I don't know why but it never occurred to me that South Africa has its winter in June/July/August 🤔
Looking at the list of A24 films, I think The Witch is my favourite followed by Ex Machina and Under the Skin. (I own these on blu-ray) watched Hereditary recently which was.....really, really strange and The Lighthouse, a film I wanted to like but perhaps I wasn't in the mood for it on that particular evening.
@@AminorMorning Yes we do! It’s always weird to think that somewhere the other side of the world people are experiencing a completely different season!

@@ingerlouise I was in Australia when it was Autumn there and spring in England...it felt similar actually.
But yeah definitely check out The Witch... it's so heavy with atmosphere, has some genuinely creepy moments and the ending is pretty stunning. Future classic I reckon!

I would recommend Victoria by Sebastian Schipper if you haven’t seen it - a single shot film. It is interesting, because as it is one single shot, it’s like you hold your breath throughout the film and let it out once it is finished :)) I like A24 films as well. The last one I saw was Dream Scenario and it was super good imo. Have a lovely day.
@@Dreamhousedream Oooh! Thank you for the recommendation! I’ll have a look if I can find it. That feeling of holding your breath is how I felt watching Medusa Deluxe, so it’s interesting that you mention that.

@@AliCatGamez It’s winter in South Africa (and the rest of the southern hemisphere), which is where I live.
