After having owned the Z for a little more than 3 months, I am absolutely in love with it. It's leaps and bounds ahead of the '94. So far, I've added American Racing headers, GHL Bullets, Vararam intake, Elite Engineering catch can, Pfadt tow hooks and swapped all of my interior and exterior lights over to LEDs. Running switchback style turn signals and halo LED taillights. Plus I just ordered some Corbeau seats. I plan on keeping her for a long time although I'll probably want a new C7 lol.
Thanks dude. The best I've managed to get for a 0-60 run is about 4.5 seconds with headers, intake, ECS tune and shitty Firestone Wide Oval tires. I'm curious to see how she'll run in the summer with hopefully a set of Toyo R888s. Shame to hear about your Challenger. The Rallye Redlines are sweet looking, but it sucks that they only have the V6s. Sorry for just getting back to you; I don't know how I missed your comment.
If you're on stock heads and cam, the FAST won't provide that much of an increase. Maybe 8-10rwhp? Once you go with ported or aftermarket heads and/or bigger cam, you should see more noticeable gains; more so with the heads than the cam.
1994C4Vette nice, I have c5 conv. with bolt ons also firehawk conv. with bolt ons and keep them nice with carbon fiber and chrome toys. Winter time I only drive them when the roads are clean from salt, that's the way to keep them that way. 4x4 f250 plays in the snow instead;)
Yea, I gotcha lol. Stick to getting air in and air out. Headers, intake and a tune are the best starting mods. Easy horsepower. When you want to get a cam, look into getting a custom grind instead of some off the shelf grind which might not be perfectly suited for your car. With a custom grind, they can look at the mods you've already done, what you want from the cam, current engine specs and so on. With what you mentioned, just bump the power a little and put good tires on and you'll be set!
Thanks man. Still not loud enough though lol. Gonna swap the GHL Bullets for a set of Borla straights. Hopefully be almost as loud as that yellow ZR1 from New York. I can only imagine the turnout next year. There were apparently over 500 cars yesterday.
Nice!! Glad to see you finally got it! It's making 380rwhp and 380rwtq with the headers, intake and tune. I haven't added any other go fast parts since then. Just changed all the lights over to LEDs and installed Corbeau racing seats, 5 point harnesses and a harness bar. I also got it lowered 1" last week. Next step is changing the wheels and tires. After that it's all track prep stuff; SS brake lines, track pads, upgraded rotors, SS brake caliper pistons, oil, trans and diff coolers, etc..
I liked your 94, cool snow video! But having owned a yellow 2001, I'd say that you will enjoy this C5 a lot more! I have had a 58,60,65,69,72,75,01. Now all I have is my 72 and my 75. My 72 has sat since 2010 and the 75 has sat since 1977. I bought a 2012 camaro to hold me over until the C7 arrives. I really miss my C5. When I sold it, it had 11,500 miles. A dude I know traded an 02 Z06 for a Honda civic. And another guy just traded a 03 Z06 w/ 5 k miles and a 67 GTO for 2 Hyundais. The stupide
I've heard some mixed reviews about Cartek. The only two shops that I'll let touch my car are ECS and Tune Time. Both are excellent shops with a bunch of great guys. The FAST intakes are really nice pieces. I'm assuming you want to go with their 92mm intake?
Not that you're going to deploy the airbags, but would you maybe reconsider another area to place a chrome badge? That seems like a FInal Destination scene, if I've ever seen one.
Yea. When ur car was on the dyno was like it sounds like mine lol. I got kooks lt headers and slp exhaust. I dont know if u saw the yellow c5 coupe or not. Its running super rich so the back end had black smoke all over it lol.
As long as you know the typical drivetrain loss, you can figure out roughly how much you make to the wheels. I'm guessing you're probably making around 320-325 to the rear. With 350rwhp, you're looking at about a 6% drivetrain loss which is insane. The first things I'd say to do would be a good intake, headers, catback, and a good tune. Stick to bolt-ons first then heads and cam. Also look at a suspension upgrade for better handling and brakes for increaed stopping power since it's heavy lol.
You have the SLP Power Flows and were parked in the lot on the side of the building next to the maroon Cobra, right?. I figured the car was running just a wee bit rich when I saw that. Good looking Vette though, minus the soot lol.
I'll definitely be going. I'm sure I'll see you at local shows or something. Feel free to add me on Facebook or CorvetteForum. I have links to those two pages on my channel.
