on the Arctis Pros. I'm also a big COD gamer, got Damascus in MW2019 and played others just as religiously! I've played COD with the Maxwells, and they perform great. Adjusting the boosts in the audio settings can also seriously impact and improve the footsteps, which I assume you already know! There's tons of tutorials online to boost footstep and AOE noises in any COD. Another option to throw into the mix, and sorry to increase the pool instead of narrowing it down, is the Eksa StarEngine Pros. Don't let the price tag fool you, they have some of the best spatial audio that I've encountered throughout the 10 or so headsets that I've tried over the years. They're quite comfortable too. Ultimately, I think there's pros and cons to each option you listed, though my personal preference would likely eliminate the Astros from the running, though I know some people who love them! If it were me, I would probably go with the Maxwells, there's a reason that I continue to use them even after the promotional video is shot, followed up with a wash between the VZRs and StarEngines. Hope this helps, let me know what you decide on. Thanks for the question and happy CODing!
How is the bass? Mine have like no bass and I was wondering if that’s just me. The volume on mine is also pretty low from 1-60 then gets randomly loud from 70-100
Not sure what's going on, GWD, but I would check all the different volume controls in your games, the operating system and, of course, the volume control on the Audeze too. Also try pairing them with another source device to see if that allows higher volume.
@@AskDaveTaylor I have all the audio settings turned up in game/pc/headset/windows. Using, other headsets, volume is much louder. I think it's the software in the Maxwells. I believe they turned the output down on purpose. They still sound good, just noticeably lower volume, than any other headset I own.
I'd reach out to the company and ask them. Unless they're explicitly targeting children, most audio companies seek to allow you the most dynamic headroom so you can set it to whatever volume you prefer.
@AskDaveTaylor I did these are terrible in comparison to the penrose. Very low audio, no bass. Even after messing with the eq for 3 hrs. They are definitely getting returned and I will search for a better product. Audeze dropped the ball hard with this headset. Literally put the penrose back on and 100x louder then the maxwell so sad I was excited for these but for 300 nope! They are more like 150 dollar quality headphones
@@def-po8tuHowdy, I’m the one who created the video. I’ve been using these as my only headphones for weeks and I’ve had no issue with volume. Ironically, if anything, they’re too loud. Especially when switching inputs or when the voice says “power on” or “power off”. I use them on PlayStation 5 as well as PC - on PS5 I have them set to minimize game audio when in a party (or run at about 65% or max volume when playing solo) and on PC I leave my windows volume between 50-55 (out of 100). Curious what platform you’re connecting these with and what you used to adjust the EQ… I assume you tried adjusting the physical volume dial on the headphones, your OS volume, as well as your master volume? Sorry to hear that you had trouble with them, regardless of everything else it’s frustrating to get a new product and not have it meet your expectations!
@GTAutoMedia I'm using it on pc, I have turned up all other volumes in windows and have adjusted the eq a few times now. Juat can seem to get the sound I want from them. In all honesty it feels like they are locked at 60% of what the max should be. Like if I switch to my penrose the max volume is to much and I need to turn it down but on the maxwell it just doesn't seem to be as loud. Things that are usually loud for me on the penrose are very quiet sounding on the maxwell. I'm using a z790 asus dark hero with a 14700k
This is very similar to my issue. I even tried the Pulse elite 3D, on PC, and it is MUCH louder at same volume as Maxwells. Pulse elite is made by same company with Magnetic drivers too.
Cool to see your son helping out the channel keep up the rest work 👍👍👍👍👍👍
love your video!

it does not have anc! its just for the mic

That sounds like it might be a source issue, not a headphone issue. Try them with a different music source and also try them in wired mode.
I just bought them, and the volume is also very low below 60

How can u make them louder? At max volume they seem very quiet.
Check your source device for a volume control too...