If you're talking about the one that was after the black '09 Mustang GT, that's me lol. I posted up a video from yesterday if you want to go check it out. It's on their Facebook page and on the event page.
Haha. Yea. Thing sounds sick dude. I actually got a vid of ur dyno on my phone. I had the yellow c5 vette. My bro put his silver srt8 jeep on the dyno. Got a vid of that on my channel. Cant wait for the next show
hey man i really love your z and its like a dream car currently and this summer i have a pretty good chance of buying one and i was just wondering how yours is? you said it has 75,000 miles ish, is that a problem with that many miles? as in is stuff radling and shaking cuz of all the vibrations? and does the power seem a little weak? and did you buy it from like a 1 owner older person? thats kinda what im looking for because i dont really want to get one thats been beat to shit too much
Overall, the car is nicely designed. However, the absence of the rear 3/4 Window somewhat throw off the design of these earlier Corvette models, in my opinion. I think Chevy did a much better job with the upcoming 2015 Z06 model, even though it lacks the circular tail lights (which I think looked beautiful). The Vette is one of few sports cars that looks better and better each time a new model is introduced.
How did you afford that zo6? You seem pretty young for a car such as that! Congrats, but be careful thats alot of power. I had a LT1 z28 camaro when i was 18 and that only had around 275 hp and it was fast.
Looks good overall but ditch the auto zone special floor mats. Makes your originally expensive car look cheap and riceerish. Just my opinion may not be right, but trust me I'm right!
Just disconnect the solenoid, you still get the indication, but not a lock out. Like your C5, not crazy about a taller hood if not needed, but some people just think it's cool. I know you didn't put it on though. You put your money where it matters. Someday people will learn if you go for unnecessary visuals you'll have to put up at some point...
Cool car but I agree that all of the accessories are stupid. I like the black taillights because it contrasts well with the red, but I would ditch everything else. The floor mats definitely look wrong. The first things I would add would be a dash mat, a locking gas cap, and blacked out windows. Then a loud ass exhaust and sticky tires.
trollArceStaff wii Yup. I would get AFR heads, a big FI cam, long tube headers, forged rods and pistons, and then a huge F1 Procharger. I would also get a nice roll cage installed.
Lmao. Yea i need a retune. Cartek sucks im gonna have tune time retune it. I liked the lsx fast intake manifold. Saw a lot of people with it. Thats next lol
hey dude what was the company that made the mod to eliminate the fuel saving shifting bs that gm did. you know the thing gm did that would make you shift from 1st to 4th if you weren't driving hard? thanks in advance
I know that there's a couple of different companies that offer the harness that eliminates that feature. If you Google search "cags eliminator" you'll find a bunch of them. That feature was turned off when I had my car tuned after the headers and intake were installed.
+CamaroWarrior Tune usually runs like $500-600 depending on whats done to the vehicle. Your best bet would be to give them a call. Doug, Chris or Alex will be more than willing to help you out with anything.
I just uploaded 2 of installing an iPod interface for my car if you want to check them out. I want to make more videos, but don't know what to make them of lol. Running out of ideas.
free goofy Dude, you clearly don't know what you're talking about. The C5 Z06s never had the LS2, which didn't come out until 2005 for the C6 Corvettes. They only lasted until 2007 and were replaced in 2008 with the LS3. The 2001-2004 C5 Z06s had the LS6. The LS6 is just an LS1 with 243 heads, LS6 specific cam and intake, 10.5:1 compression and sodium filled valves. The LS6 also has a bit different block structure compared to the LS1 featuring windows cast into the block between cylinders, improved main web strength and bay to bay breathing. Besides, you could have also found out all of the information I just put here by just doing a simple Google search or finding the info on Wikipedia.
free goofy Yes, the LS6 is still a 5.7. Like I said, it's essentially just an LS1 with different heads, intake and cam along with a higher compression ratio.
fudgeman333 Seeing how you don't "GIVE A SHIT" if your (rude) comments R offensive, my ? is..FudgeMan used b-cuz u like it up the A**.. Thought So! Maybe you could add or change it too..FudgePacked?? just saying 2B funny ya know!

I got a 1995 base and I love it ..im hoping to upgrade to a c5 z06 by next year beautiful car dude
Man this car is beautiful
Extremely sharp Vette dude. Just wish it was mine.
One of the nicest c5s I've seen,👍👍👍
Thanks dude. The best I've managed to get for a 0-60 run is about 4.5 seconds with headers, intake, ECS tune and shitty Firestone Wide Oval tires. great ZOsick, definitely get the mods, c5s love them and respond very well to it.
So far I've done headers, intake and a tune. I'd love to do a 383 stroker with a nice heads/cam package next!
Beautiful car. So clean. I have an ECS blown 2004 z. I love it. Enjoy that car.
Respect for having a Mustang and Corvette nice ass cars bro

Awesome ZO6… from a C7 base owner sir.

What would look nice would be a white ZO6 with a red kit instead of black great video plan on getting a vet just like this one keep up the good work
Cant wait to get a c5Z, beautiful ride man.

It's a beast I was looking at a black one
A1. Topnotch. 💯👍🏾

I love Oklahoma no emissions tests sick car!
looks great but ditch the floor mats. Those are totally Mexican civic specials
But that adds 10 more HP!
Excuse me but we are not that tasteless in México
@@Eidrian111 no but when you get to America yall just go all to shit in the taste department...all fat white women
IZE83L facts
Nice Z, man! Great find!!!
Not that you're going to deploy the airbags, but would you maybe reconsider another area to place a chrome badge? That seems like a FInal Destination scene, if I've ever seen one.
Congrats dude! I'm also buying a 2002 corvette but just a normal coupe model though to compliment my 93 vette.
Awesome! They're definitely fun cars. It's hard to believe that I just hit 80K miles a few days ago. Good luck with your's!
nice and clean
That hood is cool af
beautiful

What hood is on your z06 . They make several that looks like yours. But what is yours ? I love it.
It's a wonderful

I really like your Z,, Question , can you tell me if you remember the name brand of high rise hood on your Z ?
I'll definitely be going. I'm sure I'll see you at local shows or something. Feel free to add me on Facebook or CorvetteForum. I have links to those two pages on my channel.
The hood doesnt match the bodywork or so it looks? Slightly lighter red?
Very nice .. congratulations
If you're talking about the one that was after the black '09 Mustang GT, that's me lol. I posted up a video from yesterday if you want to go check it out. It's on their Facebook page and on the event page.
We have the same car with 9,000 miles perfect color. And air intake
Nice.
Haha. Yea. Thing sounds sick dude. I actually got a vid of ur dyno on my phone. I had the yellow c5 vette. My bro put his silver srt8 jeep on the dyno. Got a vid of that on my channel. Cant wait for the next show

The rear piece is called a diffuser
Nice car... If I see you on that highway in Mexico. .. I'm gonna test ya....

I agree with you but at the same time I guess he want's to keep the car clean. Still a sweet ride.
God if only gm had made it in the hatchback body style

is that package 450 hp at the crank ?
Cool car but I agree that all of the accessories are stupid. I like the black taillights because it contrasts well with the red, but I would ditch everything else. The floor mats definitely look wrong. The first things I would add would be a dash mat, a locking gas cap, and blacked out windows. Then a loud ass exhaust and sticky tires.
Agreed. I'd supercharge it. Loud exhaust black tail lights and windows. Also I'd lower it nice rims and 5 point raceing seat and harness
trollArceStaff wii
Yup. I would get AFR heads, a big FI cam, long tube headers, forged rods and pistons, and then a huge F1 Procharger. I would also get a nice roll cage installed.
Oh dude this thing is nasty. Was this the one on the dyno at tune time?
Ok cool. Thanks. Anyway i'll see u at the next open house if u go lol
is that the lingenfelter high rise hood?
Lmao. Yea i need a retune. Cartek sucks im gonna have tune time retune it. I liked the lsx fast intake manifold. Saw a lot of people with it. Thats next lol

Sinister_Z06
thanks man, what they charge for a tune and for a dyno? and cool you going balls to the wall with that LS7, ill watch the videos indeed.

late model racecraft is in Houston and they do some sick work on Chevy's look em up and they are closer!
I just uploaded 2 of installing an iPod interface for my car if you want to check them out. I want to make more videos, but don't know what to make them of lol. Running out of ideas.

Good old NJ and their fascist government inspection system...Sooo glad I got the hell out of there in 91.🤔👍😂🤣😅
phenominal condition.
i thought z06s had ls2? his has 5.7 coverrs and those dont make 400 hp
you really dont know much about vettes do you haha all c5 z06's had ls6's but the 2002-2004 ls6's were redesigned and stronger than the 2001 ls6
free goofy Dude, you clearly don't know what you're talking about. The C5 Z06s never had the LS2, which didn't come out until 2005 for the C6 Corvettes.
